Hey Dani or anyone else that may know,

I was driving down 88W yesterday heading towards Batavia and noticed an outlet mall. Actually the big "Nike" and the swoosh on the outside of the building caught my attention. Then I noticed all the other stores Gap, Banana Republic, etc. Have you been to this outlet? It's at the Farnsworth (N) exit. Is it worth it for me to take the drive this week or weekend to check it out?

I meant to ask my friend when I finally arrived at her house about it, but was late and she had already started her demonstration.

Thanks, Dallas

Thanks Dani!

You really know how to navigate around the internet...link to the mall and all! Thanks!

It looked pretty busy on my way home. I really wanted to stop in there, but it was already after 6P. My DH already had the kids for 6 hours by then. Oh, I can't wait to go now!

Did I mention thanks?! :7

Take care!

Dallas

No problem Dallas! I remember their website because I was so excited about the grand opening. I wanted to check out all the stores!

OMG! When you go you have GOT to make a stop into the Cold Stone Creamery!! It is the best gourmet ice cream I have ever tasted in my LIFE!!! When you're at the mall, you can't miss it because it smells great. Just follow the awesome aroma and you'll find it! I generally try and stay away from sweets and I'm not a big dessert person, but I couldn't resist this place. :)

Just check out their website: http://www.coldstonecreamery.com/secondary/history5.asp

Excerpt from the site:

"This is where you get to invent your ultimate indulgence. The granite stone is your palette and you're the artist. Do you feel like freshly made coffee ice cream, with Heath bar, fudge and caramel? Maybe you're in the mood for banana ice cream with brownie, banana, fudge and roasted almonds. Any ice cream, any mix-in, all blended to perfection on our frozen granite stone. Mmmm!

"Hi, have you been to Cold Stone before? That's the beginning of your ice cream experience. Then you select your freshly-made ice cream. Next, choose your Mix-ins. Your first mix-in is free, so you can't resist. Brownies, candies, fruit, nuts? The crew member takes your ice cream over to the frozen granite stone and mixes in your favorites just the way you like, smooth and creamy. A freshly made waffle cone or bowl is the perfect way to enjoy your custom dessert."

Hey, Dani!

But how would I find this place?!? ;-) Just teasing.....

We have some of those type of ice cream places around here - Maggie Moo's and Marble Slab Creamery. Very expensive but very fun and delicious! My fave is cinnamon ice cream mixed with teddy grahams in a waffle cone! Obviously a once-in-awhile treat!

Ooooohh.... I love Coldstone!! I bought a cake from them for my family at Valentines day and it was amazing. It has chocolate and cinnamon red hots which sounded interesting but I was blown away. Let's just say it would not have been my first pick if the kids hadn't been pushing for it, and I was beyond surprised at how good it was.

Dani ~ Umm, did you have to mention that ice cream place?! :p That sounds wonderful. I guess if I really commit to doing this insane rotation then I can afford to have a little treat. I'm trying to figure out when to go because as you know the extreme heat is back. Looks like me and the kids are in for the next few days. Too hot to even go to the pool.

I'm not going to cheat until I have some Cold Stone ice cream! My dh's family is in the ice cream/candy business. I hope I don't like it too much! LOL! :7

My DH and I went last weekend to the premium outlets near us. We got $790 worth of stuff for less than $400!! 4 new pairs of shoes, 9 new shirts, 4 new shorts, 3 new pants. I think that was it.

HAVE FUN!!!

Oh, the ice cream. We've got a new Cold Stone on every corner out here- seems like they're following the Starbuck's business model. I think anything you choose you'll be happy with. Enjoy that too!!

I love the Coach outlet there. I bought a beautiful new Coach purse for 60% off! Awesome!!!

Cold Stone!! I want some!!! :7

Oh, and I have to add. I was walking with my little boy (at that mall) while he was eating his Cold Stone ice cream. He let out this sound like he had a tummy ache or something. I asked him, "Are you okay sweetie?" He said, "Yes I'm fine. This is just soooo good." TeeHee!!!

That's a cute story!:7

I just had the chance to look at the link. I better not go, that place sounds dangerous!;-)

Don't even tell me about 60% off your Coach. I just got one at full price. x( Maybe I can return it.

I'm going to attempt the August rotation. So, I better go shopping while I can still walk!

Have a good night!

I had to find this thread. Peoria has just recently opened a Cold Stone Creamery and I didn't know it until last night when we went by it!! LOL! Had to go back and get some since I remembered this thread about it. It was YUMMY! I had a cookie doughn't you like it, I think that is what is was called. Good thing it is about 45 minutes away! :p

It was cool! They started singing as we were getting ready to leave. It was very busy in there. Have to go back soon!! LOL! Is there a menu on their website? I need to check it out.

OMG Dani!!!

You should see the lost of their creations!!! I am in heaven!!:p :9

Don't look at the nutritional information though, it will scare the crap out of ya!!! LOL!!

ETA: There are 33 different ones! (besides the ones you put together yourself)
