Anyone watch tonight?? I really enjoyed tonights show! I especially enjoyed Drew! He was so funny jumping around. His performances were amazing and worthy of every point! I was disappointed with Stacy, as were the judges. There was little pizazze to her free style.

I just cannot get over how much I enjoyed Drew's free style!! Such a fun routine!
 
I missed it...work seems to get in the way of all my free time:-( Please fill me and don't leave out the details;)

Everyone did 2 dances...one from a previous show, then their own freestyle. Drew received 60 points out of 60. Stacy got a 56 I think, then Jerry. jerry did better tonight, though. I think he got a 26 and a 27...I think.

Drew did the freestyle to the "Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy" song. I taped it on my DVR. If I can replay it and tape it onto a VHS, I'd be happy to pop it in the mail for you....if you have a VHS player;-)
 
I watched the second half (but I guess that's when they did all the dancing anyway), the first hour I had to see who got booted from American Idol.

I LOVE DREW!! Loved him from the start. Unfortunately I couldn't get through when I tried voting for him. I hope he wins the finals!

I was surprised Stacy didn't do better for the freestyle I expected better from her. Jerry actually entertained me during his freestyle. But my vote is for Drew all the way!!
 
That is so sweet Sarah!! I'll let you know if I need it. My best friend promised to tape it for me (DH ran late with business meetings as well). Could you imagine telling your business associates you have to leave early because you have to watch "Dancing with the Stars?"...LOL. Yeah, right:eek:

Was Stacy's freestyle worse than Jerrys? Was Jerry really good?

I wouldn't say worse than Jerry's (I don't remember the scores the judges gave) just safe and bordering on boring. I expected her to be right up there with Drew's performance but it wasn't. Jerry actually had some lifts throw in his performance. I was impressed.

Like Sarah said I cannot believe how much I enjoyed his freestyle....those 2 are just so fun to watch. I think Stacy just set her standards so high that the freestyle wasn't at all what I expected...Jerry, for not having any dance background I thought did well. His lifts were great!! But my vote is for Drew...:)...Carole
 
Stacy's routine just wasn't spectacular! The first 1/2 of her freestyle dance I was saying "She's not doing anything we couldn't do with a few days practice". It was true! Also, there was this huge build up to her performance. Her dance partner wanted her to get use to "being comfortable in the air" so they went and worked on a trampoline and then on one of those trapeze things. Made you think she was going to be flying all over the place! They did ONE lift...ONE! It was at the end and I thought they screwed it up. It looked like mid way, she got stuck on his head or something!

Thinking about it, I think it would be hard to do lifts with her because she is so freaking tall! However, it seems like all her other performances had way more fire! Oh, let us not forget the pace of her dance...pretty slow beat.

All in all, I was SO GLAD that her routine wasn't anything great because I have always loved Drew as well.

Still wish Lisa was there! I bet her free style would have kicked ass!

SUNDAY NIGHT is the FINALE!!!
 
I've watched on and off and I saw most of the show last night. I've been rooting for Drew the whole time! His dances have personality and I love his Thriller dance...too fun! Anyway, I do hope that he wins!

I'm a Drew kind of girl. He was truly the best last night. That routine was so fun to watch. I think they deserve to win. karen
 
I thought Drew's freestyle was superb! And a lot of the credit, I think, goes to his partner who choreographed it. Like the judges said, it had everything in. It was exciting, sexy, fun. And Drew looked really professional.

Stacie's wsa dull as dishwater! Looked like a bit from a High School play!

Jerry did better than in the past, but I still wish Lisa had been there. I would have loved to see what she would pull out toward the end.
 
Drew has got to win this thing or I will be really upset. Last night was the icing on the cake, IMO.

Jerry - Totally out of his league at this point ( no NFL pun intended ). Almost serves as a distraction from the two main couples.

Stacey - Tired of the attitude. It was time to put up or shut up and there was just no substance under the flash. Note to Stacey: See what happens when you mouth off to the judge, paybacks are a pain. ( the judge gave her a lower mark than Jerry!)

Drew - This guy is what this show is all about. Great personality, great partner, great work ethics, and it all is coming together just when it should. Last night was a well deserved decisive victory.

I want Drew and Cheryl to win. I used to want Stacey to win, but changed my mind last night. Drew has worked his @ss off, and almost missed the Super Bowl for this thing.:) I think he deserves it. DH and I tivo'd last night performances and had to rewind and watch their last dance again because it was so much fun to watch. That entrance ws so amazing!

I loved,loved, loved Drew's performance. Once again he and his partner are just incredible. They are a perfect fit and just a great dance couple. I hope he wins. Stacy's performance was not worth talking about. She said Sundays performance was going to be great, so we'll see.
 
I have been behind Stacy to win all season, but I was very disappointed in her freestyle. It was so... dull. Drew was awesome!!! His partner is so great too!

I agree! It seemed like something you'd see in a High School performance! Drew was head and shoulders better than Stacie (in spite of their height differences!). I hope Jerry's misguided football fans (who brought him to first place a couple of weeks ago) don't make him the winner! I think the votiing system needs a change!
 
Doesn't it figure that I didn't realize that it was 2 hours and had my VCR only set for an hour and a half! saw all the re-runs of the past dances, and the "best" picks of everyone's dances and missed all the free style, which is what I was looking forward to. Hopefully in the 2 hour show tonight they will show the freestyles again!
p.s I want Drew to win too!
 
I missed the freestyle part (my sister, who lives 3000 miles away, called right then, and I didn't have the heart to tell her that I wanted to watch TV instead of talk to her). I would imagine, however, that the free style dances will be replayed tonight. They do have to fill two hours, so it makes sense they'll re-do that part.

I'm hoping for Drew to win as well. I switched my "loyalty" from Stacy to Drew a couple of weeks ago. On the other hand, I have to admit that I do tend to cheer Jerry on, but I don't think he should win the entire thing. He does seem to have the biggest fan base, though, doesn't he? And yes, I too think Lisa should still be in it.

I did that too, thanks to TV guide and their bogus listing! I also figured that since they had 2 hours to fill they would replay the freestyle dance. GO DREW! My next favorite is Jerry 'cause he tried so hard and is so gosh darned likeable! He REALLY did improve, y'all must admit.
