<--is seeing DH off to FL today for trip to see parents/get generater for parents
<--had crazy fireworks experience last night
<--says it began to sprinkle then to rain and quite hard as the dispaly came to an end
<--left park in downpour, soaked to the skin and hug out in traffic glut for ages
<--was with only Sam and Syd so a good time was had by all
<--was told by Syd it was her best 4th EVER
<--loved how everyone stayed in the "spirit" and no one seemed perturbed by the rain even though it came at the most inopportune time and was ironic as we are always hoping and often disappointed even during the "monsoon season"
<--went from melting in the heat to being cold in damp clothes and chilly AC car with defrosters needed :D
<--ate cotton candy, Indian taco and roasted corn to Sam's amazement
<--said it was one of those times when diet be damned, it's a eating things one never eats kind of moment with no ill effects as it comes once a year
<--hopes everyone enjoyed whatever festivities they attended or didn't for that matter

<--'s DS was up about 2 hours earlier than usual this morning and it threw <--all off! It feels like 3pm but it's barely 1pm! :eek:

<--lets Nancy know that <--hasn't been indulging too much in the Edy's, <--'s lactose intolerant, so a little goes a long way!

<--says it's sunny and muggy today but <-- is enjoying that certain peace that comes about knowing the DH is on his way to his parents who drive him just a little, okay a lot, crazy yet <-- knows that means zero dear husband finicky fussiness and that is a treat though <-- would never tell him anything other than she misses him dreadfully
<--will have Sam as sleepmate for the duration of his visit to Old Personville, Florida and can play hookey, leave dishes in the sink if she feels like it and never have to try to have things spik and span or make the bed or cook something edible for that matter :D
by the time he gets home

<--proudly placed her hand over her heart for the Star Spangled Banner and stood cheering a group of Marine's who were guests of honor and of course, is delighted by fireworks and delighted her kids aren't as jaded as she thought because we took turns claiming them the way it was when <-- was a kid and we stuffed the station wagon full of kids, arms and legs and sometimes heads sticking out and forget seatbelts, who can seatbelt 10 or 12 kids, and headed out for one of the highlights of the year
<--has another stinky headache today and thinks eating Indian tacos is just a little dangerous to the infrequent flyer :eek:
