Good Morning Dearies!

Wow, we were a talkative bunch y'day, huh? LOL

Today's work out will be another TLT work out and then I will probably take the KICK class at the gym tonight. :)

Lori:: Glad you enjoyed your alone time with DH. Yeah camping in the middle of nowhere would not make me too happy either. LOL DS was just trying to make you feel guilty for leaving him. I'm sure he was fine 5 minutes after you left. I see it all the time at the gym! Yeah, sorry about the NY Marathon. I'm sure you'll find one to do though.

Jacque:: So are you sore from LL this morning? That work out is KILLER, isn't' it? I like yoga but can only seem to be into it for a limited amount of time and then I get bored and avoid it for a while. I haven't taken a Centergy class at the gym in a while--perfect example! LOL I was laughing at the responses I got in FB to my dishwashing request. :D

Diana:: Good job in BC class! Okay then that settles it! P90X it is! Is my 3 weeks until starting it time frame okay for you? We don't have to start at the exact same time but if we don't, it would help if you started first! :p Change is good! You can go back to STS once P90X is complete! I'm not so worried about increasing strength as I am about changing my body. I think that is one of the reasons why I have shyed away from STS. It was only ever tauted as the work out that will get you STRONGER. I want something that will have me coming out the other side looking like a super model! :D;):p Well okay, maybe not, but you know what I mean and the X sure did it's job when I did it a couple years ago!

All caught up. Need to get this posted before Lori wakes up! :p

Good Morning!:)

How is everyone? Its raining here today so I don't know what we will do. I need to do some housework so the rain kinda comes in handy! LOL But I also want to go for a run and thats where the bigger problem comes in!;) Abs and a run...thats what is on the agenda for today. The thought also crossed my mind to go to the mall and pick up some dress pants for work. Im not so sure that is a wise idea with DS.

Wendy** He wasn't even sad when we left! We always sneak out. The only time he cries is when he sees a picture of us, then he loses his mind. Have a good workout today!

I may bbl, DH as left his laptop home!

Good Morning girlies!

Last night after work, I had to go let my mom’s dog out for his pee break, so I decided I’d take that as a reason to hit the road for a run. Her house is 3.2 miles away from mine, so I got 6.4 round trip and made the pup happy with my company for a few minutes. This morning I got up and did Firm It Up, and tonight I may take a walk or something, but certainly no run. My legs are tired now.

Boy, what’d I miss in here yesterday? You guys were pretty chatty!

Laura: Sounds like your vacation was a blast! The first week back to work is always a downer though, isn’t it? Seriously, how is it that you’d be picked for a jury where you know the plaintiffs? That’s amazing. Sorry you got stuck with that. Yes, Wendy and I had a blast at Foxwoods, and Wendy is super fit for sure (not that I expected anything less.)

Diana: Props for getting Drillmax done and exceeding your step goal!! And bootcamp! Woohoo! You are having perfect weather it sounds. I could use some of that, though I’ll take this hear over rain any day. When is Jerod starting school exactly? My kids aren’t going back until September, after Labor Day, but I understand the stress that goes along with that .

Jacque: What was the final step tally after getting your housework done? I managed to get in 19,700 when all was said and done yesterday :D.

Lori: I’m totally impressed with your for going camping!! I’ve gotta admit that those days are totally behind me. I used to do it, and kind of liked it, when I was much younger, but these days I require a nice soft bed and comfy sheets. And an indoor toilet ;).

Wendy: Still too afraid of the scale. I can just feel the damage from the weekend. I know we really didn’t eat too poorly, but those drinks always do a number on me! Gonna wait it out a few more days and suck down the water in the meantime.

Well, I should really try to get something accomplished today! I’ve been here for two hours and have barely gotten a thing done. Will be poppin’ in a bit tho ~

Still no workout for me yet. But its only noon'ish:) I did run to walmart and picked up a few things that we needed. Its still pouring rain outside:mad: This computer ticks me a little as well...there is something on here that is super duper touchy and the page flicks all over the place:confused:

Jen** That was a good idea to run to your moms last night:) I was thinking the same thing about camping...I like my bed to much!!! I think I would really enjoy it if we had a camper or something like that...then I would be in. But I don't have $1000's of dollars to spend on something like that right now.

BBL!

Hi Ladies,

Oh my, I woke up with leg DOMs this morning....I'm sure it's from the harness runs and backpedaling, hill runs and 100 yard dashes we did last night. I really should've done upper body this morning but I kept with the rotation and did b&g. I usually do the walking lunges w/10# db's but quickly dropped to 8's. Loved the ab work and need to be doing more of that. I actually took some ibuprofen before I left for work.

I have to be at work early tomorrow so will not have an AM w/o. To make up for that...tonight I will do PUB while the boys (dh and ds) are at football practice.

Wendy-the Insanity plunge..or GWF???? I hope it's Insanity! I should be ordering mine soon..in the next week or two. Yep, I'm game for p90x in 3 weeks when you finish up your rotation. I can honestly say I made huge strength gains with STS, not so much with the X. The x keeps the rep range...or rather I did anyway in the 12-15 range. STS had us only doing 6-8 reps in M3.

Lori-sorry the rain is putting a damper on your planned workout. Don't you have tm...you can use that if all else fails. I guess it's pretty hard to use the tm with a toddler around.

Jen-forgot to mention that I am really liking GWF now. I'm still having trouble getting the trip function to work. It's only worked twice for me so far and I cannot figure out why. Also, I know I have sleep issues and the GWF shows me only getting about 5hrs of sleep per night. Jerod actually starts school tomorrow. He is busy finishing up his Honor's Science project that is due the first day of school. He has to do a project on one of Newton's laws. He's put in many hours of work on this and I certainly hope he gets an A. Wow, you must've had a lot of energy last night. I thought I already moved a lot...not so much according to the GWF.

Laura-What are you up to today? How did manage in class last night?

bbl

Diana: I'm glad you're enjoying the GWF. I'm addicted to mine. I wonder what's up with your trip though? Are you holding in the button for a few seconds when you try to reset it? I know mine won't change with just a click. Ugh, my kids would hate it if they had to do a science project before the summer was through  Patrick was inducted into the Junior National Honor Society before school ended in June and he's already worried about what the community service aspect is going to entail! The kid is a straight A student but only does what he absolutely has to do. Kinda cracks me up a bit. I wish I could've been a straight A student that way! Anyway, I'm hoping Jerod gets an A, too! He deserves it after all those hours :)

Hey Peeps.

Yes, it's Insanity that I bought, ladies. :D:D:D I think (assuming it will be here within a week-I have never had any trouble with BB's shipping *knock on wood*) that I will use Insanity as my main cardio during the final 2 weeks of my SS rotation just to get a taste of it. I can feel the pain already! :p

Just finished TLT #2 (Better Burn...Better Buns). I liked this one better the one I did y'day (Strength in Movement). I finally got to use my Valslides for the first time. I bought them way back when STS was first announced and had never used them! Well let me tell you...OH.MY.GOD.THE.PAIN! I know paper plates work too but I didn't want to have to worry about replacing them when they got worn/ripped, etc. We did similar moves in Pilates on friday using plates. Good stuff! ;)

I still plan on heading to the gym for the 5:30 KICK class. I know that room is going to be like a sauna even though it's air conditioned! It always is when it gets too hot outside. They even run two big fans during class but it only helps so much. I'm gonna need LOTS of water and a super sized SHAM-WOW to soak up all the sweat!:p

Well off I go to grab a snack. I'll be back later to catch up on personals. :)

Wendy-I can't wait to order mine now. Are you planning on combining the X w/ Insanity? I never lost any weight with the X and my bodytype requires a balance of cardio and weights. I'm thinking the shorter cardio's may work to my advantage.

Jen-What grade is Patrick in? Jerod is starting 8th grade and has basically been an honors student forever. He is very smart but sometimes I worry about him because he doesn't have many friends. My middle son also didn't have many friends but seems to have quite a few now that he is in college. DH expects DS to get straight A's. He's smart enough, but he also only wants to do what is absolutely necessary. Sometimes he would get a 93% and DH would say..why didn't you get a 100%..DS would respond that it's still an A.

I'm so hungry today. It looks like its raining, but if it's not I'm heading out for a walk, I'm only at 4400 steps and it's 1:30. My walk yesterday was good for about 3-4k steps...its about 2.5 miles.

Diana: Patrick is also starting 8th grade. He's never been one to have a ton of friends either, though he's becoming a bit more social this year. Must be his age. He has one close friend who he's been hanging out with a bit this summer. They like to go mountain biking together. It's kinda funny about your DH...I'm kinda the opposite. When Patrick gets mad at himself for not getting a hundred I'm the one saying "Dude, chill...you still got an A." ;)

Wendy: Glad to hear you're taking it easy during your recovery week...NOT  You crack me up.

I'm back!

I thought the KICK class was at 530 but thank goodness I double checked cause as it turns out, it's at 630. This means I have some extra time before leaving so I figured I'd catch up on personals now. :)

Jen: But I AM taking it easy, I swear! LOL The TLT's are not as long nor as tough as SS no matter how much the valslide work hurt! :p So now that I've pretty much bailed on doing CLX Push with you after SS (sorry! :(), will you stick with that plan or do something else? How long do you think you will do SS for?

Diana: I didn't lose more then a pound or 2 with the X either but my goodness, the fat loss was AWESOME! I leaned out beautifully! Hoping to have those same results again! :D I would like to attempt to combine the X and Insanity a bit if I can. I will try but not sure how that's gonna work out for me. I guess I will ease into it and see what happens.

Lori: Loved your FB update about the dog biscuits! Too funny! :D

DH came home from work and collapsed on the couch. He woke up in the middle of the night not feeling well. He sucked down airborne a few times plus whatever appropriate meds we had in the house and trudged off to work anyway. He works in elements all day. He was exhausted by the time he came home. He's passed out right now....It'll be a quick n easy dinner night for us!

Alrighty, I'm outta here for now.
BBL or in the morning babes!;)

Wendy: CLX is still the plan because I'm thinking the shorter workouts will fit in well with the earlier schedule that goes along with the start of the school year. I'll likely start with Burn as well. That said, one influential factor might just be your reviews of Insanity :p If you're going crazy over it, you'll probably unwittingly convince me to take the plunge myself. You know how that goes  :D So if you just want to report how much it sucks, you could save me quite a bit of money ;)

Hey Gals!

I ended up doing DM today (thanks to Diana:)). I couldn't run outside b/c it was to yucky! I didn't think I was going to make it through DM either with DS under my feet:confused: Ugh...I had his t.v set up on the other side of the room...with all of his toys...but of course, he didn't want to play THERE. He wanted to play on my step, with my ball, then he wanted cathes ball in the t.v, then he was eating more dog food....it was just a disaster and he was doing it all for dirt b/c he would laugh when I would get mad!

Wendy** Are these new workouts that you purchased? DH brought me back some AE jeans from the city last week and I LOVE them. I am trying to decide if I should order more online....it always kills me to click "checkout" on line! LOL I don't know why! Oh and yes, as soon as we got home from Walmart he started giving the dog some treats, but he had to taste them himself as well. He didn't even screw up his face!

Diana** Sounds like you had a great workout last night! I can't get on the TM with DS around and DH didn't come home for lunch either. DS would have his fingers stuck in the belt...or be trying to climb on the back of the TM, maybe next yr this time I will be able to get on there with him in the same room.

BBL!
Lori:)

Hey ladies,

I'm a bit frustrated...I wasn't really feeling like doing PUB when I got home so after putzing around a bit I decided I would mow the lawn instead. I went out and filled it with gas, it started up..and smoked...and died...and now I can't get it started. Now I'm frustrated and PUB is sounding great...except that now it's time to get dinner going before DH and DS get home from football practice. Guess what I'm doing now..shoving my pie hole with chocolate chips and they are delicious I might add.

At least I got to go for my afternoon walk. My business park offers yoga classes M & W for an hour at lunch for $4. One of my co-workers asked me to join her tomorrow so that will be my only w/o for tomorrow. I have to be to work early in morning so yoga it will be. She actually does yoga on a regular basis and was impressed with the instructor so it can't be too bad. Oh, and the first class is free!

Lori-as i was typing that you could use your treadmill I realized how dangerous that would really be with a toddler running around. I usually use drillmax as a premix but it's nice to "as made" every now and then.

Jen-Guess what....Insanity are shorter workouts too. I'll be the enabler this time. Wendy-you're off the hook!

Laura-you must be on the jury today. Hope all goes well.

Hi there ladies !

Was a busy day for me BUT I did just get of my TM after doing CCPP (but skipped the last challenge). Ended up running 55 min for 5 miles. Still dripping and dripping after 10 min of walking around and stretching out. Whew ! Almost think Insanity would be less of a workout?

Wendy - So you did it did ya? I am still toying with the idea of getting them just because they seem like they would be a great short type of a blast workout. HIIT does me well. OD'ers were complaining about the $25 shipping - is that what you paid? Some said if you order from a coach it is cheaper? What is the scoop on that? Well the legs started getting a bit tight/sore this afternoon after I hit the stairs a couple times - now after my run they are definitely crying to me a bit. All good for now, we'll see what happens tomorrow when I do GS Legs?

Jen - I have been doing shorter workout alot and think I need at least a couple longer cardios or HIIT to keep my metabolism up here. So you been glugging the H2O and eating clean to rid yourself of the weekends toxins? :p I liked your idea of running to your Mom's and back - smart girl you are ! ;)

Diana - Wowie you kicked some bootie with your workouts last couple of days. Don't worry about today - yoga sounds nice and "stretchy" for tomorrow. You'll make up for lost time or if not, oh well . . . Sorry about your frustrations this afternoon. Choc chips sounds like a nice way to make them drift away ! Yum ! and you know they are healthy, right? I had 4 squares of dark chocolate myself last night - and I wasn't even frustrated, just feeling like I wanted something to eat before bedtime !

Lori - way to go on the DM today. Sounds like a great workout for a rainy day. Did you get your Walmart shopping in today? Hopefully the rains goes away for you soon. Kinda funny how you spent such a nice sunny weekend and now it is raining already, huh? Is that typical weather for you back there at this time of the year?

Well ladies, supposed to meet our fellow Old Fart's League teammies (our roller hockey gang from 10 years ago) at sushi tonight in half an hour. Think the sweat may stop here soon so my shower won't go to waste. Can't wait to see what GWF says for a cal burn on that one . . . nitey nite.
