C'mon now ladies...say it with me! TGIF! WOOT WOOT! :D

So today is Tear It Up for sure. Depending on how early I am up tmrw I may try to squeeze in a final cardio work out before heading up to meet Jen. :)

Well I didn't get on the scale y'day morning but after controlling myself wonderfully all day long AND at my MIL's last night, I hopped on the scale this morning pretty fearlessly and it paid off. I'm back down to that "new low" that I had hit at the beginning of the week. You know..what I USED to weigh!? :D

So I have a nice peaceful morning ahead of me. I have to be in work at 8 but I won't have a 4 year old hanging on my leg until then. ;) I left him at my MIL's last night. He will stay there until tmrw afternoon when MIL and SIL will bring him down here to meet DH. A relative is having a pool party and they are all going. DH will bring him home after the party.

DH was at Great Adventure all day y'day and ended up staying pretty much until the park closed. That being said, I wasn't coming home childless and doing nothing after dinner so I headed over to visit a friend of mine while he was on break from work. He's a security guard in a hospital about 30 mins from my MIL. We actually were able to hang out and BS for almost 2 hours. We don't hang out often so it was nice to GTG with him....even if it was in a hospital cafeteria! LOL DH and I ended up getting home within 30 mins of one another (1030-11).

Jacque:: Serioulsy perhaps the BC pills were having more of an impact on you then you realize! Maybe they didn't cause you to GAIN weight but perhaps they were making it extra tuff to LOSE it! Sorry if the "small" thing came out sounding funny. I didn't mean it that way. :confused: Yes, you MUST join FB!!! Jen is supposed to join too! :D

Lori:: I have ONE 5k race planned for Labor Day weekend with my old running buddy and my DH too if we can get a sitter for it. I am only doing it cause my friend really wants to. It's been nice taking the break and not being so serious about the running for the past several months. My interest is starting to gain momentum again now so perhaps I'll be ready to re-commit for next racing season. I have not ruled out a full marathon. I WOULD still like to do one but I am not putting any pressure on myself. The only way we'll get into the NYC mary is to do it through charity. I actually don't want to do that for my first one. TOO BIG and INTIMIDATING for me personally. If I do one and want to do another then I'd consider it.

Woot Woot Woot Woot ! ! ! Yep it is definitely Friday and I'm a Happy Camper yes I am ! ! !

Last night I ended up doing Kick Max premix Challenge - the first half which was "blast" type work. Great 25 min of plyo and leg drills where I was sweating before the warm up was done. Tacked on a 20 min run and do believe it was about a 400 cal burn per GWF in only 45 min.

Wendy - Nice relaxing long weekend here for you then without DS for a few days. Good for you ! I know you will kick it up here before you leave to head the fun weekend off before it starts. Great job on DCing the past couple days to get back to your LIGHT weight ! :p The "small" didn't come across the wrong way - I knew you meant more on the petite side of things. My wrists are not even 6" around so not only am I on the shorter side, 5'5" but have a very small upper body. That is why the added weight on the lower half bothers me. Others view me as a small person who can eat anything they want to and gawf at me if I say I have gained weight. It isn't the weight, it is the fat padding that bothers me. I think we are pretty much on the same page, huh? ;) I had read that once you stop pills you tend to drop weight - after all your bod is assuming you are pregnant and need to store the fat for the baby - and of course it is just where I need to drop the inches ! Time will tell but I can be patient if it comes off like this and stays off ! :rolleyes:

Lori - wow what a great party you had ! You aren't being cheap by using your "earnings" to get Xmas gifts. Think of what you did to just have the party - it took time to clean and prep food and then you had to clean up ! Did you get your run in?

Jen - well today is DDay so hopefully you got your files ready? :D That means today is a play day at work for you? ;) That and getting ready for a kick butt weekend. Can't imagine what those people are in for with two of you energizer bunny martini cosmo drinking ladies in town ! ! ! :eek::eek::eek: It will never be the same. So remember pics pics pics girls.

Diana - what are you up to today ?

Laura - are you ever coming back from vacation? ? ? :D

Hi Ladies,

I slept good last night and feel so much better today. There wasn't time to lift weights yesterday but I did make it to bootcamp. Since football is starting we've been kicked off the turf field and have to use a grassy park. Running, shuffling etc is so much harder in the grass than it is on the turf field.

In order to catch back up on the rotation I'm going to do CTX upper and a cardio w/o of choice. I think DH and I are going shopping later. He is in desperate need of jeans and never shops for himself. We may even go out to lunch!

The only things left on the to-do list are to finish up the basement (jerod and I can do that), clean out our closets & dressers, some filing of some papers-things like my workout calendars...I want to put them into a binder and label by year, also some loose phone lists for work etc.

We had planned on closing our refi-loan today but it looks like it will probably be Monday. An attorney will be coming to our house to go through the closing process. It should only take about 30 minutes.

Wendy-I forgot to mention that I do like the Pure Strength series. It is one of Cathe's older w/o's, but it is a goodie. I think this is the series that introduces sit-n-stands. You can't beat it at a 30% discount if you're seriously considering it. Enjoy your weekend with Jen, and ladies...don't get into too much trouble! Glad you have reached your goal weight, that is an accomplishment and we know how hard you've been working this.

Jacque-the kickmax blast challenge is a tough 10 min blast. Those scissor jumps are so hard for me. Just mentioning this has me wanting to add in STS plyo legs sometime soon. The GWF says I only burned 260 cals at bootcamp last night. I was 10 min late..had to drop Jerod off at a friends. We did intervals of running, shuffling, pushups, pull ups, squats, dips, walking lunges etc. Congrats on the weightloss!! You and Wendy are the only people I know that lose weight when eating more.

Lori-I think its a great idea to use your hostess earnings for Xmas. I have a large family and Xmas is alwasy so expensive for us. Personally I would prefer to spend my money on my immediate family...maybe someday we will get there.

Laura-hope you are still enjoying your vacation. Guessing you must be coming back home this weekend???? Looking forward to seeing all the pics!

Jen-Do you get to relax today...after prepping all week? I hope so.

I better get goin' on my workout or I won't be cleaned up in time for lunch...and shopping.
 
Hey there!

BBL for personals but just wanted to say that most of Tear It Up is done. I stopped with about 27 minutes left and will do it in the morning. I want to go to pilates class tonight so I didn't want to OVER do it. Cleaning right now and then gotta pack. So much to do...gotta go!!!!

Hey girlies !

Thinking today will be a rest day - home late after shopping (hopefully racked up some good steps ! :p) and not wanting to do Plyo Legs as scheduled. Smoky mess around here - there is a fire a half hour away but the wind has been blowing and we are getting very hazy and smelly. Supposed to be less windy by Sun so that would be a better day for a run anyhow.

Diana - good to here you got lots of sleep ! Did you get your "make-up" workouts accomplished? Man you are making some great progress in your "to-do list". Niiiiiccceee - I bet you feel great about that ! Wow - you have an attorney coming to sign the re-fi paperwork? We always just go to the escrow company? Is it special or the way they do things there? There are many times with Cathe's lunges, scissors, etc. that I feel my legs will go down and not back up ! Like I get stuck ya know? I feel some of them more in the quad than in the ham or glute. Thanks on the wt loss - I am confused about it but guess I wasn't eating enough? That or the meds. Whether it sticks or not remains to be seen.

Wendy & Jen - nice job getting your workouts in ladies ! Hope you two have a total blast and light the town and casinos on fire ! GO DC'ers GO !
