Damage Control with Insanity...Tuesday!!

Good Morning!:)

I set my alarm a wee bit earlier today. Not by much, hoping to start my workout within the next 30 mins. I think I am going to use the TM and do a circuit workout. My foot still feels weird though, not sure if I mentioned it yesterday. Its my left foot and it started to hurt on the side but now its all the way at the bottom. It almost feels like its cramping up. I don't think its a big deal b/c I didn't do anything to it. If it had happened while I was exercising or something that would be different but it just started yesterday afternoon out of the blue. It may not bother me once I get sneakers on.

I have a few things I need to get done today. I need to mail my sisters chrismtas parcel, do out some christmas cards and go back to sears with some more parcels.:confused: They sent boots that the zipper is broke and a little toy for DS that is broke!:confused: And the pants are to big:D Plus, I have to work all day and have my baby group dinner tonight. I am looking forward to it.

Wendy** Your not working today?? You have to stay at home and wait for hot repair guys all day!?:) Lucky you! I think the element on one of my burners is gone on my stove. It doesn't matter what # you cook anything on, it burns up:confused: I just wait for things to fix themselves! LOL

Jen** Did you get a workout in yesterday? I don't know whats wrong with you people, just cause you have social gathers, doesn't mean you can't workout:D This time of year is TOUGH!

Laura** You guys didn't get your swine flu shot? I have had mine for little over a week now. I guess it should soon be kicked it. We had a "wave" of it come through here a few weeks ago and I think 7 people died in this area. They (whoever they are) said that there is another wave coming through in Jan sometime. Im not sure how the predict this stuff but they do.

Good Morning Ladies,

UUGGHH, another sleepless night last night. Well I fell asleep okay but was woke up by the snow plows plowing the street. We live near the elementary school and everyone drives down our street to drop off/pick up their kids so they do a good job of plowing and sanding our street. When we get the new windows they should cut down on the sound considerably.

They started a bootcamp class in my business park yesterday. It cost $135 for 4 weeks, m-w-f, 40 min classes. I paid and took the first one yesterday...I wasn't impressed. It's all body weight exercise class which is fine, but I thought it be more like insanity cardio followed by bodyweight exercises. It was much slower pace than what I want. Also, I can get a year long membership to my rec ctr for $300 so it seemed pretty pricey for only 4 weeks. On top of that, I will be gone for at least one week during the session. I'm going to ask for my money back...I don't expect there to be any problems.

Our last meltdown class is Thursday. I had that class last night and it was awesome! It had track running, stair running, tubing, balance discs (using weights) and noodles. I have the best trainer, she keeps things fun but works us hard at the same time. The next class I will be taking is Spring Fitness Challenge, but it doesn't start until Mid-February.

I was planning on doing PUB but I don't have enough time. I'm leaning towards GS C&T for this morning. We'll see.

Have any of you checked out the bodybuilding.com website? They have...I think they are called bodyspaces, you set up your personal profile and you can blog about your journey, goals, pretty much anything.

Lori-you have a busy day planned. I'm thinking you're regretting ordering from Sears, as you've had your fair share of issues with them recently. I have not done one xmas card myself. Need to get busy on those soon.

Wendy-you must be working out early today!! Hope you get lots accomplished on your day off.

Hey Ladies ..

UGH .. I have been in meetings all day .. but got a BONUS $$$ for being only office to meet collection goals for last year (bonuses got cut due to budgets/economic concerns but they made them good for us today) :D:D:D thank goodness I might have made my goals for last year .. but sorry to say it "aint lookin' good" for this year :( they had lunch catered .. and it was AWESOME .. BAKED chicken - potatoes - beans - salad w/extra fruits and veggies .. mmm mmm mmm .. thank goodness healthy and DELISH!! :D:D

Lori .. I wish we all had your dedication to working out no matter what .. will you ship me some of that for my Christmas gift????:eek: I try but man my damage control has been non existant lately .. :( :eek: .. I did have an awesome step circuit class last night ... We didnt take the flu shot I never do .. I am just not sure about them .. and DH had a horrible reaction to the ONE he took years ago .. so he wont go near them .. but luckily he does not have swine .. just got the CRUD .. but I still have him in home quarrantine ... ;) .. he is on vacation this week .. Poor baby .. but think todya he is a bit better .. but I am still not taking any chances.. so he stays in quarrantine :p

Di .. snow plows .. first thing in morning .. bummer ... it is cold dreary and raining here .. today and tonight supposed to be around 52 and nasty .. tmrw clearning and dropping to the 20's :eek: :confused: :confused: .. hope the rain drys before it freezes we will be one wet ice slick THURS morning if not ..

SO after my delish but filling meal .. I have PLYO class tonight .. that 'ought to help :) .. last night's weighted portion for some reason set me on fire .. I did some low end holds and pulses and YOWZA my muscles were on fire .. have some doms in the buttocks today .. so plyo is gonna smart a little to begin with :eek: ... ok .. have a great one!:D

Sorry I'm so late getting here, but work is still crazy. I'm starting to see the bottom of the pile though :) Did I even get to visit here yesterday? I think I did...

Anyway, I managed to get in a short HIIT run last night after work to kick of the official start of Afterburn, and I did weight workout #1 this morning. WOW. It's kicked my butt to do the leg work with heavy weights. It has been a long time since I used a barbell loaded with a decent amount of poundage.

Laura: Yay for bonus money!! That should make Christmas a little easier. I think with all the classes you teach you're doing plenty of damage control and don't have anything to worry about.

Diana: I'm feeling your pain regarding sleeplessness. DD had been hopping into my bed the past couple nights and it's making for a very restless time. Is that the same bootcamp class you've been taking? Why did they change the format?

Lori: I wonder if you might be dealing with a bit of plantar fasciaitis? Considering all the running you do, it's possible. You're very motivated to getting all your Christmas errands done! Think you send some my way? I don't like the Christmas season at all.

Hello to Wendy and Jacque! Seems like we're all a bit hit or miss here lately.

Oh, I'm slowly making my way through Precision Nutrition and I really like it. It's nothing new, but there's something about Berardi's writing that pulls it all together nicely and makes a lot of sense. He makes it doable. He's got got good suggestions about nutrient timing and food prep. The recipes look very good, too. Is it worth the hundred bucks? Eh...we'll see. If I'm able to stick to it and shed the five pounds I want to shed then I'll say very loudly yes ;)

Hi girls !

Thought I'd pop in so Jen isn't the last one here ! LOL ! :p

Work is not getting any better - I worked 2 hrs at home last night, 2 hrs at home this AM, took a short lunch, an extra hour at work and will do more once I leave here ! UGH UGH UGH. Then naturally, boss gave me a little project to have done by Jan 1 - switch from vac/sick time off to one PTO bank. Yeah Right ! All to be done before Jan 1 and I'm by myself with 2 short payroll weeks and year end IN ADDITION to all my other work (I usually don't do this payroll - my assistant will be out for a few weeks and that leaves me with an additional 20 - 30 hrs of work while I try to juggle my workload which is not getting any better.) Pity Party done !

No workouts for me - I was yawning before I left work - my back is feeling OK but not even 80% so I'll wait another couple days and see if I can find time and if so, may just run a little since it won't bother it too much.

Lori - sounds like Sears need a quality control section in their shipping dept, huh? Bummer for you. I'm with Laura in wishing I could get my workouts in these days. :( Hope you got your run in and your foot is feeling better.

Diana - so sorry about your sleep deprived nights lately. I totally understand - I'm finally sleeping well at night but still waking between 4 & 5. A little too early but at least I'm getting a good solid 5 - 6 hours which will have to do for now. Bummer about the Bootcamp class. Sometimes is hard when there aren't as many advanced exercisers around and the classes are more intermediate. I'm with you and would rather do something on my own in that case.

Have you decided about the San Diego RT? Was going to ask DH what he thought but haven't seen you post anything lately so "Whatcha thinking?" It might not be a good idea for me as DH is not working full weeks lately but I did apply for partial unemployment for him. I could get air fare for about $250 and it seems the hotel rooms are $150. Would you do a split or do you like your own room? That would be pretty doable - not too bad for a weekend.

Laura - Ya ya ya for the bonus girl ! ;) I think you deserved the entire office's bonus the way you have been working lately. Sorry you need to steer clear of DH due to his flu - hope he gets better soon. Know that you are not alone in the lack of Damage Control lately. I'm not gaining recently, but am back up the couple lbs that Insanity helped me shed. :mad:

Jen - Am right there with ya on the "overworked persons list". I'm not seeing any end soon - will not be having a very merry Xmas at this rate. May not have time for Xmas at all . . . :confused: I had been tempted way back when to get Afterburn but never did - I got NROL4W and did OK with it but got bored and didn't like checking my book for every exercise. I do better with DVD's. Hope you enjoy your rotation - way to get an HIIT banged out - that may be what I am heading for while my back gets a bit better.

Wendy - hope your day went well, repair and all. Did you make it to work? Get a workout in?

Well that's all for now - will try to get back tomorrow to check to see what I may have missed (besides my workouts :().
