Damage Control November :)

Hi Ladies,

Today was Disc 5, Back & Triceps followed by KPC. It sure was fun doing KPC, funny how it all just comes back to me after all this time. I used my 1lb gloves too! Then I decided to tack on the Ab section from LLA (Lean Legs & Abs-new release) which I haven't done yet.

Tomorrow may be a forced rest day unless I get up uber early. I'm also missing my class as we have Jerod's football banquet and he will be receiving his letter. He's super excited about that. Not sure how I will handle the banquet with my cleanse. I did prepare something to take with me. They are having catered BBQ, definitely not cleanse friendly food.

I had PT for my knee on Friday. The therapist isn't exactly sure what the issue is, but gave me some exercises to work on this week. He said there is a lot of swelling that it's hard to diagnose. The first step is to get the swelling down.

Wendy-GG is Cathe's Great Glutes from her latest release. The circuit w/o's really seem to be helping with my weight loss, especially since I can't run right now. What's the scoop with Zuzka's gym. Do you do the w/o's on your own, are they live and you do them together? Just wondering if it's worth the money. Foam rolling...I do that too. btw, DH is just having some meals here and there...and always says "this would be really good with "X", where x is not on the cleanse. It's a little annoying to be honest.

Forced rest day for me today. I was awake in the middle of the night and therefore didn't want to get up this morning. I am working tonight so I can't do anything later. Booh. :(

Diana:: TY for the GG clarification! Back and Tri's followed by KPC with weighted gloves sounds awesome! Way to work those body parts! :) Z-Gym work outs are real-time if you want to follow along. I prefer to print out the work out (there's a written run down of each work out along with the video), review the exercises and then do it on my own though.

Morning Ladies!

had an excellent weekend! Sat I did Lean legs/Abs and an extra 20/10 combo at end ..(thnx wendy) ... got my house cleaned .. then watched an AWESOME game .. OMG .. it was heartstopping - we were way ahead .. then at the end we almost were gonna lose it .. then we had a "miracle catch" to run in winning TD .. WHEW .. I dropped so many F-bombs it is not even funny! It took an emotional toll and me n DH .. LOL!!! but we WON WWOHOOOOOOOOOO!!! and WAAAAAARRRRRRR EAGLE!!!!!

Wendy - thnx for enabling once again - that is a lot of INFO tho .. geesh!!! hard to make sense of the starting points and where to go .. LOL .. but lots of info!!! I didnt get much sleep either .. we had a BAD STORM rolll thru last night .. and it was soooo hot .. hard to sleep!!!

Di - that is great that DH is trying some of the meals .. wonderful!! Congrats to Jared!! BBQ is not on any diet .. LOL .. and is a staple down here .. LOL!!! Good luck w/the knee .. i got out to get gas the other day .. and thanks to an @$$o .. I had to squeeze in the mini car slot .. and I turned to get out of my SLIT of a door .. EEEOUCH .. knee twisted a bit .. and this is my GOOD knee .. @#$%!@%!#$%#$@ .. just popping ibuprofen for it!!

Afternoon Everyone ;)


Today ended up being a rest day. I could not sleep last night......finally got up and took a vacotin (sp) This morning, I was due in Shaker Court for my pretrial. I tell you when I had the accident while laying in the ER Shaker police come in and give me a ticket, man oh man. I just looked at him almost cried but I didn’t.

Anywho, it turned out okay saved a couple hundred….still had to pay $300.00 Shaker have the highest court cost in the USA :mad: he..he….. Seriouly, if you ever in Shaker don’t freaking piss the policemen off. Any who, I’ll be back later got several reports due out.

Morning Ladies ..

ended up doing heavy weights at lunch - DOMS: tris n bis .. then after work I did warm up and the fat blaster from X10 .. and this HWR circuit:
1A Large squat Jumps — 40 on, 10 off x 4 rounds
1B Jumping Jacks — 40 on, 10 off x 4 rounds
1C Spiderman Pushup — 20 on, 10 off x 4 rounds
1D Bodyweight Squat — 40 on, 10 off x 4 rounds
1E Plank — 40 on, 10 off x 4 rounds
1F Jumping Jacks — 40 on, 10 off x 4 rounds

TG - ooooh back and tris .. i remember that one .. one of my favorite .. but will make some good DOMS!!

Here's what I did this morning, Ladies....:eek::eek::eek:

The Covet Workout : @LovingFit.com

This routine is divided into 3 parts. All 3 parts are High Intensity Interval Training. Before each part there is a set of weighted jump lunges with an overhead press. So you will complete 3 rounds of these bad boys by the end of your workout.

Part one
  • Weighted Jump Lunges with Overhead Press – 20 reps ( each jump counts as one rep ) - I changed this to 10 rear lunges with single DB contralateral shoulder press per leg. No jumping.
Interval Training Part

Set your timer
1
for 2 intervals, 7 seconds ( rest interval ) and 38 seconds ( max effort interval ) for the total of 6 rounds. There is only one exercise and you will switch sides every interval.
  • Weighted Diagonal Squat Lunge - I did split stance squats.
Part 2
  • One more set of Jump Lunges – 20 reps - I changed this to 10 rear lunges with single DB contralateral shoulder press per leg. No jumping.
Interval Training Part

Your timer
1
stays the same. There are 2 exercises and you will go through them for the total of 3 rounds each.
  • Jump Over Push-Up - I skipped a lot of the push ups and mostly just did the jump overs.
  • S&M Push -Off
Part 3
  • One more set of Jump Lunges – 20 reps - I changed this to 10 rear lunges with single DB contralateral shoulder press per leg. No jumping.
Interval Training Part

Hi Ladies,

We had a good time at Jerod's football banquet. It's bittersweet knowing this is the last one of these we will ever attend. It was a rough season for him but I'm glad he stuck he out. This weekend are touring the Colorado School of Mines, Division II school. One of my nieces is a Sr. there and plays on their soccer team. It's a very expensive school $30,000/yr. Hopefully he will get some scholarship money to help out this exhorbinant cost. Maybe he will decide he doesn't like it and pick a less expensive college!

This morning I did the BR Challenge Day 29 w/o....a little out of sequence, but it was legs. Only one more of the BR w/o's to go to finish up the October Challenge. I've really enjoyed all these w/o's and would like to keep up with this type of training. I'm not ready to bail on STS yet...but may in another week or so.

Wendy-Thanks for sharing your w/o...I may give that a try tomorrow! Love the "Surfee"!!;) I haven't been on her site for a while. She got into kettlebells and was only doing that for a while. I love my kettlebells, but I like to change it up now and then.

Laura-what a great w/o you came up with! You go girl!! Your so funny....my training partner says she can't run without her ipod either. I prefer to have it, but I can definitely run without it.

TG-hope you are feeling better. Sorry about your court date, ugh...really, they PO PO come to give you a ticket while you are in the ER, how insensitive.

DH got our garage doors ordered and they will be installed on Saturday!

This morning after a long warm up that included TGU's, Storks, Single Leg Squats and Kneeling SB Roll Outs, I did Max Capacity Trainer Week 4 Day 11 which looked like this::

16@10/50 of Diamond Push ups, Wall Squats, Side Tri Rise, Mountain Climbers.

Tmrw's plan is a little HC and some mix and match app fun. :D

Diana:: I am surprised that you are loving the ZWOW/BR/LF style of training more and more and actually considering stopping STS early this time around in favor of the others! You were always a very traditional heavy lifter! Congrats to your DS on his FB accomplishments and my fingers are crossed that he gets into whatever college w/whatever scholarship you want him to! ;) I haven't looked at LF in a while prior to y'day so I had no idea she was heavy into bells for a while. I'll have to take a look at those work outs! Thanks for the heads up! :)

Laura:: Fantastic workouts! Wow, I am getting everyone on the "Z & Friends" bandwagon around here!:D

My computer got converted to windows 7 and I have been down most of the day .. fixing things :confused: .. looking a bit better now tho!!! Ystdy was a 3.25 mile run at lunch - then after work a ZWOW - 3 rounds of (for time):
20 Weighted large squat jumps (10#)
20 Hvy Lat Rows (15#)
20 Weighted Walking Lunges (10#)
20 Plank Pulls (15#) ... LOOOVED this move was like a reverse bear crawl plank core pull worked everything

Di - congrats to Jerod - keeping fingers crossed for some scholarship $$$ to help out .. yikes that is quite a pricetag!!!! GREAT WORKOUT!!

TG - IA w/Wendy and DI - Very insensity cops .. hey .. nevermind your broken back and Lord knows what else .. heres your ticked :mad::mad: R U SERIOUS??????

I recently received the November edition of my HC 101's so I had to give it a shot. I intervalled it with my own weight work. Here's what it looked like (keep in mind it's still only PART of the HC work out!:eek:)::

HC Body Weight Only Renegade Rows on both sides (she uses a body bar)
10 KB single leg squats and 10 KB storks on right side
HC T-Push ups
10 KB single leg squats and 10 KB storks on left side
HC Pikes and Plank spiderman knee ins on both sides
3 TGU's on right side
HC Plank Kick Outs on both side and Side to Side Lunges with Body Bar on right side
3 TGU's on left side
HC Side to Side Lunges with Body Bar on left side

and then I finished up with the CTP app kettlebell swing tabata that I did the other day! :eek::D:eek::D

Hello Ladies ..

Ystdy: was flextrain premix w/my coworker ... she did good - never had done Cathe and she really liked it!!! she is SO SORE today tho .. BUT she says she wants to meet again next week .. :eek: :D... Today is a total REST day diet will be BLOWN .. it is Thanksgiving lunch here at work .. :confused: ... SOOOOO MUCH GOOOOOOD FOOD!!!!! I made a hashbrown casserole .. I have seen squash casseroles, cakes, pecan pies, pumpkin pies, mac n cheese, butter beans, you name it is has been coming thru here .. and of course .. we will have turkey and dressing!!! I WILL BE STUFFED!!! and NO WORKOUT .. b/c I have a hair apnt after work :( ..

OMG Laura, that's a lot of food!!! That's something I definitely do NOT miss about working at the bank (among many other things!:rolleyes:). They used to bombard us with food (I'm sure they still do). Everyone's birthday, every holiday, and then just for F's sake too! UGH! I used to spend my days running away from luncheons and breakfast spreads and cookies and cakes and candies and donuts and well, you get the picture. :eek:
Glad your coworker enjoyed Flex Train! The Zwow you did on Tuesday looks good. Ya gotta start posting the # of the work out so I can find it if I want to do it! :p

Yesterday, I was off work busyyyyyyy day then I thought I never post my workout. Any who, yesterday I did a 30 CC revised 1 and STS d-3 Legs. This morning, I did KPC. ;)
 
TGIF .. woot woot!

Friday to the rescue!! WOOHOOO!!! Well I didnt do too bad ystdy - I had some turkey n dressing - green beans and butter beans - and some potatoes - but small portions - and just a bit of a pretzle/congelled salad thing .. so not too bad!! but I did see some people throw back some desserts :eek: I was shocked at how much dessert people eat .. WOW .. I would die of heart attack if I ate that much sugar!!!!

Forced rest day for me - but I got my hair done and it looks AWESOME! :D

Today i may try to do ZWOW #49 - YES WENDY - that is the one you first tempted me with a long time ago .. that I kept saying I was gonna do .. 365 rep challenge .. aka: burpee hell :eek: :confused: :confused: :confused::confused: TRY being optimal word here .. i got a new device "Chrome" .. and going to attempt to hook it up and play the ZWOW workouts thru YOUTUBE direct on the tv .. again TRY and ATTEMPT being the optimal words here!!

TMRW: SIL and I are gonna meet and do something .. left the workout up to her .. :confused: .. not sure if that was a good idea .. she will prbly kill me!! :confused::confused::confused: :p

Wendy .. I am same way here .. there is always food .. and now the leftovers are in the fridge .. and on the talbes .. UGH!!! and at every meeting there are desserts - pastries - and fattening foods ... lucky I dont do sugar that well .. but they are tempting!! Hi Ladies,

Been MIA because I had an early meeting at work on Wednesday and took yesterday and today off work to paint one of the upstairs bathrooms that is long overdue.

Wed/Thurs were rest days, unless you count painting yesterday. I just finished STS Disc 7, CSB and will be putting a second coat on the bathroom today. I also bought new towel bars and tp holder, outlet covers etc. Unfortunately, I haven't come across a new light bar that I like yet.

Tomorrow Jerod and I are visiting the school he wants to attend...the most expensive one. DH is staying home so he can be here for the installation of our new garage doors.

So Saturday was a rest day. I just kinda ran out of time to workout. :(

Y'day though I did Zgym power yoga #1 and MCT wk 4 day 12 (16@10/50 of 180 degree squat jumps, in and outs, jump kicks and dive bombers). :)

This morning is going to be an attempt at doing my newest HC 101 in full I think. Wish me luck!:eek:
