Hi Ladies,
This morning was CLB, and I thoroughly enjoyed it!! I tried to do the next BR w/o, but either my DVD player is not supported, or the video format is not supported on my dvd player. DS2 showed me how I can get to my player library on youtube using the PS4. Thank goodness for kids!!! I'm heading to swimming class shortly.
I'm sick of this rain, and there is no sunshine in the forecast. Now we are to get snow on Sunday, 2"-5", then back to rain everyday next week too.
I had a Dr. apt today. The Dr. mentioned my 20# weightloss 2 years ago. I've held my weight for the last 2 years to within 1#. He said that was great. He also said that being active on a daily basis is much more important than the number on the scale. He said exercise limits the risk of numerous health conditions regardless of your weight. That made me feel good about working out everyday. Of course you don't want to carry too much excess weight because that can cause or attribute to many medical conditions too.
Beth-Did you take a rest day today? That is great news about your kids. All my research has indicated that refueling with protein as soon as possible after lifting will help build muscle and aid in recovery. Great job to you and your DH for living a healthy lifestyle and setting a great example. I wish my kids would follow in my footsteps. I don't see that happening. DS1 has a very physical job and is muscular in nature. DS2 is small, always has been. He works out at the gym several times a week. DS3, definitely has is fathers build and genes. DH's fathers side has a history of obesity and the health problems that go along with that. We try to work with DS3, but since graduating high school and no longer playing football he has gained a significant amount of weight. I wish he would make better dietary choices. He is going to the gym, but you can't exercise away a poor diet.
bbl to see what everyone else is up to.
