Damage Control May Month :)

Good Morning:)

Last one here last night and first one here this morning:) We are up early, woke up at 7:15 and I am enjoying my coffee. Looks windy out again this morning:confused: Not sure I want to push a stroller in that again.....I know....Im being a baby! Maybe I need someone to put me in a stroller:D I would also like to do some weights. I enjoy getting up this early b/c I will have tons of stuff down the morning will just be started.
I am trying to figure out when to go to my parents house. I am leaning towards today but I'm not going to be in a rush to get there. I have most of my things packed but I want to workout and I need to get a few things before I go. If I leave it for tomorrow then I will want to work out first and so on....so it will be after lunch before I even leave here.
Nothing else to report....I will stop back in later to report my workout!

Good Morning.

This morning I did 30 minutes of Bob's Totally Ripped Core and 40 mins of Yoga for the Warrior.

Now I've got to bolt out the door...lots to do before heading to the casinos for the weekend! I'll BBL for personals if I have time. If not, have a great weekend and I'll be back on Monday! :D
 
TGIF!!!

Good Morning Ladies,

Ended up going into the office yesterday, but will be WFH today! It works out nice since I have a laser/electrolysis appt at 5:30 and I won't have to leave work early.

Class was great as usual, but I'm sore this morning. I always amazed at how sore my legs are since I haven't really been doing much in the way of leg weights. Workout for today will probably GS BSB and abs.

Lori-sounds like your run pretty much sucked yesterday. Hopefully today will be better for you. How long will you be visiting your parents?

Wendy-way to go, tackling weights at the gym! Have you considered trying any of the classes they offer? They are nice for a change of pace, and you get to meet some like-minded folks. btw, I plan on making that recipe you posted earlier this week sometime this weekend.;) Actually I'm up by 6am, I just don't like to talk to people that early in the morning. After my 2 cups of coffee and my w/o I'm a much more pleasant person. I want to get back to running a bit more regularly and perhaps do a HM later this year.

Laura-Goodness, I sure hope they gave you some medication to clear up your eyes. Dilated eyes are awful. I don't know how people can drive after that.....I certainly can't...and the headache from it...{{HUGS}}. Hope its much better today.

Hi Girls:)

After texting my niece yesterday morning I decided to hit the road as soon as I could. Her graduation day was yesterday and I wanted to see her before she left the house. Where did that 17 years go? Ugh! I did all the things I had to do before I went for my run. It was better then the last but still very windy.

We slept good last night and I went for a run already. I did 10.5 k with another side stitch so my plan is to google that some time today and see what the problem is!

Wendy** hope your enjoying your weekend!

Diana** I am just here until tomorrow sometime. We probably won't rush back after dinner.

I don't know if I will be back anymore this weekend. I wont have a lot of time tomorrow and I am hoping to go for another run in the morning before church.....fingers crossed!

Hi Ladies,

I have a busy weekend ahead of me. Of course I'm going to work out before I get started on my weekend chores. Step is sounding good this morning so it will either be Intensity or BM2 Cardio Blast.

I have $50 Kohls cash that expires today so I'm going to go spend it. I bought the cutest JLO dress, super sexy & fitted, but its too short for my comfort so I'm going to return it. I wish it was just a few inches longer. Of course I asked DH if it was too short and he replied "too short for what";). If I'm not comfortable in it then I won't wear it. I'm hoping to find a couple more jog bras. I bought Fila running bra that has a tiny bit of padding and I love it. At the time I bought the only color, hopefully they have more today.

After w/o and shopping I need to clean out the girls room, take down all the pictures, patch the nail holes, do all the taping etc. The plan is to prime today and paint tomorrow...the trim will have to be done next weekend. I'm definitely going to take before/after pics.

Lori-I saw the picture of you and your niece....she is beautiful by the way. You certainly do not look like you just had a baby, don't know how you do that. So running is the name of your game and it suits you well. Have a great time at your parents!

Wendy-did you ever get Joey's room painted? What color did you go with? Jerod's...now the girls room is blue...ugh...was fine at the time but now that the girls are using it..it's time for an update.

Laura-hope Mom's procedure went well. Do you have fun plans for the long weekend? We are just hangin' at home and painting. Well I'm painting anyway.

Good Morning,

The baby had me up at 6:30 this morning:mad: and then I went back to bed when DH woke up. There was no way I could stay up. I was just to tired. I remember DS1 use to start his day at 5:30 and we were out for a run by 8:30. I must have went to bed at 9 back then...that's the only thing I can figure!

Yesterday was a rest day, there just wasn't enough time. I helped my mommy with everything in the morning before we went to church. I probably could have squeezed a 30 mins run in but it was so windy! Then I thought about doing something when I returned home but opted not to. My running partner came to the christening and she said "its not going to kill you to take a rest day":eek: So I did!

Diana** Thanks! I feel pretty good. I still have a little bit to lose around the middle but everything else feels the same. Just have to tone up more now. You had a busy weekend!! I love getting things done...feel so accomplished!

I will bbl to report my workout. I was going to go for a run but now I am leaning towards a circuit workout....or maybe some heavy weights!

I have some nice DOMS from yesterday's workout. I did 35 mins on the TM, 20 min tabata bike, MMA punching combos, GS shoulders & Bic (heavy) and HR abs. I'm up early enough to get a run in before DS's speech appt. I am also thinking about doing legs or the other GS UB parts later today.

Good Morning Ladies. :)

Well I had a fantasticly fun weekend :D but now it's back to reality. BUMMER!:(

Saturday was a rest day but on Sunday I ran for 30 minutes on the TM at the hotel. Started off doing ITread 20 min #2 but b/c of the severely antiquated equipment there, there was no place for me to put my ipod (I misplaced my armband) so I had to hold on to it and about 10-15 minutes into the work out I inadvertently pressed a button and skipped to the next work out. :mad: Needless to say I wasn't happy but kept on going doing my own thing.. Then y'day afternoon after we got home I had some energy so I did STS D1 (CSB).

Today is a toss up between tackling the lower body machines and running at the gym or doing AB at home...decisions decisions...:p

Diana:: Nope, Joey's room has yet to be painted! :rolleyes: My goal is to get it done this week though! Fingers crossed! My gym doesn't offer classes so taking them is out of the question. LOL :p I used to take some when I was a member of the previous gym though. LMBO at your DH's response to "Is this dress too short?". Sounds exactly like something MY DH would say too! ;) You are right though-if YOU aren't comfortable then you won't wear it regardless of how much DH likes it. I have a couple items to return to Joyce Leslie this week myself..

Lori:: Holy cow! DOMS!? YOU!? Really!? :eek:;):D:p Enjoy your run and whatever weights you decide on for later. Congrats on your baby's Christening. Hope it was a nice afternoon for you and your family. LOL'ing at what your friend said about it not killing you to take a rest day. I've definitely had that type of comment made to me before as well. :rolleyes:

No workout this morning. I did somethings that needed to be done around here and I ran out of time. I don't have any plans for this afternoon anyway...so I will just workout instead.

I am trying to decide if I should sign up for a marathon where DH is going? Its not a big race and the mary is the only thing not sold out. Its on Sept 8th. I was planning on visiting him the last week in Aug anyway. I have two issues....finding the time to train...which I am sure my inlaws will help with that...and I am wondering if I really want to run 42.2 km again!:eek:

Wendy** I bet you had a awesome weekend!! Probably not as relaxing as mine but much more fun. Yes I have DOMS...I was thinking about that as I posted it. I DOOOOOO get DOMS....maybe I just don't report it?? I dunno!

Hi Ladies,

I had a very busy weekend. The girls' room is finally all painted...took 3 coats to cover the blue. I used a paint/primer combo but the dark blue was tough to get completely covered. Next weekend I'll do the baseboards and window sill and hopefully one day this week and I can get one of the boys to steam clean the carpet.

I did Intensity on Sat but only painted on Sunday/Monday. Not sure why, but I'm feeling fat today...ugh. Today will be original BM sans UB, and tonight is run swim. Only 2 more weeks 'til my tri.:eek:

Planning on starting my next rotation on June 11th, finally getting to P90X2/Insanity or Asylum hybrid. I think this is a 60 day rotation.

Lori-sorry I left you hanging this weekend, booh. You have a beautiful family. Do they offer a HM option? That way you won't need as much time for training....and I consider them tough but doable!

Wendy-glad you had a great weekend. You are so dedicated to alway w/o when vacationing or on long weekend breaks.

Laura-how was your weekend? Is your eye all healed up...I sure hope so.

TUE that is a MON - ugh

Morning Ladies -

sorry I have been MIA - seems my eye(s) were MUCH worse than i thought - doc scared the crap outta me - i have 2 different types of infections - and he is worried about me loosing sight in my GOOD eye :confused: :( - long story short - took me off contacts indefinatly - and have mega drops (steroids and antibiotics) for my eyes .. FOUR times a day - my dr knows my eyes and he never gets upset or surprised .. but he did THURS .. and scared the crap outta me - if I loose sight in my good eye - I dont drive - work - nothing .. :( anyway .. I go back this afternoon.

I did manage ONE workout during this ordeal - I DESPISE working otu in my glasses .. i have no balance - i get dizzy and it gives me a massive headache! :mad::mad::mad:

Anyway - my mother came out ok - the did cut off 3 pollyps - and sending them off .. but he thinks it is fine! then the Party was SAT night - and i had to go in glasses .. OMG ... I felt like I was in highschool all over again .. I DESPISE my glasses n the way I look and feel in them! NOt myself at all! The rest of the weekend was spent doing stuff at the house and lounging poolside :cool:

Lori- so you are human .. i read you had the DOMS .. woot woot!! :p:p:p .. jk .. ;)

Di - so only 2 -3 more weeks and your tri .. WOOHOOO .. you can do this!!

Wendy - how was the casinos? heard it was scorching hot your way .. seems you got some of our temps this past weekend .. LOL

Well....what a waste yesterday morning was! Went to DS's appt, only to find out I was there on the wrong day! Not only that...it was the only day DH dropped us off! The appt is in the hospital so it's a lengthy walk and it was pretty cold here yesterday. Then DS took a bag full of toys so while we are waiting for DH to pick us up, DS is playing with his toys in the middle of the hospital lobby:mad: Now I have to go back again tomorrow morning and this morning is the baby's needles

Anyway, I did do a 50 mins run and the standing work in LBB. I want to get a run in before needle time.

Diana**. Covering up dark paint is a pain! I love painting but hate having to do more then one coat....lol...and what's the chances of anything only needing one coat? The full marathon is the only thing not sold out. I'm on the fence but leaning towards not doing it. It also cuts into our time, unless I stay all day Sunday and fly out early Monday morning.

Laura** Geez! Take care of those eyes! That's crazy! I'm sure everything will be fine though as long as you obey dr's orders! And Im sure you look just as hot in eyeglasses!

WOW .. ystdy was a nightmare - work was more than INSANE here!!! CRAP :confused: is the dang super moon mood still affecting everyone or WHAT?? GEESH ..I need a ffn break!!! WEnt back to the eye dr - eye is somewhat better - changed meds - still NO CONTACTS :mad::mad::mad: dang it!! Now of ALL things he thinks I have a thyroid problem :confused: :eek: :confused: WTH?? i have to go get tested tmrw .. @#!%@#$%!@#$%!@#$% .. that is ALL i need! :mad:

ANYWAY .. crap!

Lori - oh noooooo you got dropped off and it was wrong day .. crap .. you have my luck!! nice run tho .. I have GOT to get back to my running and exercising .. I DESPISE working out in my glasses - and it is hard to do when you have head ache - no balance - and dizzy!!

Hello Ladies.

Late check in for me...

This morning I did the single intervals 1-10 premix of AfterBurn followed by 50 minutes of Yoga X (30 mins of yoga + 20 mins of stretching). I wanted to run today but my knees being wonky so I opted out until it starts behaving better. I think the yoga may have helped a bit...

Gotta go but I'll have time for personals tmrw!:cool:
 
Hi Girls:)

Today's workout was 3 miles on the tm, 30/30 and GS chest. Pretty good workout for an hour.

His needles went ok.....as good as that stuff gets. He had a nice nap after lunch and I did a few things around here. Hopefully he will sleep ok tonight

Laura** I'm guessing working out when your dizzy isnt much fun. I'm sure you will jump right back into it when you start feeling better. Are you still teaching at the gym?

Wendy** I don't know if I could do 50 mins of yoga! I should make time for it though.

I will bb tomorrow. We have speech in the morning and I am having coffee with a friend after lunch so hopefully i will be up early enough to workout.

6 exercises (2 for quads, 2 for hamstrings, 1 each for inner and outer thighs) @ 3 sets x 15 reps of heavy lower body machine work at the gym = no DOMS at all...:(:(:(
30 minute premix of AfterBurn that required me to never pick up a dumbell heavier then 12# = mad azz fire!!!!:eek::eek::eek:

The knee is still wonky so I am trying to decide between a ride on the EXT + abs at the gym or STS D2 at home. I'd also like to squeeze in some yoga some where....Now that I'm thinking about it I guess the EXT + abs is the best choice and then I can do yoga at home after. DH will probably be going to the gym tmrw after work so I can do STS D2 in the morning and then go to the gym for cardio with him later on...The perfect plan! :D Thanks for helping me make up my mind, ladies! LOL :p

Lori:: Nice work out. I love the way you mix things up in your work outs. Yoga can be tough to get into and you may never like it. If you don't like but just decide to do it bc you know you should then 50 minutes will probably be impossible for you. I'd go for 20 and consider yourself llucky to finish...LOL!

Laura:: HUGS to you re the eye issues! Poor thing! Healing vibes coming your way! You know I am a sunglass junkie and have always thought that wearing regular glasses might be cool if I had the right pair b/c I think the right pair ADD to your look as opposed to taking away from it. I think they can be really sexy! Crazy right? :p

Di:: Glad you got the room painted coz I still haven't budged on that job! LOL I keep forgetting about it. :rolleyes: Funny you should say that about me exercising while I'm in AC coz the last few times prior to this last trip I did NOT exercise and vowed to give it up on weekend get-aways bc it chews into the time we have to spend doing other things but now that my DH is a gym rat and he wants to work out too, how can I not? ;):D

Hi Ladies,

Not much to report since I have to be at work early to work with the east coast folks. I missed class on Tuesday due to a terrible headache, came home from work and fell asleep on the couch for 2 hours. Got up, cleaned the kitchen and went back to bed. Tonight is ride/swim....I love my bike.:)

Laura-goodness, hope the eye is responding to the meds. ITA w/Wendy....get some sexy shades and you will be fine. I have a hard time with glasses too, same issues as you.

Wendy-well if you haven't become a yoga junkie:p The rest of us need to take after you and add a bit of yoga each week....not sure I could hang with the hours you put in. Hope the knee is feeling better. I was always super sore from heavy leg training at the gym.

Lori-idk how you managed all that in an hour.... Work out for me will yah!!
