Oh dear, I'm sitting here at work looking through some of the work outs at myomy.com and making a list of the ones I want to try ...I have 4 so far... Might be nice if I did some work now, huh? :eek::p

Right now I'm contemplating on heading out for a run, just haven't quite talked myself into it yet.

Anyone celebrating St. Patty's Day?

Wendy-I almost did the myomy w/o you posted this morning. I printed it off and previewed it so maybe I can tackle it this weekend or next week when I need a shorter w/o. The recipe site never opened, it just spun. No worries, I'm sure I can find it.

OK .. so AU visit was bad - he went downhill fast - short of the long of it - he has AFIB - cystitus - and a pssble mass at heart base - We are trying to stabalize the heart - he is back at home after a stay in ICU at AU - they think IF we can stablize the heart .. we can maintain that thru meds .. they thought the mass was causing it .. but now they dont . they think it is thyroid related - I have spent last 48 crying my heart out - I will not put him thru surgery or chemo - Best hope - heart stablizes on meds .. and he can live out rest of days in peace - his time is limited .. and it has taken us by surprise he went down hill so fast! I didnt think he was gonna make it WED - but he has so far - it will be day by day .. but I would rather try to do what we can .. let him live out his life at our house .. in his yard .. and in his bed! Thing that has them puzzled .. ALL of his numbers (bloodwork) are perfect .... so if we can get heart stabalized .. he may live his reg. life .. ??? I have been physically sick .. not eating ..crying .. and no telling how much weight i dropped ..b/c my tight jeans are falling off right now! :(

Today - I am back at work .. going to try to get caught up ..

so ya'll workout for me ... I hope to try to eat enough to be able to workout tmrw .. as for today .. I am going home and check on Baby Doll and then hope to sneak Toots out for a ride .. her feelings are hurt .. she thinks Buster is getting to "ride" and we are leaving her out .. poor baby!!

Di - how did you like the bob harper total body transformation?

WEndy - will check out that workout - My FL friend sent me Jillians new series - she said her knees didnt like it... soooo I may give them a try this weekend!

Morning All.

First let me send massive hugs to Laura!! I am sooo sorry about Buster. I know what you are going through. I went through it with our dog when I still lived at home. It's never easy. :(

So my work out is done already! Yay me! :D

I did Squeeze Stronger today...ALMOST all of it...I used the mix n match menu and went back n forth circuit style doing 1 upper body part exercise and then 1 lower body part exercise. There were a few more upper then lower so at the end I separated the last 2 uppers with the 2 rounds of waist work in the dvd and then did the 2 stretching sequences back to back. If you do the work out as produced there is one half way through and one at the end but I just combined them. It took 60 minutes. The full work out is 80 minutes. I skipped abs, lower back and a lower body floor work sequence that I recall being quite painful :p. My plan is to do them tmrw coupled with cardio and possibly a Tonique Premier Segment if there is enough time.

DH is working today so it's just me and DS for the day. The plan is food shopping and the park. It's still early so we should have plenty of time! When DH gets home we will have an early dinner, go to 5pm Mass and then go to Friendly's for dessert. DS earned himself a coupon for a free sundae for an activity he participated in at this school and ofcourse he is chomping at the bit to redeem the coupon! :D DH and I will *force* ourselves to split a sundae as well. ;)

That stuff is all the GOOD news...Now for the BAD news...I was at work y'day afternoon minding my own business when at around 4pm my phone rang (I leave at 4:30). It was my boss' boss. He is new to the position. They laid off the guy I've worked under since I started so they could bring in a younger less experienced person for less $. They promoted a loan officer into the position. Well anyway he asked me to come up to see him in his office so off I go pretty much knowing that this couldn't be a GOOD thing and I was brought into the conference room and told to sit down and he'll be right back. 2 minutes later in he comes with the HR person and down comes the axe! Welcome to the unemployment line! "Your position has been eliminated due to downsizing so today will be your last day...blah blah blah..." Oh joy! Happy Friday to me! LOL :p

The up side is that instead of going home and feeling sorry for myself DH and I had plans to go out to dinner to celebrate our anniversay so that's what we did! I will look at this as a new beginning b/c honestly I wasn't happy there anyway and have wanted to try to break free of what I do for a living since before I even got the job! Now I have my chance! :)

Guess that's all for now...gotta shower up and get moving!

Buster is hanging in..actually heart rate is doing good but he refuses to eat..he wont make it thru unless he starts eating...

Have other heart breaking news..my friend w/"c"... is NOT doing good..has taken. Fast turn for the worst all of our hearts are breaking...it is just horrible..and nothing can b done about it...

I ate ystdy..n had my shake this mrng..so i am goig to try to exercise today..dont need cardio..will prbly do sts tb...my weiht is down 6 pounds..stress kills me...

Wendy despite everything i hope you had a wonderful anniversary..saw the oic of the flowers on fb..he did good!!!!!!

Wow, lots of sad new here today.

Laura-I'm so sorry to hear about Buster. What terrible news about your friend with cancer. She has been hanging in there for so long. Hugs to you and your family. BH's TBT was a goodie for sure. You weren't kidding, those 5# db's get really heavy fast!

Wendy-How awful, losing your job without any notice...and you just take it in stride. Happy belated Anniversary!!! At least you can collect unemployment while you look for something else.

I'm going to follow the rotation for this week. This morning was STS Disc 20, legs and then I did abs from STS TB. I did another 3 mile run yesterday at lunch and have a bit of shin splints going on. I bought new trail running shoes but wore them on the pavement route I ran yesterday. My thinking was if the shoes didn't work out, I could return since they wouldn't be all dirty. Lesson learned.

More de-cluttering planned for today...neverending.
 
Hi Ladies,

Hope everyone is having a much better day today.

Today I did an STS Chest/Shoulders/Triceps and followed that up with Intensity. This is the first time this year that I've completed Intensity. It's been tough getting back to this point. I did take a couple second breaks in there, but finished the workout and feel accomplished for it.

Off to make a grocery list and run the errands.

Good Afternoon.

This morning I did a mish mosh that included the following::

Squeeze Stronger (what I skipped y'day except for w/u): Deadlift warm up, pretzel clam combo, ab medley, back dancing.
High Reps: Band work for upper body, Disc work for lower body, calf raises.
Athletic Training: Warm up + cardio segment on step.
Low Impact Challenge: Blast and stretch.

All in all it took about 90 minutes to complete. Nice variety and touched on everything.:)

Gotta go for now but I'll be back!:cool:
 
Good Morning.

Today is supposed to be my rest day but in light of recent events I believe I will be skipping it today. :p Thinking of some cardio and a full yoga work out. It might be time to bust out the other yoga dvds I have that have been collecting dust! :rolleyes:

Got up at 6 and put a load of laundry in the wash. It's already done. Have to go put it in the dryer and fold the clothes that are in there now. My goal is to catch up on all house work and then not get lazy and be able to maintain it while I am home. Wish me luck!

Diana:: You are making me want to do Intensity. It's been a while since I've done that one too. I was also thinking of Cardio Kicks b/c that work out is fun and kicks my booty! Sorry about the shin splints. Hope they are better this morning.

Laura:: OMG so sorry about your sick friend. Hasn't this happened before where things went bad but then it turned around for her? Don't give up on her! She seems like a very strong person-a fighter-keep the hope alive for as long as she is! (((hugs))) How's Buster? :(

Hi Ladies,

No morning workout for me. I may hit the gym at lunch for legs and have class tonight. The triathlon I signed up for is a lottery, so I won't know if I got in for a few more weeks. I've been told the people in the tri-training classes usually get in for sure. Crossing my fingers anyway.

Our temps are back in the 50's this week, and windy. That's going to put a damper on my running.

Since I've been procrastinating so much with going through stuff and getting rid of all the clutter, I made myself a list and it is much easier to manage. I cleaned out one cabinet last night. I had to make it smaller items, such as clean out a particular cabinet instead of all the kitchen cabinets.

Wendy-You may want to make a list of all the stuff you want to get done while you are not working. Perhaps plan on getting one to-do item done each day. Otherwise the day just gets away from you.

Hey ..

Buster is hanging in - his HR is down :) so heart meds are working- but he has NO appetite .. he has got to start eating - DH brought home hamburgers ystdy .. and he GOBBLED them down ..??? I DONT GET IT .. it is not optimal food . but it is protien - carbs- and calories .. somethng... he goes back to AU THURS - the cardiologist is in - which is great he will get to meet w/her! and she can review his case!!!

I got to see my friend ystdy - she was in decent spirits - but cried when we left :( just breaks my heart - this entire town loves her - and it is just so sad!!

Wendy - yes she has had numerous set backs and somehow defied all the odds - but this time - I dont think she is going to - :( - she may be out of miracles this time! :( Cardio and full yoga sounds awesome .. wish I could join you - i have been so stressed and sad .. I cant muster up the energy ... ystdy - after my visit I came home .. and indulged in some CABS and laid by the pool ...

Di - our temps are in the mid 80's - and all the flowers are in full bloom - and so is the POLLEN!!! ack .. but it is gorgeous out!!

So far I am managing to keep myself busy. Laundry is in full swing, I made an apptmnt for a long over due physical for myself and one to get our taxes done. Calling for an ob/gyn and a dds appt are next on the list. I tried to file my unemployment claim but ofcourse I am having an issue so now I am waiting for a call back. I also need to get my son un-registered for aftercare while I am home but can't remember the log info for the website so I'm waiting for them to call me back too. *sigh* Guess I'm chained to the house today until it's time to pick DS up at 2:50! :( Maybe I will take him to the park after school if the weather is still nice!:)

I started my work out at about 9:30am. Later then I had planned but no big deal. It's done now. I did the first 40 minutes of Cardio Kicks plus the first 30 minutes of Long and Lean Yoga (Baron Baptiste). The yoga kicked my azz! OMG I am not used to it anymore! :eek:

Diana:: I agree on the list. I had mentioned that to DH as well over the weekend. I really need to start working on it...Fingers crossed that you get into the triathalon considering you are bothering to take the class! That would be a bummer if you took the class and couldn't participate in the race BUT it IS still good exercise no matter what! ;) Yeup-decluttering sure is a never ending job and a job that I don't like either! :p

Laura:: Well glad Buster is eating SOMETHING. That's what's important right now so he can keep up his strength. Sorry to hear that you think your friend will not make a come back this time. ((((hugs))) Cabs by the pool sounds fabulous!:cool:

Good Morning Ladies,

This morning will STS Back & Biceps, can't remember which disc off the top of my head though, it's in Meso 2.

My run was great yesterday. I ran my route in reverse to avoid that tough hill at the end, my time improved by almost a minute/mile over my runs 2 weeks ago. Although still fairly slow, my endurance and time is improving.:D

We used the viprs in class last night, tough is all I can say! I find out today whether or not my name is drawn in the lottery for the triathlon.

Wendy-sounds like you are keeping yourself busy, good job!!

well .. ruff night - no sleep - Buster now refusing even hamburgers and not drinking water like he should - urine worse - geesh - i was hoping he was turning around .. but IDK now! and DH is USELESS .. ggrrrrrrr .. i have to do everything .. he is off and he is wanting me to call vet .. etc .. @#!#$%!#$%!#$%@#@#$%#$% ... my friend didnt have a good night .. OMG .. I am on verge of tears again .. I CANT GO THERE .. b/c I wont stop once i start and I cant work like that ... :mad::mad::mad::mad::(:(:(:(

NO exercise to report - only getting up and down w/my baby ALL FFFFFFN NIGHT

Tonight is GGT for 3 friends b-days and one retirement ... but man IDK I have to give heart meds at 6 .. hoping my aunt can do it .. ???

Good Afternoon.

Wow-it's already close to 1pm! I gotta say that my days are flyin' by as compared to the dragging on they would do at work! :)

I got an earlier start on my work out this morning-8:30 instead of 9:30 so I was happy. I did SS Firm It Up and STS Extended Stretch. Firm It Up was always my least favorite of the series. So much so that I usually didn't even do it! Well something made me try it this morning and IDK what I was thinking! :confused::rolleyes: I got a great work out! :D They say you get out of it what you put into it so maybe I wasn't giving it my all in the past?? Oh well, I am happy regardless! :)

I really wanted to do an SS full body w/o but my shoulder was bugging me pretty badly this morning so I didn't want to make it worse. It's feeling better as the day goes on! I plan on resting or doing stretching/yoga only tmrw so I will probably tackle a full body SS on Thursday or Friday and do cardio on the other day. ;)

So I called to straighten out my unemployment issue at about 10:20 and was told I would get a call back in OVER 3 hours from then! That's after 1:20PM! :eek::eek::eek: I hope I am home! I have to leave to pick DS up at 2:40PM. They better call before 2:30!!! What a pain in the a$$!!!...:confused:

Di:: Glad you had a good run and ofcourse a good STS work out! Fingers crossed that you get picked in that Tri lottery! Yep, I am doing my darndest to keep busy! I won't sit down for more then a few minutes at a time coz that's how I get into trouble when I am home!:rolleyes:

Laura:: So sad for you. :( Why do bad things happen in bunches? It's not fair! :mad: I am keeping you in my thoughts! Sorry your DH isn't helping. I swear it's a man thing! Especially when it comes to something like making phone calls, etc! UGH! :rolleyes: Try to go out tonight and use it as an opportunity to forget your troubles if only for a couple of hours. Everyone needs a break! Take it while it's being offered!

Hi Ladies,

I got up a little later this morning and have a conference call at 8am. My intention was to do Imax 3 this morning but I don't have time now. Thinking either rest day, HIIT, or BR cardio. The weather should be good again today so if nothing happens this morning, I can still run at lunch. Still working on my endurance.:D

Not sure if I got in to the triathlon or not. They did charge my card (twice) and I received an electronic receipt. I'm going to have to call and find out and fix the charges on my card.

Wendy-Slim series....well glad you enjoyed Firm it Up! What do you have planned for today?

Laura-{{HUGS}} Hope you went out last night, you need to give yourself some away from the situation you are going through.

Lori-no need to ask how you are keeping yourself busy.:D Hope you are able to get your workout in.

Good Morning.

Today was going to be a rest/yoga/stretch day but I couldn't resist the call of a good sweat so I did HST cardio and upper body premix. I was done with it before 8:30am! Impressed with myself! ;)

I didn't add on an extra stretch because I wanted to be on the horn with the unemployment office the minute it opened to get my issues straightened out so I could file. Even STS Ext. Stretch would have run over the time I had so I opted out of it for today and actually feel a bit guilty for skipping! :eek: Who'd a thunk it!? :p Finally got my claim filed though so I feel better now. Phew!

My shoulder was hurting during certain exercises. I think I need to rest it for a few days or so. I will take out shoulder work and maybe avoid push ups too until it feels better.

In addition to my shoulder, I think working out maybe have been the wrong choice. :( I am used to one rest day per week and haven't taken one. I could feel it during this work out. The cardio had me more winded then I think it should have. Lesson learned. :eek: Tmrw is a rest/stretch/yoga day no matter what!!!!!:rolleyes:

Diana:: If they had the nerve to charge you twice then you better darn well be racing! :p Have you checked out www.myomy.com yet? I've made a list of work outs I want to tackle. I was thoroughly impressed with the one that I did last week! I had to laugh when I read your post. I could just hear the inflection of the words when you wrote "slim series..." coz I know how much you adore it! LOL :p

Buster is hanging in - more damned BS - the AU DR wouldnt call me back - long story - but I am NOT HAPPY AT ALL - seems they aer 'guessing' on changing meds .. and that dont set well with me .. and we go tmrw - and have feeling DH is going to be UGLY! I have call into MY vet .. at least he makes what I consider educated decisions and not guesses! :mad: :(:(:(

That being said my friend is in such pain - seems she is loosing hope and will - I swear my heart is breaking on all fronts!

I did manage to go out w/the girls for a little while - and we all made a toast to our friend and videoed it for her .. it did help me to get mind away if not just for a brief moment!

I hope to try to get a run in today - it will have to be quick - but I am gonna try .. my body is screaming to exercise but I just dont have the time nor the energy - I did eat a bit last night - so that helped!

Di - damn i hope you got in for the race is they charged you twice!!! surely!!!

Wendy - glad you got the unemployement claim done .. ya .. sounds like your body needs a break .. you have been cranking out some long workouts here lately!!

Laura:: Super huge hugs to you! Hate it when sick people and animals are suffering! :( Prayers going out for you, your friend and your pup! You are right, docs should not be "guessing". Especially the ones you are referred to by your normal doc (vet in this case) b/c they are supposed to know more about the situation! :confused: Do what you think is right. I hope the video you ladies made makes your sick friend smile and feel better atleast for a few minutes...Don't know what else to say...I feel so bad for you...:(:(:(
