Damage Control July Month :)

Good Morning:)

I was so mad at DD last night and I still am. I had the baby in bed by 8:45 and DS was also in bed,eating his snack and watching his movie. I asked her to watch them (wasn't much watching to it) so I could go for a run and she wouldn't do it b/c she was getting In the hot tub with the girls! All I do all day long is take care of kids and I just wanted to get out of the house. Not only that, I bend over backwards for her. I've been packing kids up all week to drop her off and pick her up, loan her money, buy her food ....and she can't spare 40 mins of her time? Not to mention that the hot tub is here and the girls she was getting in with was no where to be seen. I just don't understand how someone can be so selfish. I have good days and bad days and yesterday tetered towards a bad day. None of the kids are bad but when you add all of their demands together ....along with asking for things a million times that I said no to...and a baby that wouldnt nap...makes for a frustrating day.

So after all that I ended to the basement and got on the TM for 30 mins and I also did most of cardio core circuit. I haven't done that one in a long time. That would be a good workout to turn into a circuit with weights. I also did GS chest and tris earlier yesterday.

Wendy** I was thinking about taking the kids to the water park again today....pretty sure our water parks are much different...but it's raining out. I dont know what we will do all day if it continues but I think it's suppose to clear up. Did you try the workout you were eyeing?

Diana** DD as been pretty good with getting her chores done and her simple chores are her own bedroom. Things that a 16 yr old should be capable of doing. I dont know if she's cleaned her bathroom yet though so she will be doing that tonight. She has to work all day so I won't be able to give her the silent treatment :p. Speaking of...are you and DH ok now?

Laura** hope all is well!

I have no plans for the weekend. I may be going to a friends house for supper tonight but other then that my weekend will be pretty laid back. I have to say the weeks go by pretty quickly......just not quick enough. Not sure what my workout is going to be yet...

Good Morning Ladies!:)

To answer Lori's question, I did indeed do the LovingFit lower body work out y'day and I've got the sooooore tushy to prove it! It's a padded toilet seat kinda day for sure!:eek: Two thumbs up on that one! ;)

Today's plan is going to be some combination of 2 or 3 of the following options:: gym cardio/abs, the 30/20 HiiT segment from TTM, an upper body focused work out from Loving Fit and ofcourse...YOGA. :)

Diana:: I checked out the pic of the house on your FB page. Looks beautiful! Enjoy! So how did your swim go last night? I hear you on having programs/work outs for months and never getting around to doing them! :rolleyes: This is exactly why I am seriously considering NOT ordering XTRAIN. I have too much already that I really don't use!:eek:

Lori:: So what are water parks by you like?? Sorry your DD ticked you off. I would have told her no friends, no hot tub just for the attitude and then stayed home and ran on the TM anyway! Take that!!! :p

Hi Ladies,

Ugh...the swim/run was cancelled last night due to high bacteria levels in the reservoir from the rain. Of course we didn't find out until we got there, sounds like they only found out a few minutes before then too. I would've been rushing, but probably could've made it to bootcamp but decided not to go since it was 94 outside. I was a little disappointed I didn't get try out the wetsuit. I will be using it for the swim clinic on Saturday.

Today will be a Cathe workout, thinking DWP & the lower body w/o Wendy posted yesterday and abs too! Tomorrow is my swim clinic and Sunday we are doing a 45 min ride and a 3 mile run.

Wendy-Planning on using a 40-50# barbell for the loving fit w/o. The backside is needing some work.:eek: I'll probably preorder XTRAIN since Cathe is my go to gal for w/o's. I do need to sell some others that I don't use though.

Lori-sounds like yesterday was tough, hugs. I'm with Wendy, sorry no hot tub til I get back from my run, mama needs her mental break too. You have to pick your battles and after a stressful day I totally understand not wanting to get into it. My girls arrive on July 28th and leave on September 1st. Things are a little better with DH....only because he wanted something....;)

Laura-how are you doing today? Hopefully today is a brighter day for you!:)

I'm back...:)

So I decided on ITread #9 20 mins and upper/lower abs at the gym and then home for a 25 minute stretchy and relaxing yoga called Calm Down Dog by XFlowsion. I am eating lunch now and then it's shower and errand running time.

Diana:: I started that LF work out with a 30# DB for round one. For round 2 I went down to a 25# one and by round three...yep, you guessed it! A 20 pounder! :p I was fried!!!! It's okay though coz it obviously got the job done! :eek:

Good Morning:)

It's def a two cup...three cup...four cup of coffee kind of morning. I was feeling icky last night when I went to sleep and I think it's because I was so tired! I never liked weekends cause I was here alone but I have a feeling that I will learn to enjoy them because I only have my two kids instead of four.

I think my fil is taking DS later and I'm hoping it won't be to late so I can go for a run outside. The wind feels a little chilly so hopefully it will be ok. I don't really have any other plans for today. DH wanted a care package sent so I need to get some containers and make some cookies for that. It won't be cheap to send cause its food and will have to be sent express postage. I wasnt going to send anything becaue im soon going to see him but he asked for it and I felt bad.

Yesterday's workout was 20 mins on the tm, GS standing work and Kari Anderson's abs. I thought about trying one of my new workouts but I can't find them:eek:. I thought they were in the box in my room cause my plan was to preview them but they aren't there and I haven't had a chance to look anywhere else. I was also thinking about trying slide and guide this weekend too cause I haven't tried that one either.

DH received his first pay check this week:confused:. We knew what he was going to be making but we werent sure if it was going to be taxed or not. Anyway...be will be making half of what he made before :confused:...lol..-
All I can do is laugh at that and remember that it's just short term. So I'm really gonna have to watch my money. I've been good anyway but I may have to think twice before I go through a drive thru or buy that $5 box of cereal for the kids.

Wendy** I admire your ability to just try new workouts not knowing what your gonna get! I just pick the workouts I know are gonna give me a good workout. What site do you go to?

Diana** I'm probably more stubborn then you because when DH wanted something after not talking to me for days I would have told him to fly a kite:eek:. But one person needs to be the peacekeeper right? Hope you get to try your wet suit out today!

Laura** thinking about you!!! Hope you two are ok!

Good Morning. :)

Today we have another B'day party to bring DS to. This one is a pool party and it's 4 hours long. Oy. :confused: We've also been invited to DH's cousin's house though so that could be a good way to get DS outta there before the party is over. ;)

Not exactly sure what I will do today. I am still wanting to do the upper body Loving Fit work out I considered doing y'day (Lori, here is the link to the website since you asked what site it was: Fitness Blog, Workout Routines, Nutrition Facts, Beauty : @LovingFit ). I also need to give the HiiT from TTM a go and I would like to do some yoga but I won't have time for all of that today so I have to choose... :(

Lori:: I got a kick out of your thinking twice about grabbing food at a drive through or about buying an expensive box of cereal in order to save $$$ yet the notion to perhaps not buy anymore LuLu for a while probably never entered your mind! :p:D Variety is a big part of what keeps me motivated to work out hence my willingness to try new work outs all the time...especially the FREE ones!;)

My work out is done!

I picked a different loving fit upper body work out to do then the one I had originally planned on (to save some time) and then did the 30/20 HiiT only Premix from TTM. Here's the link to the LF work out. It was killer and took me just over 26 mins to complete but I had to modify a few times! :eek:

Hi Ladies,

This morning was the open water swim clinic, and I probably swam about 400 yards. The tri swim distance is 1/2 mile. The wetsuit fit great and I felt much more comfortable with it on. Definitely going to rent one for the tri.

My glutes are definitely feeling the lower body w/o from yesterday. I used a 50# barbell for the first round and 40#'s for the other 2 rounds. I was able to manage 2 25# db's for the lunges on all 3 rounds.

To be honest, I'm getting tired of the tri training. I'm so looking forward to getting back to Cathe or P90X2, or just doing whatever I feel like doing and not having to be so focused on tri training. The triathlon is Aug 12, only 4 more weeks and trust me...I'm counting down.

I'm going out with the girls tonight...should be a fun time!

Wendy-I'm going to check out that LF UB w/o. I may tackle that one soon. My legs are getting enough work IMO. Tomorrow is an 18 mile ride and perhaps. I wanted to do a 45 min bike and 30 min run. The other gals just want to ride. I need to train my legs to go from biking to running. I did overhear 2 of them saying they weren't going to run in the race, just walk.

Lori-you are too funny!:p I thought the same as Wendy, gonna bypass the drive though...but didn't mention Lulu..:p I'm sure it's nice just having to deal with your own kids. Will DH's salary increase after training, I'm guessing it does....otherwise you may be in for a rude awakening.

Good Morning:)

I am awake before both boys and enjoying my coffee:). Needs to be zapped in the microwave though but that means I would have to get up....and I dont want to:rolleyes:

Yesterday I went for a 13.5 k run with my running partner and that was it. I was going to go for another run today if my inlaws offered to take the boys again. If not I am torn between trying the jillian micheals butts workout or circuit using AB. I really wanted to preview some of it first to get a understanding of what amount of weight I should use.

I have no other plans for the day so I will probably workout whenever I get around to it. I suspect that DH will be calling or texting when he gets up. I was a little ticked last night b/c it's been so long since I've had a sensible conversation with him. I know he's extremely busy and the time difference is a nucence too. In order for him to see the kids he has to face time just before he goes for dinner and we don't actually get to talk b/c the baby is yelling...DS is barking orders from the other room.....last night he was trying to tell me something and I couldn't even hear him there was that much noise here. Then by the time this place is settled down DH is usually off to do some task and he can't talk. So I have a feeling that today I will probably hear from him numerous times.

Wendy** well...didn't take long for you to pick up on the lulu did it?:p maybe I should have said I can't afford expensive cereal and lulu:eek: lol! I had 4 things in my cart yesterday and I text me friend and said "helllllllp". Her effort was " I like that tank too, if you order order one for me". What kind of help was that? They haven't been making a whole lot of stuff id buy lately and lord knows I don't need anything....Did Joey have fun at the party? 4 hours is a bit long. I like it when they get at the age where you can just drop them off and pick them up when it's over. Hated the sleepover days with DD cause she wanted to have one every year. Hopefully I won't have to go through that with the boys.

Diana** I can't believe in 4 weeks the summer will be almost over:confused:. As much as I don't want to I should probably start doing some Christmas shopping! With our new low income I may have to pick things up in dribs and drabs:eek:. I think DHs salary starts in the 50's, then he gets a big pay increase 6 months after and he tops out around 100 I think. Depending on where we are, isolation pay is a possibility too so there is always ways to make extra money. I get a knot in my stomach when I think about moving but I don't think about it often. Maybe I weill be located close to a lulu:p. I felt the same way about marathon training. I just couldn't wait to run for the love of it again. I need to pick up my pace though. I was pretty quick just before I got pregnant but I'm now running a 4:57 k....I think I was closer to 4:30 before.

Laura** saw your fishing pics. Hope your having fun.

Alright...much go check out the lulu site and get my son a glass of water for his breakfast ( and it's from the tap...that bottled stuff cost to much) :p

Today was yoga only since techically it should have been a rest day! I did the Body Bliss Premix (50m) off of my Body Electric DVD. :)

Diana:: So do you get any kind of DOMS from swimming? Hope you had a fun night out with the girls! I think I need one of them soon myself! ;) Nice job on the LF lower body work out! I would have been in a wheel chair the next day if I used weights as heavy as yours! :eek::p You are strong!!!:)

Lori:: LoL, I'd definitely say that your friend was absolutely NO HELP in keeping your from buying more Lulu! :p Yeah-DS had a blast at the party when one of the boys wasn't playing too rough and upsetting/hurting him. :( I don't like the kid. Neither does DH. He's nothin' but trouble. :mad: Sleep overs?? :eek: OMG please no!!!!!!!!!!! I hope boys don't like that sort of thing! :confused: So what did you end up doing for your work out today? Good run y'day.

I am waiting for the baby to wake so I can go to my inlaws for dinner again...glad they feed me:)

Today's workout was a very fast 7 k outside..and by very fast I mean, want to throw up at times fast. I did it in just over 31 mins. Then I decided to try jillians butt workout but I was pnt enjoying it so I turned it off and did MM LB and STS FB LB. My legs were like jelly afterward. My plan was to come up with some kind of rotation but I still haven't gotten around to it.

Wendy** I hope boys aren't in to sleepovers either. And if they are maybe it won't be to the extreme of girls. Boys would probably just be happy with a couple of friends but girls need to invite everyone. I'm trying to get DS to let me cut his hair but he wants no part of it. His hair is out of control!

Hi Ladies,

No formal workout as of yet, but I did get the boys to help me move my bedroom set from my parents house to mine. The girls' room is almost ready for them. We did have to leave the top part of the hutch off but the rest of the furniture is in the room. Now I just need to get box springs & mattress and I should be ready.

The girls night out was a bust. The band was an 80's cover band and they were great. It was more of a biker bar, just not our cup of tea. We left around 11ish. On the way home my car made this loud bang and it smelled like an electrical fire...UGH. The car ran fine but DH said it sounds like it may be the transmission. Zach's car isn't working either. In a 24hr span we've gone from having an extra car to being down a vehicle. It's always something isn't it.:mad:

Lori-hate to disappoint, but my boys all enjoyed sleep-overs. Jerod has them a few times a year.... I just send them all to the basement and they play games etc. I really need to run, but the temps are too hot for me (mid 90's) and I'm just too old to deal with the heat. You sure are fast girl! I know all too well about dealing with less income. Our income has gone down over the past 5 years but we may get a bit of an increase this year. DH works for the state so we've been dealing with furlough days and paycuts...it sucks. Sorry you didn't care for the Jillian w/o, she's not my favorite instructor, I don't reach for her dvd's very often.

Wendy-I checked out the LF lower body w/o and this one looks great too! My lower body is only being worked by my tri training, and my glutes need a lot more work. My legs get a little tired from swimming, but I don't really get DOM's from it. I do have a pretty strong lower body, maybe that's why I'm good on the bike.

Laura-looks like more fishing for you...great catch!

I def know that I worked my legs yesterday but they aren't that sore. I still haven't sat down and came up with a rotation. I was hoping to enjoy the Jillian DVD and add that in but that's not gonna happen now. I don't know why I bother buying non cathe workouts, I never do them. Although I did enjoy the asylum workouts.

Yesterday flew by....my sil informed last night that her mil isn't coming to visit until sept now. At first she was suppose to be coming in July, then aug and now not till sept? I thought I would get 3 weeks off from watching her girls so I could actually go home for a week. But it is what it is! I can't change it so there is no point dwelling on it. They are good girls , I just don't like not being able to move from the premises for any longer then a weekend.

Diana** sorry you didn't have a great night Friday night. I think if I were to get out of the house I would have a good night regardless...lol. But tbh I don't have the energy or the desire to go out esp with DH away. This town is awful for rumors so it wouldnt take much for someone to spread some. So....I shall lay low.

Got my work out done early this morning b/c I have a busy day ahead of me. It's DH's B'day today so I am cooking him the dinner of his choice which is baked ziti with home made sauce. I also have to shop for his gift AND I am supposed to be taking DS to play in a spray park (think lots of sprinklers!) with a friend this afternoon. IDK how I will get it all done but I'm sure gonna try like hell! :eek:

Lori:: I remember when Joey was afraid to get his hair cut. We had so many struggles over that until one day he just decided he wasn't afraid anymore! DH has been taking him to the barber when he goes for a couple years now I guess and he gets excited to go! :D Sorry you didn't like the Jillian work out. I don't have it but have heard it's a good one...if you like Jillian. ;)

Diana:: Oh no! Sorry about the car troubles! That stinks!:( I did today's LF work out with a weight of 30# all the way through. It was a challenge but very doable and a great work out! Hope you have a chance to fit it in soon! Glad the girls' room is almost finished. You must be getting excited for their arrival!:D

Good Morning Ladies!

Is it Monday already...wow. I leave on Wednesday for vacation....yay...only 2 days to go. We have an super early 6am flight, but that means getting through security should be pretty easy.

I'm leaning towards Athletic Training this morning and To The Max tomorrow morning. Tonight is bootcamp and I'm not missing it...promise.:p

DH was going to drive my car to the shop this morning, but after looking under the hood and starting it up....he decided it should be towed. I'm okay if it's dead....been driving that car for the last 10 years. Zach's car needs work so it was nice having an extra car if need be.

Wendy-goodness girl, you do have busy day ahead of you. Happy birthday to your DH! I really like the LF w/o's, the little twists she puts on the exercises make all the difference.

Lori-Wendy turned me on to Jackie Warner...think that's her name and I really like her. I can find her dvd's at local stores which is nice. It was definitely nice to get out with the girls.

Laura-is it back to reality for you today?

When we were at the foodstore DS decided that we should get his father an icecream cake (which I love!!!) for his B'day. Turned out to be an oreo icecream cake! Even better!!!!:D

Diana:: Where are you going on vacation again? I know you will staying in that house on your FB page but I missed where it's located. Going for a week? Enjoy! :) We go on our vacation in a month. I can't wait!:D Enjoy BC class tonight!!!

Hello Ladies ..

Sorry I have been MIA .. couldnt muster the UMPH to get here .. but I did managed some great fishing days .. w/some great guys that always seems to lift my spirits and give me some laughs!!! :cool: It was RUFF the last day .. DH was GREEN/sea sick .. never threw up but was NOT feeling good .. cant say I didnt warn him tho .. MEN! but all in all it was good trip and much needed laughs .. and reminded me even tho there are evil people in the world ..there are also some really GOOD ones too!

OK - so no official workouts to report in my MIA time .. BUT .. I will say I got some helluva workouts at sea .. between pullilng up some monster fish .. and balancing .. and fighting the waves .. DOMS: BICEPS .. eeeeouch .. abs, back .. hell the entire core area .. LOL! but dont ask about the eats .. :eek::eek: ..yiikes ..they are really telling on me :eek::eek::eek:

DI - how are you and the DH????? I am taking it by now you two are ok .. but sounds like the vehicles arent!!! YIKES ... TYPICAL .. yes it never fails .. it is like when bad luck strikes it paints a target on your back and it has to stay there for a while .. one thing after another!!! :mad:

Lori - man well at least the girls are no problems .. your household is always a busy one isnt it!!

Wendy - We got DN an ice cream cake for his b-day - never had one .. and it was freaking awesome .. can imagine an oreo one would be super!!!!

OK .. so today has been a whirlwind .. sooooo busy ... thinking gonna try a run at the center this afternoon ... I will be sweating junk food and CABS out .. yikes!!! ok have a great one!!
 
Hi Girls

Just relaxing after dinner with a cup of coffee. I rarely drink coffee in the evenings but I need to get my cardio in and I may need a kick in the rear. The baby is napping now too. I'm not going to let him sleep for to long though. I already did weights this morning. I did GS chest and shoulders, and MIS chest and shoulders....I am gonna be soooo sore tomorrow. Im undecided about tomorrows workout cause DS has soccer at 11 and then I was going to take the kids swimming at 2. I would have to get my workout in early.

Wendy** you have a few things on the go today. Your agenda sounds like mine. Did you fit it all in? I've already thought about the packing I'm gonna need to do for the baby and I when I visit DH. The baby spits up so much that I sm probably gonna have to get his stuff cleaned while I am there. There is no way I can pack enough for him.

Diana** are you going to your cottage for vaca? How long will you be away for? I'm sure you are looking forward to it.

Laura** you must feel bad for those little fishies looking up at you gasping for air??? No? Lol. I can remember one time I went fishing with my aunt and my sister and when my parents werent looking my sister and aunt would throw the fish back into the water that they felt bad for. And they just talked about how pitiful the other ones looked...Glad you had a good weekend. You needed it in!

I will bb in the morning. Undecided about my cardio....do I wanna do run and a HIIT workout...or spinning.....

Good Morning

I was awake at 6 and I should have just stayed up. I felt more energetic then then I do now. I'm sure I will come around...I don't really have a choice!

It's raining here today which means the kids will drive me nuts. The girls are content to play with play doh or watch tv but DS needs to be on the move all the time. My plan is to take them to the pool at 2..I hope it's open. I know that they close the pool for cleaning at some point during the summer months. DS is suppose to have soccer at 11 but it's pouring. They don't cancel soccer unless it's thunder and lightening but Im not taking him in this. Oh and last night he fell out of his bed. He woke up yesterday morning with a swollen eye, it got bitten by something at some point during the evening. And now he fell out of bed. Poor guy might be black and blue this morning with a swollen eye! Doesnt make me look very good..lol.

Last night I did 15 mins on the tm, 30/30 and 20 mins tabata spin DVD. That tabata is always tough. I'm not sure what I will do today. I might try to get all of my workout in in the a.m or leaving something for the evening again. It's good cause i don't eat so much for dinner or after dinner if I plan on working out.

I will bbl to report my workout. Maybe I will take the kids to mcds play land before or after swimming...we will see now this day pans out.
