Damage Control December!!!

Hi Ladies,

No workout for yesterday...running out of time with all the necessary Holiday Prep. This morning will be BR day 18 I think.

I was in Six Sigma Yellow Belt training for the past couple days. It was a very good glass. It's all about process improvement, finding the most efficient way to do things, working in a team to solve a problem.

Wendy-thanks for the goblet link! I hope your shoulder heals quickly. Mine still bothers me sometimes and I avoid exercises that cause me pain. Regarding the bands, I don't mind the bands if they are used with intervals, but straight band work for an hour is boring. I prefer the cardio/weight intervals, stairs etc.

This morning I did two 4 minute TT workouts....

First was for lower body:
20 sec bw squats then 10 squat hold x 2 rounds
1 min of forward/backward lunges on right
Repeat squat sequence...
Repeat lunge sequence on left

Second was an ab/core workout:
1 min of x-body slow mountain climbers
1 min of body saws (very limited ROM for me on this one)
1 min of hand walk outs
1 min of burpees (no push up)

I was supposed to do the third work out from the rotation I started but I didn't have enough time. :rolleyes: Hopefully tmrw morning though! Fingers crossed!

Saturday will likely be a rest day as I am working at the studio in the morning and then heading over to my mom's to meet my sister and her family for an early Christmas celebration. That being said, I'll be out of the house all day and quite unlikely to want to work out that evening when I finally get home.

Tomorrow we only work until about noon. The company Christmas party is being held tmrw and it starts at 1:00pm. Should be fun.

Di:: I completely understand your point about the use of bands in your BC class. So did you get BR 18 done? How was it?

sorry been MIA .. the weekend was HORRIBLE ..(party was good but rest sucked @$$) just had backlash of horrible news .. then had my tooth extracted MON .. OK .. waaaaaaay worse than I thought it was gonna be .. I have been home on couch w/pain pills .. face looks like was in a bad fight .. and I LOST!!! today was first day back to work .. and work was piled up!!! swelling gone down a lot .. but I am still not up to par .. I only have eaten 1 can of progresso soup since MON ... :confused: :(... NOT FUN .. I am finally hungry .. but cant eat!!! needless to say no workouts done nor do I foresee any in the near future ...

Wendy - awesome workouts .. glad you are back to your old energizer self . maybe I will get there!!!

Di -the tree is the only decoration i have up and with minimal ornaments and none on bottom of tree.. so far he has stuck his head all way in the tree several times .. CAREFULLY ... he was doing good till this morning I had taken his toy away .. guess he was ticked .. he got the shiniest gift under the tree and ripped it to shreds :confused:

Hi Ladies,

This morning I did BR day 18 as planned. It's only 45 minutes but I was sweating buckets and had to pause the w/o...and I hate when I have to do that. Still going strong with STS, tomorrow will be legs!

Although I missed my weigh in this week, I'm up a tiny tad but basically still in a holding pattern. I plan on hitting it hard after the first of the year. I want to get to goal!:) I got my insanity discs back so the girls and I can do those while they are here.

Tomorrow is a huge pot luck-it's called the Holiday Pig Out! Employees bring tons of food and we eat all day long. I'm going to eat my normal breakfast and try to do the best I can for lunch.

I still have so much to do and all I want to do is go lay in my nice warm bed and watch tv. I will complete my Christmas cards and tree decorations, then go relax.

Wendy-Enjoy your rest day, and Christmas with your family!!!

Laura-sorry you received horrible news. {{HUGS}} Take advantage of your pain pills and rest. Hope you feel better soon. Stick to soup, jello, pudding, ice cream....all low fat of course.:p Perhaps some protein shakes with a banana or frozen fruit. Did you also get your implant, or is that a separate procedure? Hope you have a great Christmas!!!

TG-sorry to hear you've been sick. Hope you feel better too.

Hi Ladies,

Hope you all had a fabulous Christmas! We had a great time with the girls, and still are!:)

My weight is up a total of 4lbs from my lowest WW weight. I'm hoping to get to a weigh in today, but it won't be at my normal location. I also haven't been tracking which is key for me. I'm back to tracking today.

I've missed a couple more workouts than I anticipated. I'm back on track with that today too. DH will be off next week with the girls so that will help. Today will be STS back & biceps (can't remember which number I'm on), and cardio of choice-perhaps and Insanity w/o!

We are taking down the tree today so the girls will have more room to play.

Wendy-I hope you are feeling better and were able to enjoy Christmas.

No work outs here since Friday and there may be nothing until at least Sunday at this point...:(

I enjoyed Christmas but not without backlash from being sick. Exhaustion and feeling less then stellar through the holiday to name a few...:rolleyes:

Working Saturday morning at the studio and then heading down to AC for the night to hang with some friends. No rest for the weary...:confused:...but I keep pushing along....

Hi Girls.

I am still on the mend. Every day is a little bit better....it's slow but getting there...It's been a week since my last work out. UGH. I miss it. :( At this point I am setting my sites on Monday for my "come back" work out. Keep your fingers crossed!

Hey ..

Hope you all had wonderful Christmas .. mine sucked .. and I am not in festive mood .. in fact the opposite ...and our entire Christmas was ruined by greedy selfish #@$@#$!@% .. anyway ..no workouts to report ... at all .. NADA .. have not had it in me . . I am at the point I have lost all faith in the human race .... sorry to be a downer .. just a fact that keeps being slammed in my face!!

I did get P90x3 - and hope to try my first wokrout tmrw .. my mouth is better .. just now not getting haertbeat in it tho ... so maybe I can try a workout and that will help my mood some ..

Ok .. less than 2 hours to go to get out of here .. I need some CAB therapy!!! have a good one!
 
Hello Ladies.

Waiting for DH to get back from running errands so we can head out. We are doing a quick hit one nighter in AC tonight with some friends...it will be three couples including us for drinks dinner dancing gambling, etc. Should be fun.

This morning I worked from 8 to 11 at the studio-2 PT's and a group session in the bag. Making up for some up of the missed time due to Christmas. :)

No work out to report. Maybe tmrw but definitely Monday!

Hello Ladies.

Back in the game after more then a week off and I felt it! :eek:

10 reps of each exercise x 3 rounds. Resting only after each round for 1 minute....

Front Squat - Barbell
Bent Over Row - Barbell
Dead Lift - Barbell
Stability Ball Kneeling Forward Roll (subbed in SB for BB)

This was the first of the work outs in the Challenge Complexes online Program I purchased a few weeks back.

Shoulder isn't 100% yet but much better then it was. I was able to perform all of these exercises with no trouble. Push ups still aren't doable though....

Hi Ladies,

Yesterday ended up being an unplanned rest day....really I just stayed up way to late, got up late, and had no energy. Last night I went to bed at 10 and will be doing the BR day 24 I think.

BR is having another real time 30 day challenge starting in the middle of the January. I plan on doing it again. Also, I've gained a few pounds but am committed to getting to my goal weight by the end of March. I'm going to have to work the plan and be very diligent to get to goal, but I will do it!

I also have 4 more discs to complete to wrap up Meso 2.

Wendy-glad you are feeling better finally. You're w/o looks pretty good! How was AC, did you win???

Laura-hugs girl, so sorry you didn't enjoy Christmas. Hopefully the new tooth is healing and you will be to your normal chipper self!

Hey Ladies. :)

This morning's work out was the 2nd of the Challenge Barbell Complexes Program....It looks like this::

6 reps of 6 exercises x 4-6 rounds. I did 4 rounds. Up to 1 minute rest between rounds....

Bent Over Row, Deadlift, High Pull, Front Squat, Push Press, Weighted Burpee with a Push Up.

I am pretty sore from y'day's work out, btw!:)

Di:: AC was fun. Didn't win but only lost $20 so I was happy! Did drinks, dinner and dancing with friends. Only a little bit of gambling...Any plans for NYE?
