Damage Control April!!

afterburn express, single intervals 32 min and XTrain Core 1 10 min, about 450 calories! I couldn't do all the staggered push ups!

I'm trying to keep the stomach bug contained but Little K keeps coming out of his room. School is light today, I had the older boys go out side after just doing a little of work, woods and fishing in the creek. Then back for lunch and school. Now it's pouring and the lights are flickering. I'm trying to spend some time reading to to each. So far one chapter of Ginger Pye to B and after some math and grammar with the older boys something for Little K. Low key day. Nice to be home, but stinks to have sick kids! They are just starting to have some tea noes.

Hi Ladies,

I ran 4.4 miles yesterday at lunch. My swim class was super tough for me, oh my! My arms are fried from all the pulling drills (arms only, no legs) and my legs are fried from running. I hope to start running 2-3 days per week just to ready myself for the Memorial day 10K and the tri too. Mostly the 10K though. No workout this morning, perhaps this evening. Tomorrow morning is MM.

LL-I'm so sorry about the sick kiddos. Hopefully they all get better soon. You are getting in some great w/o's. AB is a goodie for sure!

bbl to see what everyone else is up to.

Yesterday was KM and the floor legs from GS. Today was all of BM2. I still haven't decided which max I'll do tomorrow. Friday will be MM.

Diana, your training schedule make me tired just thinking about it!

LL, I hope your boys are feeling better soon. You've had a tough winter! Nice job on AB, that one always wipes me out!

BBL to check in on everyone. :)

BM2 timesaver cardio 43 min. So fun! I forgot how fun this was. But I wish there wasn't double of the first segment. I wish she had created extra step. [emoji4]

CDawg started throwing up this morning and is miserable. BM2 was a joy to do, made me sweat and put a smile on my face during this sick time for my kids.

Hi all,

My bootcamp week is coming to a close tonight. I ended up doing the premix on Intensity of step and bootcamp on Wed. Hardcore at 71 minutes was too long. Yesterday I did the original bootcamp and today is 4ds bootcamp with upper body circuit premix. Sat. is DH birthday so we're going to the Fingerlakes in NY state for the day. It was snowing here yesterday-just showers, but still, it's after Easter! Happy Friday!

Beth

Yesterday was TTM Extreme. This morning was LM. If DH gets home from work early enough tonight, we'll do MM together before I go to work. It's the start of spring vacation, so I don't have to put in a full 16 hours this weekend. I have to say, this Max week has been one of my favorite combos. I'll do it again in a couple months. It seems like a good combo for the STS rest weeks.

Beth, I like your BC combos idea. I'll try that after a few weeks of heavy lifting. Have fun on DH's birthday. Sounds like a nice get-away! :)

LL, I hope everyone is finally feeling better in your house. You must be frantic with the Lysol!

Have a great weekend. :)

Fembot (Tina?) you amaze me with your workouts. I've never done an extreme anything! I tried Intensity Maximum Cardio once and couldn't finish it!! How was TTM extreme? Do you do STS often? I don't own them a lot money and commitment! More that I can do. When they get the premixed on Cathe Demand I might switch over. do you subscribe?

People are on the mend over hear. I took JTrain to volleyball practice and then Hubby took him to the Phillies game, 4 tickets from his boss. His brother and dad are going too. It will be cold!![emoji300]️[emoji300]️[emoji300]️ no throw up for over 36 hours. Hopefully it won't spread anymore.

The boys are well enough for baseball tomorrow and we will be in separate directions and we only have one car at the moment. Hubby's needs a new fuel injector? I think that's what he said. Hopefully we will get it back before the games start. I need to get JTrain 45 min away by 11:15.

Today I did RWH Legs plus abs 1. Toughie! Lunges I can't stand, squats are ok but I really like dead lifts! I could do the plank jumps today! Rhodes are hard too. I've worked out 7-8 days in a row, tho some days have been lighter than others. I'm not sure if I'll get a wo in tomorrow or if I'll want to do something light or short or both! Yoga? Any on demand or Netflix yoga to recommend?

Off to cover my garden, frost again tonight. Hopefully they didn't die last night, I didn't get out there to cover them.

LL, hope your garden made it and the sickness is done! Did you enjoy your summer last week?! It frosted up here again last night. Everyone still has their starter plants inside. On the plus side the trees are starting to bud, so the leaves are coming soon! Glad you've made time to get your workouts in with your busy schedule!

Tina, you've inspired me to do a Max rotation. I'm going to do all the Max or Maximum workouts I can find on my dvds interspersed with biking. It's like a rotation, but without anything set in stone so I can take a day off when I need (want) to.

Diana, do you have tri training today? How is it going?

Missy-what have you been up to?

Beth

Beth, I think my garden survived. But I can't say the same for my sick family! I thought we were on the mend but then Little K threw up again this morning!! Everyone else seems to be fine but I wonder if CDawg will get it a second time like B and Little K? Tomorrow, Hubby will brave church with the older boys. And get B and JTrain to there baseball games in the afternoon.

Today I was going to plan a rest day but ended up doing Max 30 pulse, thankfully no swearing. I mean really, is it necessary in a workout?? Tomorrow I think I'll do YogaMax unless someone can recommend a good one I can find on fios demand or YouTube, I'm not sure my cord will work in my new iPhone to connect to the basement TV for YouTube, unless someone knows how to connect YouTube to the Xbox? I think we get Nextflix in it, but there wasn't any yoga on there.

I've lost 2.5 pounds with MFP this week! But my husband's reunion is next Saturday, so I'm going to try the 21Dqy Fix Extreme Countdown to Competition food plan for a week, modified. It's basically carb cycling. Instead of doing 2 on 1 off for lower carbs and higher carbs, I'm going to just alternate. So MWF will be CTC and TThS will be 21day fix extreme days. Now the question is which workouts? Follow Autumn's format: plyo, upper, Pilates using a band, lower, cardio interval workout, dirty 30 (circuit?) and yoga. All 30 min, all wo's are 200-250 cal, except Pilates and yoga under 100 and upper is 173. I could do RWH: plyo HiiT, LIHI upper, ? Yogamax?, LIHI lower, low impact HiiT, Circuit, YogaRelax? Or follow a rotation, or keep going with my own: HiiT, upper, circuit, HiiT, lower, fun cardio, yoga or off, with room to change it up. I don't know, I keep changing it up to fit me. :). I do like the idea of having it planned out ahead of time and having them all be 30 -40 min, like it is with Max 30+abs. Or the scrambled RWH rotation. Has anyone done that and what were your results?

Gotta get to sleep, night all!

Saturday was a day off, yesterday was a 50+ mile ride, and this morning was S&H chest and back. Tonight will be XT CBS with DH. I had forgotten how enjoyable S&H is. Now that I have it on DVD, I can easily add a body part on to any other workout. That chest section is so intense, I can feel all the muscles firing on that slow count.

Diana, did you have another race this weekend? Have you gotten out on the bike lately?

LL, sorry to hear you're still dealing with the vomity bug. Congrats on your weight loss! :)

Beth, how was your get away? I hope the weather was nice. :)

Missy, how are you doing? Please check in with us when you can. :)

Saturday was a beautiful, sunny day in the Fingerlakes-we all had a great time. Sunday I started my Max rotation with IMAX-the original. Today was the Total Body premix from Drill Max. I'm back to work tomorrow and am already thinking about a shorter pure cardio premix. It's not been warm enough for a bit to bike, but may get to the 60's tomorrow so maybe a bike ride. We'll see. It's been rainy here off and on.

Tina, I am amazed that you can do CBS after S&H chest/back in the morning. I usually get great doms from Chest/Back! Glad your weather is nice enough to ride!

LL, how's baseball going? I fondly remember Little League! Are you still getting some workouts in? MFP seems to be paying off for you already!

Diana, are you running many miles this week? How is work going?

Beth

Hi Ladies,

Sorry I've been MIA, just busy. My cousin and I did the Graffiti Run on Saturday. It was a fun 5K!!! Sunday was a rest day and this morning was RWH HCLB. I also managed to get out and walk between the bouts of rain. I missed my tri class on Saturday to run in the 5K. It was pouring rain all day yesterday and some of today too. I've only been on my bike once, for tri-training class. Tomorrow I may try to do RWH HCUB. I know 1 day last week I did HSTA-my back side needs all those step ups!

I have to be to work early on Wednesday and Thursday. Hopefully I can do something Wednesday night. Thursday is swimming.

I'm struggling at work a bit and have managed to irritate someone with my directness. Now I have to have a meeting with this person, her boss and my boss. It's totally ridiculous IMO. There is a lot of office politics of which I stay out of, but am also out of the loop on a lot of things because of it. I'm not looking forward to the meeting....and have been stressing about for the last week. It should be scheduled for sometime this week and I can't wait to get it over with. UGH

LL-so sorry about the never ending sick kiddos running through your house. You are doing a great job with your w/o's. Glad to hear that MFP is working well for you. MIC was one of my first Cathe w/o's along with MIS and BodyMax. MIC still takes my breath away. I'm always so happy when the floor portion is over and we get to use the step!

Beth-sounds you had a wonderful day for DH's birthday! What a fun rotation-MAX!!! I haven't done lowmax in a quite a while. Are you planning on doing all the Imax's?

Tina-TTM Extreme premix is one of my favorites. You amaze me with all of your w/o's! I haven't decided on any rotation to follow, I'm just playing it by ear right now. BodyRock has some HIITMAX w/o's that I'm going to preview. I like that they are short 12-20 minutes and tough too. They are on youtube and I can watch them on my w/o TV in the basement.

Missy-what are you up to?

bbl

So quick update here: yogamax yesterday, plyo HiiT 1 with abs 2 I think that's right, no step and no weights, I still think that is the toughest wo I've ever done! More so than any Max 30 workouts! And I kept to my food plan today! And since Hubby had off we went to a local state park and went hiking and played this "gravel" hide and go seek with your eyes closed on the slides and jungle gym of the playground there. Great fun day! Today was the carb depletion day as will tomorrow and then Wednesday will be more carbs, 3 half cup portions instead of just one and a few more things I can have.

This morning I did RWH CLB and it was tough more in the sense that I felt low on energy. It must be due to the lower calories. I only had 1200-1300 yesterday and today looks like it will be the same. But after about half way thru, I felt better and was able to finish.

My BB "coach" thinks it's because the low calories and I'm not doing Shakeology.....of course. She thinks I don't know the proper measurements since I've only gotten them from he Internet.

I have re prep for the next 3 days at least some tonight. Not really looking forward to it!

Monday night I added in S&H shoulders and then XT CBS. Yesterday was S&H legs and TSLB. DH wanted me to join him for a ride last night and I just knew I wouldn't be able to keep up. My legs are SO SORE this morning. I will definitely do that leg mix again, it timed out at a little over 60 minutes. Perfect! This morning was S&H bi's and tri's. I had forgotten how much I enjoy Cathe's banter in this series. She seems so happy and relaxed. I added XT AOLIH after S&H this morning. I may regret that later.

Diana, nice job on your race. Do you add up all your race miles for the year? It must be a high number! Bah! Office politics are the worst. I swore I'd never work in one again. I hope your meeting goes smoothly.

LL, is everyone back to good health now? Nice job on staying within your calorie goal. If I go below 1500 calories a day, I turn into Cruella De Vil. :p

Hi! Still here!

I'm seeing some results. My back is better. I've lost 8 pounds.

I get winded too easily. I think I need to push through some cardio. I've been doing the Hiit Ripped....I do 20# when Cathe does 30# hahaha.

Surgery isn't scheduled yet, but it's probably July(ish?).

Guy asked me to dinner last week. Real nice guy.....blew me away.

I have a request for some input. When I did the EVG, when I came out of it, the nurses told me I need to do a sleep study as my oxygen levels were dropping as I snored.....I knew I snored. So my question is: do I pursue a sleep study, knowing that my problem might be resolved when I lose weight? Or do I just let it go for now. I do wake up fatigued all the time. But I might feel way better in a few months after the surgery. Money is a factor, it would be $45 for a doctor visit and then whatever for a machine if I had to get one.

Hi Ladies,

Not much going on w/o wise. No workout yesterday morning or this morning, due to all day meetings at work. I did get in a very short walk last night. Tomorrow will probably be circuit of some sort.

LL-sounds like you are on the right track. Calorie/carb cycling is one of the best ways to get the weight loss moving. Of course you need to adjust your w/o's for the lower calorie/carb days too. You are doing great!!!

Tina-Your legs must be super strong...and sore now too! :) I do not add up my race miles. Since I don't really train for running, my mileage would not be that high since I only seem to participate in races. I need to bike....bike ....bike... That is the longest segment of the tri's and I need to get busy on that. Well we've had a re-org and I have a new boss. My previous boss didn't schedule the meeting with all of us. The other persons manager is no longer a manager, but an individual contributor. I guess let by-gones be by-gones.

Missy-Way to go on the weight loss!!! :) It sounds like you may have sleep apnea so you aren't getting the REM sleep that you need. I don't have any advice for you, sorry. Keep up the good work!

Beth-what are you up to??

bbl

Hi all! I've gotten roped into working six days straight. It just gets really busy when I work that much. I am doing just 8 hour shifts, but you're never really done in 8 with the paperwork. I just finished the third day. I came here after work to get motivated to get a workout in! Glad to see everyone is doing well and getting great workouts in....losing weight....feeling good!

Tina, I love S&H too. I really don't have to go that heavy since we go so slow and I always get great DOMS.

Missy, you need to bite the bullet and figure out if you have sleep apnea. I just went to a training on this and having it puts you at risk for a multitude of physical problems. Wearing a bi-pap or c-pap is worth it for your health if you do have it. My husband snores and had the test but he doesn't have it. He's gotten migraines for a long time and we were trying to figure out if his sleep was involved.

Diana, roll with punches at work! I'm always just stop thankful that I have a job and can help my family/kids. As long as you enjoy what you do it's worth it. Glad the 5K went well.

Workout wise I'm still working on the Max's. Tuesday was a walk and then core max 1-I could actually do the levitation holds this time-first time ever! Then I did Stretch Max 1. Wed. we took a 75 minute bike ride. Today I am planning a total body weight-either MM or MIS.

Thanks for inspiring me to keep working out!

Beth

Quick update: I was up to midnight last night prepping veggies and proteins. Today at lunch I did sweet potatoes for my daily carb. The chicken I mad last night is awesome!!! Chicken thighs with various spices.

Wednesday I did Pilates inspired abs, yesterday at 9:45pm I did RWH CUB and today I did X10 Cardio Blast and XTrain core 1.
