Unfortunately I have been missing again as I have once again come down with some stomach bug. It's been improving since its peak Sunday night, so at least I am sleeping more and not running to the toilet as often. Unfortunately I still have pain and cramps esp if I move, so I am not moving... Well as far as possible.
I am really upset that I have such a crap immune system this school year. This is the fourth time since the summer. I eat relatively healthy, go to bed on time and exercize and still I catch every bug that goes around.
I am not sure what the best approach is. Right now I am working from home under blankets near the bathroom. I want to get back to my workouts as soon as the pain and runs are all gone, but is my body not able to handle that? Many people are saying that I am too busy and ask too much of myself, but seeing as I am not doing anything crazy, not out partying half the night or anything like that I think I should be able to handle it.
I was in the first week of my ICE/Xtrain rotation and was enjoying it. And I want to do Insanity max 30 again, but that one is sure to set me back if I am not 100% fit first so that will have to wait. I am also super keen to start streaming workouts adding even more variation, but at the rate I am getting sick nearly monthly it would not be worth it.
Seeing a doc here is not really an option. They always say give it a couple of weeks rest and take a paracetamol. They also continuously remind me a virus can stay in your system 4-6 weeks. Not much help
Sorry for the negative post... I am just really bummed. There are so many great workouts that I wish I could be doing instead of feeling crap and limiting everything I do.
