Daily Check-in Wed 4-18

Wow, this week is going fast considering I'm off next week. I figured it would go by at a snail's pace.

Today's workout will be GS BSB plus a 20 minute run. I'll use a shorter CC or the iTread 20 minute w/o I have. Will decide when it's time to workout.

I won a PowerStrike DVD last night on eBay. I'd bid on it before I'd left yesterday and found out I'd won it when I got home last night. I've heard a lot of good things about PowerStrike, so I hope I'm not disappointed.

Good Morning Jane and all who follow!

It was a short night for me......not much sleep. :-(
I'm not sure why either.
I did cardio yesterday, mowed the grass, spent a lot of time out in the sun, relaxed and read in the evening, watched a little tv and went to bed. Then two hours after I laid down I was awake!
I slept more after that but it was just sleep & wake, sleep & wake , until I gave up and got up around 4:30.

Today is GS chest/tri plus bonus cardio. :(
I've said in the past I really dont' care for this workout with the endless pushups and chest presses that go on & on......
I'm really going to have to force myself to do this today.
I KNOW it works, and I know I'll feel better after I do it......It just has a major dread factor for me!

I've heard a lot of people like powerstrike Jane. I hope it's a good one for you.

Good morning gals.

Becky, I did the same WO this AM. I actually felt really good. I did about every 3rd set of PU on my toes and stuck with 15'3 throughout all the chest bench work. Usually I need to lighten for the flies. I don't know if it's a fluke or if this rotation is helping me! Good luck. I hope you have the same amount of energy I did. It doesn't help when you don't sleep :(

Jane, I don't know anything about Powerstrike. Is it kickboxing?

Good Morning, Ladies! :7

I am just jumping in here...I haven't been doing the check-ins, so bear with me as I learn the ropes.

I did High Step Challenge this morning. And we had oatmeal with berries for breakfast. I will being having an apple, protein drink for am snack. Salad with beans for lunch. I usually blow it once I get home from work, we shall see what happens this afternoon!

I've got iBallet #7 and B&G Standing leg work this morning.

Jane: I love the combination of GS BSB and a short run...for me a perfect workout.

Heather: The premixes on BM#2 are some of Cathe's best. Good for you for taking charge of your foods...I'm still struggling in that department :(

Becky: I'm sorry you had to fight for sleep last night :( I had to force myself to do GS C/T yesterday on a full night of sleep...Good Luck!

Phyllis: Congrats on the strength gains!

Tig: Great workout today...any races coming up?

I with Denise on jumping in here. I've been off the wagon for the past week as far as working out goes so I am looking to get back on track. I think tonight I will pop in Cardio & Weights. And now that I told y'all I can't disappoint. BTW, those PowerStrikes look tempting.... ;)
 
I did it ! GS chest & triceps and Phyllis, you motivated me !
I did all the presses and flies with #15's.(flies I usually do with 12's) I even upped the weights for some of the tricep exercises (and they are my weakest part).:p Thank you Phyllis!:7

In place of the bonus cardio, I did a 30 minute incline walk on the TM.}(

I gotta get something to eat now !

That's what I've been off track with........gotta get back to healthier eating !! Anyone with me??:9

I'm feeling real good at this time and if after my workout I have extra energy I may do iTread 3/40 but do it for 20 minutes - who knows :p then again after my schedduled WO I may just want to just call it a day lol.

* Jane - I had a Powerstrike dvd once and quickly put mine on ebay about 3 years ago - I just couldn't get into it and all that focus on sweat lol I think it was the 1st one but as much as folks raved about that series it just didn't do it for me. I hope you enjoy that WO and have a better, positive expierience than I did. Granted it was a good workout but something about it didn't click with me

* Becky- I hear you on the endless push ups but 'if ya want it ya gotta earn it' - or something to that effect ;) so I'm pushing myself on this when I do it after my post here.
Hopefully you can get a good restful sleep tonight - I hate it when that happens to me ;(

* Phyllis - sounds like you had a very good WO this am - good for you - I hope to do the same ;)

* Wendy - sounds like you have a plan - good for you have fun & enjoy

That's about it for me at the moment on my way to WO now.

BTW- my little one's tummy troubles that kept her home from school yesterday is gone and she's back at school this am :7 feeling great

I just finished GS Chest & Tri's - oh my!
I went heavier than usual (also pressed & did some flies with 15# dumbbells & ouch!) and I already feel a twinge in my pecs LOL - also did the bonus cardio using my timer - whoa those stairs get me all the time. Ended my WO with segments 2 & 3 of Total Body Stretching - very nice and relaxing :)
 
Hi all,

I did PUB up only premix then did various (different from Monday) exercises off of L&G and abs from MIS! I am losing weight again so that is good, I have lost almost 2 pounds just since Monday. Could be that new job, when you are working and on your feet and not nibbling in the kitchen, you tend to lose weight,LOL!!! Works for me. We will see what happens once I go on weekends only. At least for now it is jump starting my weight loss again.

Hows everyones wednesday going? Today was suppose to be a 45 min bike ride but i felt like doing something a little more intense, so i put together my own thing this is what i did:
High step Challenge WU then just the cardio portions;
High Step Training: Cardio only; Bootcamp:Cardio only;Then Imax 3 step only. It was just what i was looking for today VERY intense}( The time went very quick though. I have to get moving have lots to do today. Hope Everyone has a great day!
