Good morning fitness folks....

Today I am going to do a 30 or 45 minute run and tri's and bi's from GS.

My shoulder is feeling okay after yesterday's chest workout.
 
Morning Jane and to all who follow. Well, I'm very upset to say that I had to take an unscheduled rest day today. Last night around midnight my DD woke up crying, so I was in her bedroom trying to help her fall back to sleep. I did something as simple as reach behind me to scratch my back and hear this "pop" in my shoulder. All of a sudden I get this burst of pain in my shoulder and can barely move my arm. The pain subsided a little and I went back to bed. I woke up this morning and it felt alright so I got dressed and started getting ready to do ME. Well, I picked up one weight to see how it made my shoulder feel and the pain came back. I grabbed some Advil and went back to bed. I just woke up and it still hurts. I'm a little concerned about what I could have possibly done. I didn't twist it weird or anything. I'm thinking this might be a sign that I need to take this rest today since I haven't had a rest day in two weeks.
If this pain does not go away today I don't know what I'm going to do. My training has been going so well. I can't imagine having to take a break from it right now.;( ;( ;(

Jane, glad to hear your shoulder's doing better and your workout didn't aggravate it. Enjoy your run and GS workout!

Katie, I'm so sorry to hear about your shoulder pain, and I hope one day of rest helps you. A similar thing happened to me a few weeks ago. I reached back to scratch my back, heard a pop, and then shoulder pain. While I couldn't work shoulders for about two days (nor arms period the first day), it quickly faded to a minor twinge and then it was gone. All from scrathing my back - go figure!

Today is a rest day, and I'm going to take it. My butt and thighs are quivery -- light doms -- and I feel the wrong move will lead to a thigh cramp. I might do a segment of stretchmax to get the kinks out of my thighs and glutes.

Sandra, enjoy your rest day. It's getting closer to your move. Are you excited?

Hi, ladies!

The week is half over. That's a good thing.

I've reconsidered doing three circuit workouts in a row, since all the ones I have revolve around BC and its high impact jumping. So today I will do Low Max instead, and I'm looking forward to it.

What is up with all this shoulder stuff? I just can't seem to get mine in line either, but I am not exactly resting it as I should either...so go figure.

Today was Lowmax and 5 minute of crunches. Lowmax was not too bad, for once. I kept waiting to die, but I never did!

Hi all,

Is it me or are there a lot of injuries going round?

Take it easy with the shoulder Katie.

Next week is my last puppy class, so I'm already signed up for "adolescent class" with my doggie Spooky.

Was up at 4:50AM.... guess my body wanted to beat the alarm going of at 5:05AM :)

Worked a bit on the computer (really takes a lot of time before you've reorganised you're computer doesn't it?).

Then did S&H Ba/S/Bi before the builders came in. I'll do my 9K run when they're gone again and add a short leg w/o plus S&H abs.

I've already done the shopping: tonight is macaroni and cheese :) with a salad (to make it look healthy :D ).

I did SB last night after dinner which was chicken and cottage cheese. WHAT A MISTAKE! I felt like falling over and throwing up!
But I got thru. By the 3rd blast I wanted to die but I perservered! It was not pretty tho!

Today is Cardio Kicks and a powerwalk and abs of course. Sticking to my rotation and then some!!

Hi Everybody!

I took a rest day from cardio yesterday because I wasn't feeling well, so I just did triceps and stretching.

Today I felt strong and did Shoulders from PH, BM & MIC, Back from MIC & BM, and PS Abs. For cardio I did POWERMAX w/u #1 & #2 c/d !

Katie, I hope your shoulder is much better tomorrow.

As much as I hate to say it Conni, my right should has has a little pain....:(

Dutchie...good workout. Getting up earlier can be a benefit!! Did you ever get your PC's networked??

Kali....how long after you ate did you do SB?...I most of the time wait about 60-90 min after I eat before exercising.

The massage was so nice yesterday. I know they are good for your body too. Today I amd doing P90X Back & Biceps, abs and a 5 mile run.

Let me know how Lowmax treated you today. I don't like using the 8 inch step, but I use it for this one and today it wasn't that "noticeable", if you know what I mean.

Conni - I won't get to exercise until about 6 tonight. But Low Max is always a good workout for me. I use a 10 inch step, and I always like how I feel afterwards - thoroughly worked out, but not worn out.
 
Carole, it's been three months since my last massage. I should book one soon ;-)

Thanks for reminding me about the network! No, things went bad when I tried to set it up.

I have a connection with the router. And the kids have these wireless USB's installed. All I need to do now, is configure the network so their computers are hooked up to the router too. And ofcourse there's the security thing....I need to protect the network or everyone in the neighbourhood can use my network. I'll probably do it when the kids are at their dad's this weekend.

Katie - I really hope your shoulder isn't seriously injured. Rest assured that even if you have to give it a longer rest, you can still do cardio, right?

Yes you should book a massage!

All I can say is a wireless USB adapter didn't work well in my older PC (Win 98SE) so I had to get a wireless PCI network card. Now both PC's are working fine thru the router. Security is fairly easy to set up thru the router and the network adapter once everything is hooked up!! Good luck...:)...Carole

I'm finished.... 30 minute run plus 10 minute w/u, c/d, GS tri's and bi's, and Total Body Stretching ball w/o#1

Where's Tammy?

ETA - Katie, I feel your pain with the shoulder injury. I haven't had anything hurt me as bad as my shoulder did about a week and a half ago!!
