Good Morning fit gals!

Today was Lomax. I added interval 4 to the end and would've done more if I had the time. I wish I felt this good everyday!

I'm thinking that it would be fun to spice things up a bit. Can anyone think of some type of challenge that we could do? I mean some type of friendly competition that would make things exciting and inspiring. Let's face it, sometimes, it's hard to get motivated.Maybe even something like everyone doing the WO at the same time and then comparing our feelings. Whaddys think?

Morning all!

Phyllis, we must have posted this at the same time, so I'll copy my post from the other thread here:)

I've been on vacation for a week and haven't been checking in. I've also been horribly sick all week. How much fun is that? Anyway, I managed to work out most days, I just missed last Wednesday and yesterday.

Today will be a run and the MM upper body premix.

Have a great day!

good morning all!

I just finished Imax 2 which is my all time favorite workout, so I am in a pretty good mood this morning.

Shelley - great to have you back!

Phyllis - I would be up for some kind of challenge, as long as it isn't too challenging! I have sort of set a personal goal for myself that I want to be able to do 37 pushups on my 37th birthday (which is in Sept) so if you want to join me on that you are welcome.
Maybe Honeybunch can be my personal trainer on this!

Have a great day everyone.

Tracy

Glad your back Shelly (and hopefully feeling MUCH better)
Tracy- taht is a great goal and Imax 2 is FUN
Phyllis- I would totally love a challenge of some sort. It would be a good kick in the pants for me

Unfortunately yesterday was a rest day for me, life got in the way. But had good news from doc so far, so it's OK. I wanted to start fitnessfreaks circuit mix rotation, but I son't want to be behind in days, so I am just going to start with Tuesday (sort of skip Mondays' WO). So it will be bootcamp for me today! Can't wait.
Morning to everyone.

Good morning everyone,

Shelley- Glad you feel better, please try not to push things too hard for awhile!

Tracey - Love Imax 2, keeps a smile on my face all day for some goofy reason!

Today was Imax 1 and ab hits. I think Imax 1 is second to Imax 2 in fun factor, just not as nuts about the others..

Have a great day!

G'morning Girls.

Yesterday was a 2 mile run and 20 min ITrain Elliptical w/o at the gym.

Today will be upper body endurance work, abs and probably a rebounder work out.

Phyllis: I am already in the 12 week challenge that's goingon but you have a great idea! It certainly DOES help the motivation part of it! That is for sure! I'd love to hear what you all come up with and maybe I can join in if it will work okay with what I'm already doing.

Shelley: I can't believe you've been sick for so long. Have you been to the doc's? By now my DH would have been hounding me to go and I'm sure I would have done so just to shut him up! LOL I am impressed that you've been able to work out pretty consistently. Being sick really takes it out of me.

Tracy: The push up challenge is a great one! I have just recently begun the transition to "big girl" push ups myself. I am doing them on an incline to start with.

Meg: Happy to hear about the good news from the doc! BC is a kick-butt work out! Have fun! I'll have to pull that one out one day soon...haven't done it in a while!

Conni: I don't have IMAX1. I keep on wavering on wether to pick up that dvd and S&H. Every day I change my mind and I can't tell you how many times I have had one or both in the shopping cart on the dvd page and then not ordered anything! LOL

Be glad to! I was actually just wishing we could start a push-ups check-in like we do with chin-ups!

"It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt." Mark Twain ;-)

Wendy,

Order that DVD! I will be quite honest with you. I can't stand MIC, but RS and Imax is worth every penny.

Hi everybody,

I did PUB Up only with abs off of MIS and the 8 min. taebo for some short added cardio with weighted gloves.

They are supposed to be installing the carpet in my younger sons bedroom today so they can both move our of my oldest son's room. So hopefully this afternoon we will be moving furniture. YIPEE!!!

I did wake up with a migraine but still managed a workout which is good considering my attitude towards workouts these days.LOL!!

And I am posting early too, got it done sooner since I had to be up just in case the installers arrived early(they are supposed to be here between 8 and 11), but of course aren't here yet. sigh.

Have a great day!!:D

Good Morning Fitties!!

Today I did P90X Legs (from the legs & back dvd) for the first time and really liked it!! I loved the variety of exercises and mostly I loved not having to get out all kinds of weights and change the weights on the bb all the time....GOOD WORKOUT!!!
I hated not being able to do back, but they did chinups and pullups and I dont' have the equipment for that yet.

Also did AbRipperX and 45 min. hillclimb ride on the stationary bike!
My legs are FRIED!!!}( :p

Am enjoying a protein smoothie (pineapple, banana & almond) and it's off to the shower!!!

Good morning,

I did my workout late last night, so didn't post yesterday. I did GS Chest & Triceps; BodyMax Step; and Total Body Stretching #2. I think I'm going to try switching my workout time to about 9:30pm and see how that goes. The 5:30am thing just isn't working out too good these days.

Phyllis - challenges are always fun. I'll be interested to see what you come up with.

Shelley - I read your other post; you were awful, awful sick! Is your eye still swollen?

Tracy - great push up goal! Will you be adding one each year?

Maeghan - BootCamp! Fun! The core work is very effective (I'm going to do the core premix tonight).

Conni - MIC is my least favourite Cathe-cardio workout, too. But when I was pregnant, I would do skip the hi/lo and do the step portion without impact, on the 6 inch step height, and actually found the choreo to be quite fun.

Wendy - the choreo in IMAX1 is really basic. It's a great workout. I love the SH series. It's very, very effective, and a terrific way to focus on your form.

Have a great day,
Sandra

Just did it! Feel great! Boot camp is a major sweatfest, and my arms are jello!
Really need to scrounge some moola and buy more videos. So hard to decide though!!!!
Sounds like everyone is kicking butt today!
Becky, do you really like that P90x? I looked it up last night and it sounds pretty good. I actually started with the Slim in 6 series and got good results. Just got boring because it is the same evreyday BLAH.

Morning,

Yesterday was SB. I decided that I was going to try and workout with morning before work. It was great. I am done for the day. I did SJP. Feeling good.

Hello to everyone on this sunny morning -

This morning was ME without the abs (PT doesn't want me doing any core right now other than his exercises, I'm chomping at the bit to do more) plus a 30 min walk.

Phyllis - I love the idea of a challenge. I've never done one, being new to Catheland, and haven't even tried any of her rotations yet, but it would be a great place to start.

Tracy - I like the pushup challenge. I used to hate doing pushups, but when I was doing them this morning I realized they're not as tough for me as they used to be. I may just do this one on my own - I'll need 40 by Sept - whoa, that suddenly sounds like a lot!

I just got a heart rate monitor - I'm going off to play with my new toy now! Have a great day!

Maeghan,

I am new to P90X. So far I've just done AbRipperX (a bunch of times) Chest, shoulders and triceps and today Legs.
I REALLY REALLY like it so far. It's very different from Cathe (who is my FAVORITE, of course), so I am enjoying the difference.

There are so many people here who have been doing it for alot longer than me....maybe you could post a question on Open Discussion and get more details.

I don't regret buying it for a second and would highly recommend to to anyone looking for a challenge and some variety in their workouts!
Now I need to buy a pullup bar though, so I can join in *TRYING* to do all those evil pullup and chinups!!!;( }(

Sandra - my eye is still swollen, but doesn't seem as painful, so maybe it's going away. I did hear from someone who had this cold that I can expect another whole week of feeling like this. Ugh.

Hey ladies,
As usual I am one of the last ones posting. My 3 year old daughter is home today. She was throwing up all morning-Ugh! I am not sure what kind of workout I am going to get in today. I am going to try to do Legs and glutes. Well, I am off to watch Calliou.

Susan

Thanks Becky, I just might try it. I love Cathe, so I want to get more of her vids, but I have read a little about how much everyone seems to get good results with P90x.
I must say I can't EVER picture myself doing a chin-up, but maybe it is a good LONGTERM goal to reach for!!

Susan, hope your girl feels better. Caillou is on here too, and it is NOT one of my favorites!!

Hope you feel better Shelly!

Hannah- I just can't do those early morning workouts. 8am is about the earliest for me. I really wish I could, but it doesn't work!

Okay, my work out is finally done.

I changed it up some..Hee hee!:p

Instead of my original plan of u/b endurace + abs + rebounder, I nixxed the cardio (rebounder) and did Power Hour in full so I got a total body endurance work out, including abs.

I nixxed the cardio today cause I wanted the break before tomorrow's long run that I have on the schedule. I did all of Power Hour so that I don't have to do leg endurance on Friday.

I don't want to over-burden myself w/too much on Friday cause I will be heading out for the weekend just after lunch so I have to be ready PLUS I am planning my first outdoor run for that morning so I'd like to not have any other work outs planned except for maybe some ab work.

Connie and Sandra: Thanks for the work out reviews. Everyone here is so great at convincing others to spend $$$!}( :p

Hello everybody... no time to read the posts... I didn't check in yesterday but did PLB.

Today I am going for a run, about to go right now.

This week at work is a nightmare of Titanic proportions. I am having to start at 3 to 3:30 four days out of five (tomorrow is the only day I'm not) due to things going on here that are wrecking havoc with my work schedule and the system going down at work for upgrades. I am getting my time in plus overtime but am having to work practically third and first shifts!! Oh well, I'll sleep when the weekend gets here.... (although I was in the bed and asleep at 7:15 last night, so I am getting some sleep).
