Daily check in Tues May 23

Hi Guys!!

Dropping in my line.... did KickMax....everytime I do that, I forget out hard it is, for me anyway.....got through it. My legs are already killing me. Tracy, how many push ups can you do so far? Your goal is 37? You go girl!! That is incredible. I've got to see tomorrow just how many I can actually do. I know its not 37. I think my weakest part is chest and shoulders. That's definetly something I have to focus on. Glad to hear your feeling better Shelley.

Everybody....Have a GREAT day....

Talk to you tomorrow

I am trying to do extra cardio almost every day in order to lean out a bit for the summer. Instead of doing one body part a day, I am either doing circuits or splitting up workouts like MM or ME into two days.

On Saturday, I did HSTA (ouchie) with all those leg presses, and I tacked on the low impact premix of KickMax that also included the leg conditioning drills. Double ouchie. On Sunday, my legs hurt so much that I just did the hour workout of Powerstrike I and abs. On Monday night, I did a mish mosh of Cathe step workouts that added up to over an hour.

Tonight I am going to run on the treadmill in the gym for about twenty minutes and then take a kickboxing class in the gym. Tomorrow, I will do run on the treadmill again and do the step class in the gym. On Thursday, I will do a ciruit class in the gym, and then the hour long kickboxing. On Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, I work out at home.

What kind of challenge did you have in mind, Phyllis? I am older (I turned 53 on May 9), and I am trying not to slow down too much.

Hi Fit Chicks!

This morning I did PS & MIS Chest and CTX Power Circuit cardio, abs and stretch.

Phyllis: I'm always up for a challenge, let me know what you come up with.

Shelley: I hope you feel better soon.

Laurie: That was an awesome mish-mosh you did yesterday. Did you get the basketball hoop up?

Lisa: Enjoy your workout.

Caitlin: How is your rotation working out for you?

Jane: Oh my! That is some horrific work schedule. Kudos to you for working out on top of that!

Wendy: You have to get the RS/MIC/IM DVD. IM#1 is fantastic, MIC is heart pounding cardio that never ends and RS is my "happy" workout. Good luck on your outdoor run later this week...I know you will do great!

Susan: I hope your daughter feels better soon.

Gym-Mom: ME is a tough workout...oh, those biceps!

Hannah: Great workouts...SJP is so versatile.

Jill: I find KickMax hard too...it holds a huge dread factor for me.

Becky: Great workout, glad to see you are enjoying P90x. I only have a few workouts, but I like them too.

Maeghan: Yup! BC is a major sweatfest!

Sandra: Great workout! Although I am a morning exerciser, I know I couldn't manage 5:30 AM.

Annette: Great workout...I hope the furniture moving went smoothly.

Conni: I agree with you about the Imaxes:7

Tracy: IM#2 is my alltime favorite too...in fact, it was the first Cathe workout I ever did!

Have a good nite everyone!

Hey Tammy and everyone else ^^^^^ there...

I'm back to update my w/o. I did go out and run but did only 1 1/2 miles, then walk/run intervals for 40 minutes. Not sure what the problem was today but it wasn't happening. It was about 75 to 78 while I was out there so it wasn't that hot.

I then came in the house where the A/C was going and did IMAX2 intervals 1-5 and abs from Cardio & Wts.

Now I'm going to shower and go to bed at 7:50!! I am tired!!

Oh Phyllis, that could be FUN! }(

Maybe we can devise a system for picking a person whose mish mosh we'll do BEFORE we post them, that way it's a surprise!}( }( }( We should probably also do the honor system where by we create the mish-moshes BEFORE we find out who will be doing it that way it can not be geared for the person specifically cause that wouldn't be any fun!:p

Silly me, came to check up on the check in and realised that I didn't get to it today. Let's see.....hmmmm what did I do this morning......oh yeah! Christie Taylor Hi/Lo Heaven, CM2 and 30 minutes yoga. I played SoccerMax with 2 of my kids for 45 minutes after supper tonight, my 11 year old Faith is her school's goalie in a tournament tomorrow.

Phyllis, I love a challenge too and mish mosh a lot. Cathe came up with the ultimate with 'do BootCamp....DO IT AGAIN!' from the August '05 rotation. When I first read it I my jaw hit the desk and I thought 'yeah RIGHT!' but we did it.....You could always pick one of A-Jock's mish moshes and torture...I mean challenge us with that.

Tammy, I didn't get the hoop up yet, the instructions clearly state that it requires '2 capable adults' and unfortunately that's a tall order around my house these days:+ (don't tell my family that I said that:+ :+ ).....I really do love them, they're awfully cute when they sleep :D

Hope everyone had a great day and enjoys a restful night:)

Take Care
Laurie:)

Hey Maeghan, I personally don't follow rotations (no reason, just never have:)) but there was quite a buzz around here when that rotation was posted and I just had to try BCx2.}( You should post your question on the open forum, I'm sure folks would be happy to tell you their results:)

I remember those stomach pains after ordering more (and more) Cathe but it was all worth every penny and then some. You deserve it Maeghan, your hubby gets a happier, healthier you, what more could he want?;-) :D

Take Care
Laurie:)

Thanks Laurie!! That's right about hubby. Technically he did tell me to order what I wanted! LOL! He is good like that, keeping me and the kids happy!
Anyway, I think I will post that in the open forum! Have a good night!

For all of you that did Imax 2, I agree that it is wonderful, and it is much easier than Imax 3. In Imax 3, I have to put the step height on 4 inches to do those jumping jacks on and off the step. The one thing about KickMax that I find really hard, Jill, is the high impact bursts in the middle and then the leg conditioning drills right after.

I have actually lost a little bit of weight by doing cardio every day, and trying to watch what I eat. This is the longest time I have ever been at about 130, and I know it sounds like a lot for my height, which is 5'2", but I am on the muscular side naturally, and I don't have that much jiggle on my body. I actually fit into a size 6, and I can squeeze into a four. If I can lose five to seven more pounds, I will be a size four, and I will be happier.

I am PMSing now. Can you imagine still getting a period every month at the age of 53? Oh I managed to run two miles on the treadmill and then I did the kickboxing class tonight. I hope I can run two miles tomorrow night before I do the step class.

I hope everybody has great workouts tomorrow. On Saturday, I am tossing up doing Boot Camp or Body Max. I have never done Body Max so I might do that, and it will take care of weights and cardio at the same time.

Phyllis,

I also hate pushups. I love cardio, and I would rather do a cardio challenge. I don't know what everybody else thinks.
