Daily Check-in Tues 3-27

Cathlete
Today is my day off and wouldn't you know it, I woke up at 4 and I usually get up at 5 on workdays! I slept well though and lights out at 9 p.m. so I probably just got what I needed.

Tammy - I remember those college-picking days!

Vilma - Welcome back. I also use this check-in to keep me motivated and you just can't beat the company, wonderful ladies on this check-in. I am also a WW LifeTimer. As a matter of fact, I'm weighing in at a meeting this morning.

Annette - hope the interview went well.

Rest day for me today and tomorrow I start the last week of the March rotation.

Hello to everyone else!

Good morning all!

Jane, I guess you didn't try to go back to sleep? When I'm off, I love the feeling when I wake up and then realize that I can drift off again! Enjoy your day.

LIC total body sculpt and MM abs. So, my abs are really worked out as there are already abs in the premix! Does anyone else have trouble with barbell curls using the band? I usually cant do more that a few reps.

Tammy, we are planning a party for DS and DD(graduating 8th grd) combined. It will be an outside thing, but I decided that I'm not preparing the food. I'll hire someplace to bring it in.

Have a good day.

Good morning Phyllis.... yes, I did lay there for a while. I woke up at 4 but didn't get out of bed until 5:10. Usually when I wake up, I'm up. It was nice to lay there though and know I didn't have to get up and at 'em.

Daily Check-in

Good morning, Jane and Phyllis! I had a good day yesterday. I did the Hare for the first time. I love the dancy ballroom aerobics. A light workout was just right for yesterday because I was so tired after not sleeping enough this weekend. All the Road Trip talk got me too excited!

I returned to chocolate and cheese with control and was not tempted to binge or overeat either one of them. Kozy Shack black forest pudding cups are so yummy with chocolate pudding and cherries. :9 They do not have any high fructose corn syrup or hydrogenated oil. I try to avoid those junk ingredients even when I enjoy treats.

I fell asleep early last night instead of updating my journal and check-ins. I was wide awake at 2:30 a.m. this morning! I have already prayed and enjoyed my quiet time. It is time for my workout. I am planning to do Cardio Burn this morning.

Tammy, you need to take a road trip to Texas to visit Academy. It is a Texas-size version of Sports Authority. Now that Academy has moved into town, the collection of shoes at Sports Authority looks so small. Academy is HUGE with endless rows of shoes. :7 I still visit Sports Authority every now and then to check out the workout clothes on the clearance racks. I get some great deals that way. I think you need to plan on meeting me in New Jersey on Thursday night or Friday morning so we can go shoe shopping together and share a chunk of cheese! :7

Annette, I am praying for your job interview process.

Blessings,
Heather B.

RE: Daily Check-in

Good Morning Fit Chicks!

I was planning on kickbox this morning, but I don't like KB!!!! So I think I'm going to do CC#3 and some stretching....aaahhhh!:7 I've got some serious leg DOMS from PLB yesterday. I don't know what I did different, but I guess I brought it!

Jane: Enjoy your rest day.

Phyllis: Those bicep curls with the band are hard for me to. Unless I find a job soon, I'll be doing lots of cooking for the graduation party in June.

Heather: I would love to go on a shoe shopping jaunt with you:7 I'll have to tuck some cabot cheddar cheese into a cooler and bring it to the RT.

RE: Daily Check-in

Good morning,

Keep us posted on the college hunt, Tammy, it is kind of exciting, isn't it?

I was supposed to do Imax 1 today, but I did my favorite imax instead - Tracey's HISM, and then I did Ab hits on the bosu. I really love this interval workout, I hope Tracey makes more of them just like this, intense yet complex and kind of dancy. Fun!!

Hello everyone and thank you Jane for the warm welcome :)

Dealing with what feels like a sinus headache - must be from all the lovely pollen we have in the area.

Today I will be doing Power Hour and I can not even remember the last time I did that one - but I will do it within a hour - need to take some excedrin first.

Well check back once I'm done ;)

Well I did try to edit my initial post but it wouldn't let me -

I just finished Power Hour about 30 minutes ago and it was good I had totally forgotten all about the form pointers Cathe shows before the next set - really nice workout for me.

I have decided not to push myself just yet, and just take things nice and slow - so far doing this months rotation has been good for me. I think I may continue it into April unless I see a rotation that calls my attention.

Just finished eating my 2 soft boiled eggs and I'm off to shower.

Once again thanks for letting me join you all here - I pray I can stick with my commitment to staying on course - my goal is to consistantly workout M-F for 3 months straight by then it should be a needed item like brushing my teeth every morning. At this point I need to make it into a habit again :)

Good Afternoon Ladies.

I went to the gym this morning and ran for 20 mins. I did half of Itrain set 3/40 mins. I went intending on doing the entire thing but I still have a bit of phlegm hanging on from this cold and it was getting caught in the back of my throat making breathing rather tricky at times....NOT a good way to run! LOL

I still have leg work to do and will probably choose a circuit to get it done so that I can squeeze in some more cardio for the day. Just not sure which one yet....Things that make ya go Hmmmmmmm!}(

The weather is beautiful here! I had Joey outside for about 45 minutes after we got back from the gym! I guess spring really is here! YEAY!:+

ETA: I was posting in my other check in when I realized that today is NOT leg day! LOL I took that break from the X and it has my brain all screwed up now! LOL I may work legs anyway (just for fun }( ) but if I can't find a circuit to my liking atleast I know the pressure is off and I can just do cardio! LOL

Hi all, Heather and Jane, the interview went extremely well, they want to hire me for the weekend position 2nd shift. I am waiting for a call for HR to make me the offer. They are having trouble finding job related references and checking my work history since I haven't worked in over 14 years and most of the places that I have worked aren't around anymore. Pray it all works out.

I did PUB up only premix along with PSSL&A abs for my workout today. I will be sore tomorrow.

Have a great day!!

Oh and welcome Shywolf I remember you from before, glad to see you again.:7

I ended up doing an iTrain ......iTread 16/20 minutes. I took advantage of a free download a while ago and forgot that I had it. It was tough. There wasn't the connection I feel with Coach Sean, but I did push myself hard because the narrator(Grace) suggests paces and inclines. All in all, it was a great workout in only 20 minutes.

Conni: This is my 3rd time around with the whole college thingy. It's great when you finally find the match! BTW...what is HISM?

Vilma: PH is a great workout.

Annette: Good luck with the job!

Tig: Those iTrains are HARD!

Becky: Are you there?

I have always wondered about those workouts. I have a nice treadmill here that I use when a rotation calls for a run, usually I end up watching something I have on tivo while I am on the 'mill - so tell me what is it about these workouts that are so good? Is it something that I would have to pay monthly to sub? Please share.

Hi guys...thanks for the welcome yesterday...

I am checking in with about 20 minutes of light aerobics done this morning...I hope to add in about 30 minutes of walking...

I have some definate soreness...yesterday was my first time with PUB...and I feel it today. I also was dragging ALL day yesterday. Don't know if it is the 65 hours I am working right now during tax season, or if I just didn't eat enough following the workout, but I was exhausted...

Today I have made sure I have ate healthy, and feel better...I hope to tackle PLB tomorrow...

Deb

I just got in from running around all day.

Vilma - my WI went well, I'm back down to goal weight and hopefully will continue to trend down, I like to stay about 5 pounds under goal.

Becky - where are you!!?? I hope everything is fine. I hope you don't have a migraine. Let me know you are okay.

Jane that is great news about your WI -

I WI on Friday mornings at home and just know that I'll be back to my goal weight soon as long as I keep up with my rotations and keep trac of my points.

(I'm doing the e-tools and weighing in at home, I figure once I get back to goal I'll just pay the missed month's fee and continue Once per month at meetings, but continue my weeklys at home ;) )

At this time e-tools has me on 18 points a day - thats down from my normal 20 points but I just need to keep at it :), I'm not really sure how that is figured but oh well, I chose the lose weight option rather than the maintaince for now.

Vilma... eTools has me at 19 but the new formula questionnaire I did in december at the meeting when the new program was unveiled had me at 18, I chose 19 though. Also I usually eat all my exercise points or at least four of them. 19 is way to low for those of us who exercise with Cathe. There is a fine line between being in weight loss mode and starvation mode. If you hit a plateau for any length of time and you still have your exercise regimen cranking in high gear, try upping your points. Eating too little is as bad as eating too much.

Keep at it, you'll get there!

Tammy - I looked at the iTrain website. I know you said you had the one, did you like it enough to buy more?

Vilma: For treadmill runs I strongly recommend cardio coach. I *HEART* Coach Sean. Check them out here: http://cardiocoach.com/

Jane: It was a different workout and I found Grace kind of annoying. The music was pretty tolerable. If I do buy any more, I will probably stay with the 20 minute or 40 minute versions. I know Tig really loves them. Try the code YL2007 for a free download and see if it still works!

Tammy - thanks for the code, it worked and I've downloaded set 16/20. I'll let you know how I like it. I know though that nobody can replace Coach Sean!:*
