Daily Check In: Thursday, June 2, 2005

Hey ladies! today i am doing a major cleaning which i am excited about for some reason....:+ i just love for everything to be clean at the same time! call me crazy!

last night i did SB and as some of you may have read, that means i did not keep my week all circuits.....o, well....so today i am not sure what i am going to do yet, but MM for sure.

Hi Laurie Mac, sorry about your softball game. 1 foul and you're out is a stinky rule! x(

I'm doing the Aug '04 rotation and it calls for 200 walking lunges, but I haven't done them yet because I'm not exactly sure HOW to do them. Could you describe them to me, please? I'm embarressed that I have to ask- I know what a lunge is but I can't figure out how in the world I could do walking lunges in my workout space if they are what I'm thinking they are. Here's what I'm picturing- stand with both legs together then lunge foward with 1 leg- that counts as 1. Right? Repeat, alternating legs, until I get to 200 or I pass out. }( :p Is this right? Do you think there's there a way to modify it for small spaces?

Connie - Thanks for the suggestions. I was thinking about one of those office mats too. I just don't know if I can find one large enough.

Sandra - My health is doing pretty well. I saw a urologist and he told me that my episode that sent me to the hospital last month was probably me passing a stone. I talked to a friend of mine who passed a kidney stone and asked her what the pain felt like. She could have been talking about me. It was exactly the same pain I had. Unfortunately I still have one in there. The doctor told me to stop taking extra calcium and to limit my intake of certain foods like green leafy vegetables and nuts (I hate to say it, but there is no way I'm eating less of this stuff). He said there is a 90% chance I will pass it on my own because it is too small right now to treat. At least now I'll know what to expect. Thanks for asking!

I'm so jealous of all you ladies and your workouts. I haven't had a full workout since Friday and I'm going through withdrawl!

Wow! There are so many new fitness queens! I am lovin' this!
Well, we are all moved in! I am so happy. I love my new house. It is an older home, and we are planning on remodeling, but that is what we wanted. It is so precious!
I had to put together my workout room first! So I would wake up and workout and then move. I had some major DOMS! I was Lovin' that!
Today I did All Step and PLB Up Premix. This evening I will go for a run. Hopefully, it is pouring here!

Hello!

Yesterday I was not able to work out in the morning as we had house guests and the guest "room" is the basement, which is also where I work out. Of course it didn't happen at night either. Oh well.

Today I did Low Max. Cathe said "notice we're using 8" step heights" so I thought what the heck. I have to say it nearly killed me. I am also dieting right now, so my energy level is low, which I've really noticed during my workouts. It was one of the longest 63 minutes (no stretch) of my life!

Tomorrow is weights!
 
Yes Connie you have described them to a "T". And that is why I have planned on doing them outside. Otherwise I don't have enough room either. I could do them upstairs, but that is too much of looking at the same thing. :D I have a large driveway and I can always advance into the road in I need too!

Hi all, after forgetting to do shoulders yesterday with my legwork, I did it today along with back, soo I did PUB shoulders and back and for cardio I did Body Max step portion only with abs.

Nice day today and a nice workout!!:D

Next time somebody remind me to do shoulders,LOL!! I am very consistent with my workouts so 'SOMEBODY' had to notice,...right?!!? LOL!!

Hey All! Everyone is working so hard, I love it!! I'm still teaching my Thursday classes so today was BodyPump and BodyFlow. Between moving and renovations I haven't been doing as much cardio lately and have been missing it. I think I'll mix some BodyMax with Low Max tomorrow, we'll see what the day brings.

Thanks for the 'hug' Carole :), yes this thread has grown a lot, I nominate you and Annette to be our daily check in "Den Mothers" the two of you have been constants since long before I began checking in.

Thanks for the welcome back Laurie, I used to love playing baseball until I took a wild pitch to the nose :+ and got a little shy. I still absolutely love playing catch at the beach!

Sandra, Hey You!!:7 We are still living in Kingston. We bought a house in the west end just north of Princess St. A 1700 sq. ft. raised bungalow. My Mom lives downstairs now and we are knee deep in renovations and building an en suite bathroom. We have a HUGE garage and a beautiful west facing sunroom and have been enjoying the sunsets very much. My Girls are great, Elizabeth turned 16 on Monday and Marley will be valedictorian for her Grade 8 class (insert proud Mama smile here!) Faith has grown a ridiculous amount this year. Last year's summer clothes look pretty comical on her. MIL isn't so good, she's in long term care now and has gone blind and is barely cognizant although her true self bubbles up once in a while, she was always very frank and funny, I told that our bathroom had a bidet and she grinned and said "it's about time you stopped walking around with a smelly a$$":p. She loves our visits and hugs and kisses but it is sad to see a life well lived fade out slowly and painfully. Thanks for asking, it's very sweet that you remembered.
I'm so excited for you Sandra, how's Paris adjusting to your expanding belly? Although some days I felt truly crappy being pregnant overall I loved it and felt it was such a state of grace.

Great workouts everyone it's fabulous to see so many people discovering Cathe and being inspired by her to improve themselves. I feel so lucky to have found her and this wonderful forum.

I cleaned my house for several hours thins morning and this afternoon, i did MM (i love this one!) and i did 30 mins of intervals on the treadmill as i watched Imax3 (mailnly for the music) and i ran durring the blasts and walked on the max incline durring the step portions. Now i am stuffing my face with Kashi and protein shake:9

Hey ladies.

Well, for whatever it's worth...I took a walk with Joey today and tuesday. We walked the same distance both days but on wednesday it took me 45 minutes and today it took me 30 minutes. I picked up the pace a bit today. I am going to try to walk as much as I can for now since that is allowed. :)

Well, I'm exhausted and have a headache and Joey seems to be sleeping right now so I'm gonna try to get in a nap before his next feeding. I probably have about an hour...I'd better hurry!
