Daily Check In: Thursday, June 16, 2005

Good Morning Ladies,

A lot of good workouts going on, great job ladies!

Shelly, I love all of the Terminators workout, sometimes, I have a Terminator week and do all three alternating with something easier like KPC.

Carole, you make me look lazy with your workouts!

This morning I was supposed to do Yoga, but I don't feel like I work out when I do Yoga, so I did Hardcore Extreme 2 instead, I did it with the step at 8 inches but the Imax 3 intervals felt really tough with the added two inches, by the time of the KM blast, I was covered with sweat. I did it, and I did High Round Assets from the Lotte Berk Method. I am trying to lift my butt, and make it round, it used to be flat, it has lifted a little.

Man, I can't believe I finally got my workout done a little bit earlier and there are still 20 people ahead of me on the check in, :+ .

I did Hardcore Kickbox Circuit this morning, my weight is still down those 2 pounds so that is nice to continue to see. :7 It is a very nice day today, wish the whole summer would be like this.

Have a great day!!:D

Good morning everyone!

This morning I did SJP step; SB Challenge; ME upper body premix (no core); and HSCircuit stability ball abs. Great workout - lots of fun.

Shelley - I'm glad you liked the Gauntlet! I think of it as Bootcamp Uber-fied :)

Jes - You lived through all those MM push ups? I haven't even attempted that yet. It looks at bit scary. So I misread your post, and you're getting married in June, not July! Doh! We're going to miss your posts while you're gone, but I look forward to hearing all the PG-rated details.

Laurie - that 82 min premix is a good one, isn't it? I can't say that I've been disappointed by any of the LG/KPC premixes. I hope I stay a fit momma! I gained so much weight with DD#1, with all it's accompanying aches and pains, that my goal is to avoid all that and try to have a more comfortable pregnancy.

Josie - nice to see you back! How's your grandson? Are you fully recovered from that nasty fall you took a while back?

Jane - I find IMAX Extreme to be actually easier than IMAX2 :p She inserts the CW cardio and compound weight segments between 2 of the IMAX2 segments, which gives you a bit more recovery time. And you don't do IMAX2 blast segment 1 and 10. Give it a whirl on a day when you want a long, thorough cardio session.

Wendy - great workout yesterday!!! Are you doing a CTX rotation to help get back into the swing of things?

Terri - was that the 82 min premix you did, or the 61 min premix? Either one is excellent! And I was feeling my legs this morning from the 61min premix yesterday, too! It makes me wish that she had put KickMax on the same dvd as GS Legs, to enable the same kind of premixes.

Foodie Sue - your workouts do sound like a lot of fun (I love variety). I may have to check out that rotation.

Annette - congratulations on the no-diet weight loss LOL!!

Becky - well, we won't be sharing our anniversary with Jes, but at least we have each other :+ 23 years! I'm very impressed!!

Marla - :p :p :p :p Okay, you win LOL!

Dutchie - congratulations on the puppy!! Puppy-proofing is as much work (if not more) than baby-proofing!

Carla - for that level of soreness, I hope you see some good results!

Charlotte - have a great vacation! We'll see you when you return!

Carole - a marathon in Honolulu in December?? That sounds fantastic! Is DH a runner too, or is he one of those wonderful "supportive spouses"?

Laurie Mac - I'm sorry to hear about the buttered gloves :( Better luck next week. Your workout today sounds really great! A thorough lower body workout, for sure!

Angie - enjoy the Pyramids! They're unique, and effective!

Emily - you are seeing great progress with IMAX3, for sure! Those are two tough intervals you mentioned.

Great workouts everyone! Suck in that oxygen - it's free!

Cheers,
Sandra

Morning ladies. Today was ME for me. As soon as she said it was time for biceps I cringed, but I made it through and now I feel great. I couldn't lift my arms up to dry my hair this morning though.

Sandra - I may just have to do your SJP cardio/SB Challenge mix tomorrow. It's calling my name.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Katie

Wow! We are some busy fit ladies, gotta love it!!

Today I taught my back to back Pump and Flow classes. I love teaching my classes but I'm itching to do some of my new stuff especially CTX upper body and more KPC/L&G premixes and....and....:)
Thursdays feel a bit manic lately, I am at all 3 jobs today and will be ready for a major chill out tonight! Part of my brain is saying stop teaching classes but I don't want to give it up, oops,...that's almost a whine so I'll stop now.

Carole, I saw your post and as I said over there, I'm honoured to have inspired you to break out the credit card. We can think of each other when we get our bills:+

Sandra, another nice mix, do you just go with what jumps out at you or do you start thinking about it the night before? I think it's wonderful that you are so creative with your workouts.

Dutchie, congrats on your new addition, I've been thinking about getting a dog for a while now but hold off because I want the kids to take the responsibility for it. I never had dogs growing up and have come to realise what an awesome addition they are to a family. One of my best friends in the world is a Yellow Lab named Tally:)

Jes, all the best on your wedding day, you are so lucky to have each other! Enjoy the day, we'll be thinking about you. I can't wait to see some pics:)

Gotta go get ready for work.

Take Care
Laurie:)

Ladies, hello to all. I think I'd like to start posting here. I did at one time, briefly but was discouraged since most of you work out early. I on the other hand don't work out until I get off off work, which is 6:30.

But since Cathy posts, then I will too.

Sandra- I did the 90 minute SJP/SB & challenge last night. Is that what you did today? Wow! You are amazing! I did skip through the last hi/lo, it's too boring for me. Then I did BC core followed by ME core (both very similar). I really like this DVD. So many exciting premixes.

Today I guess I'll do legs (don't know which one yet) & maybe some running.

Jes- enjoy that ginormous dinner! I'm craving scallops for some reason today.

Have a fit day, ladies.

Okay, work out complete...push pull. Took me over an hour though because Joey was not happy at all so had to keep pausing to try to soothe him...

Sandra-No, I'm not doing a ctx rotation really. Just throwing things together. lol

Wendy

Hello everyone!

Tuesday I did Muscle Endurance for the first time, and fried my biceps and irked one of my knees. Loved the workout, though! :p }( So, yesterday I took the day off. It was the right decision, I felt rejuvenated this morning. No more DOMs in the biceps or pain in the knees. Yahoo!

Today was HSC-int. I really enjoyed it! I love circuit workouts, the variety is wonderful! This w/o is on the easier side of the fence for me, but I can make it a bit harder from now by using a bit heavier weights and raising the step a little. So versatile! :D

Hi fit grrrlz:

This morning for me was MIC w/u and Hi/Lo, CTX 10-10-10 Hi/Lo, and ME abs. I'm really diggin the variety in this rotation. Boredom is the enemy.

Carole: what an inspiration to hear someone say that a good anniversary gift would be to do a marathon!

Have a good one!

Hi all:

I just finished a 3 mile run. My legs felt like dead weights, but I'm going to blame the 80 degree sun and heat on that. :) But, I love the weather, it's finally not going to rain for a few days.

Cheers from Minnesota.
