Good Morning everyone,

This morning I did Step and Intervals cardio only and PS abs. Is it just me or do all of the CTX workouts have the same "feel" to them? Maybe it's because the clothes are all so similar.

I am just Soooo darn tired. I am barely sleeping and now I have a bad cold so my head feels like it weighs 30 pounds! YUUUCK!x(

Sorry you feel so bad Wendy. Why can't you sleep?

Well snow and sleet again, so no run today. I hate it when my running schedule gets messed up like this! And today my training is messed up anyway, cause somebody broke the window from my garden shed door and today they are supposed to come and replace it. Now I really don't like it when I'm working out and I'm interupted. Even my kids know better then to even ask for a cookie when I'm exercising.

So I've been waiting all day and noone's come sofar. And it's half 3 PM overhere. I know, plenty of time to get one in, but my whole day is messed up.

Anyways, about my blind date, thanks everyone for your advice. Low-cut jeans it is (not too low) and a not too-figure hugging top. I don't know much about my blind date. He's a friend of my physio who doesn't say much about him and what he does say mostly sounds so rediculous (sp?) that I don't believe him. What I do believe is the guy's name, he's 41, blond&blue eyes, single for a while, apparently into spinervals and race cycling (think tour de france). My fysio tells me he told his friend that I'm overweight :) which is why I run (I'm 5.5 and 125pounds). He does have a nice voice on the phone though. And he did think my jokes were funny. So that's good.

My blind date wanted to go out in Amsterdam, but I preferred staying in my own town, if I'm bored, I could be home in 10minutes. So he picked this place where you can have coffee and cake, have a beer, a small meal like pancakes, omelette, etc. or a three-course meal on the top floor. It's not what we call a bar or coffee shop, nor a restaurant. We call it a "grand cafe". It's casual. But his choice is interesting, cause a similar but much more trendy place is right across the street from where we're going. I'll tell you ladies all about it afterwards.

Good morning Wendy....funny you say that about CTX...I have always thought that..:)...I think you should take it easy working out, especially with a cold.

I am doing P90X Legs & Back, some abs and a 10 mile run. Hoping the rain stops a bit...:)...

Morning Ladies,

Leaner Legs, BS Upper Body Add on and abs add on was last night. Tonight is an hour of cardio...yet to be determined.

I am now officially awaiting the arrival of a couple of Hardcore DVD's along with the rest of you...I was feeling like an outcast coz I hadn't pre-ordered any! lol I am also awaiting the Body Blast Series! For those of you who didn't see the end of yesterday's check in thread---I finally broke down last night and ordered it. I couldn't wait for my B'day! :p So I guess I have a lot to look forward too! :+ Originally I wasn't going to get stretch max but after thinking about it I decided it's probably worth it and I wanted Lowmax from the get-go. Now wether I'll be able to do it or not is another story all together! LOL

Good morning!

Yesterday was SB and so happy I completed it; it was the first time I attempted it after getting so sick and even though I almost killed myself on the step during the challenge (because I was sooo tired!) I still finished.....I was determined to no matter how dizzy I got, LOL!!! Today I may go with ME....love that music!

Wendybdh, I hope you feel better soon, that is such a bummerx( I hate when I can't sleep because it just throws everything off and I CANNOT function on less than 5 hours of sleep. I hope you are able to sleep better tonight.

Dutchie, I am sooo excited for you...hmmm, he sounds cute;) !! Yes please give us details because enquiring minds want to know, lol:+ }( ! Outfit gets 2 thumbs up by the way:7 :7

Carole have a a great run! Wow, 10 miles....I think I am already out of breath just thinking about that:eek:

Wendymin, I'm telling you nothing sets our credit cards on fire like this place....oooh, someone call the fire dept!! LOL!! Let us know when you get BB.......you should probably get it by tomorrow or saturday morning......that is the best part of living in the same state as Cathe and SNM...we get our stuff soooo fast!

Mariangeles...did you get any snow in Toledo??? I saw on the news this morning that Central Spain got some snow as well as Mallorca...I can't believe it!!

Jes, you lush!!! LOL! Yes you are being very good and we are so proud of you for not taking that swig:p Soooo it's nice that you thought about the tea with honey and lemon BUT did you actually make and drink it????? How do you feel today??
 
Good morning, ladies:

I have been trying to figure out how the double check-in posts work and I just realized the other one is for people who are following the January rotation. Duh. ;)

Last night I ended up doing NOTHING which I really hate, but I was so exhausted from my previous night's sojourn in a lousy hotel room (I have really high thread count sheets on my bed, so everything else feels like I am swathed in newspaper).

This morning I did PUB, up only, and 30 minutes of cardio. I am trying to do a rotation that works upper and body hard twice a week (once very hard, once less so) and includes 5 days of cardio. So my plan is tomorrow PLB or L&G, then I am trying to decide among ME, C&W, BC, or KPC (wow, you hve no idea how long it took me to get all of these acronyms right! lol)... what do you all think? I don't want to do too much weight work because I am going really heavy on the upper/lower days...

Dutchie, loved your story about the blind date. I am also single (divorced mom with two divine boys aged 6 and 13), and dating is such a strange thing. I was in a really long relationship that ended several months ago and I am having a difficult time getting back into the "market" - it feels like cheating. Weird, yes?

Hi good morning. Today is leg and glutes in the january rotation. I have to add something about the fantastic four dvd.I have seen still steping and it is marvellous. The music is very upbeat. Maybe the second hi/low heaven stage is going to be hard to learn but deserve the effort. Cathe is going to be the base of my workout but I can do some of Cristhi. The outfits of still steping are horrible but the workout is stellar.What a pity that Cristhi dosen't have a big enterprise as Cathe supporting her.Wendy a nap will be great.Dutchie a blind date. What exciting.carole great workout.Wendymin 72 it's great to have you waiting the hardcore as the rest of us.Sandy yes we have snow in Toledo.It´is almost impossible here.The sidewalks were frozen this morning. I have been careful to avoid to fall.Marie I like your rotation idea. 5 days of cardio. It is delicious but you need a rest day.What I am saying? Rest ???. Do what I say but not what I do. During the last rotation I only rested two days . Have a great day everybody.

Sandy: yes! i has some tea right after i posted that and it did help temporarily. i am pretty scratchy today! i am gonna do my workout early (before 2) b/c my tonsils have been getting swollen the same time (5:30 ish) for several evenings in a row. i am goint to attribute this to my increased dairy intake, but the true culprit is dh's germs damn him!

My Coffee pot works! i am so excited i got up this morning and it was all ready for me to drink! it's like having a butler or somethin! i know, i have to get out more!

Carole: i still haven't gotten my massage:-( have you?

Dutchie: your friend told him youwere overweight?! punch him out!!!!

Morning all! Well today was Leaner Legs and my legs feel like jello now. I started out the workout thinking "Hmmm, this doesn't seem so bad. Maybe I'm getting stronger" and by the end I was sweating like a pig and my legs were shaking and about to buckle from underneath me. Silly me.

Wendy - I got sick in the beginning of my prenancy too. It was not fun. I hope you feel better and get some decent rest. It stinks when you're sick and can't take Nyquil.:D

Wendymin - I feel like an outcast too because I have not preordered the hardcore series yet. I just know that if I do my husband would give me the "how many Cathe DVD's do you need?" Maybe in a couple months.

I haven't ordered them either! i am waiting on the previews. since i haven't been doing Cathe very long and i just recently got BB and IS series, i am not dying for new stuff yet. i still can't do Imax2 w/out modifying, so i am pretty sure Imax3 would have me doing my roadkill impersonation again!

I know what you mean about HC! Aside from the stetching dvd, I only ordered Lowmax because I figured I might be able to handle that one! lol I just figured eventually I will want them all anyway and since I was ordering BB regardless, I said to myself, to heck with it, just go for it! That way I also got free shipping on BB too. ;-)

It's amazing how one can justify Cathe purchases, isn't it? }( :p }(

In my first trimester I had NO trouble sleeping at all! It's all I wanted to do! I imagine it's the cold that is keeping you up?

Now in my 6th month, I am sleeping quite restlessly...it is difficult to maintain a comfortable position for very long. I am tossing and turning a lot at night lately. ;(

Pregnancy is a beautiful blessing but it certainly has it's down side at times....Thank goodness it only lasts 9 months! lol :p...seriously though, even with it's problems, I LOVE being pregnant! I hope you love it too! :)

Morning Everyone,

I don't know if I'm going to get my exercise in tonight. I'm having my hair done after work. Need to keep that gray hair under control. :7 I finished DD's room, so tonight we will shampoo the carpet and she will be able to move in tomorrow. Got to love the smile on her face when she looks at the room.

If I have the chance I will be running on the treadmill and some ab work.

Dutchie, sounds like a nice place to have a date. Have a great time.

Wendy, I should be getting my box of BB series tonight. I'm really excited.

I almost hit an old lady today going to work. She was pushing her cart down the middle of the street. The sidewalk was covered with snow. So maybe that was why she was in the road. Around here at 6:55 am it is still dark. Glad I noticed her.

Good morning, everyone! There's so much chatter here these days that I'm not even going to attempt to keep up with it all. But it is really fun to read it all!

This morning I did HSTA, with the cardio done on 6". I really, really like that workout. It's such a nice change of pace from pure cardio or pure weight work.

Wendybdh - still not sleeping well? And getting sick, too?? Oy!! Any chance you can sneak in a nap on your lunch break? And yes, the CTX cardios are all very similar, aren't they? On one hand this makes them ideal for combining into longer cardio segments, but on the other hand, they can get very repetitive if you're doing them frequently. It's a staple to my rotations, regardless of its drawbacks.

Wendymin - Thrilled to hear you've ordered BB and a few of the HC!

Jes - you just can't catch a break, can you?? Poor thing! Buying a coffee pot with a timer was the best thing I ever did for myself, too. It's such a nice way to start the day, and can pull you out of bed on those mornings when it seems impossible. A caffiene alarm clock is what it is for me! Now I want one that grinds the beans for you, too. Do you like flavoured coffees? What kind of coffee beans do you buy? Do you like chocolate covered coffee beans?? (Mmmmmmmm)

Sandy - awesome work on SB!! Great to hear!!!

Marie - I vote for KPC, if you're looking to give all your muscles a break from weight training for a day. But if you're just looking to give your lower body a break after PLB or LG, then I suggest CW. It's a great upper body weight workout, with an intermediate level cardio that doesn't have much in the way of power moves, etc. Those would be my preferences :)

Mariángeles - thanks for so much detailed info about Christi's Fantastic Four dvd! I have that dvd, but haven't even previewed any of the workouts. I keep thinking "I'll get around to it", but then just don't want to skip a Cathe workout. You've motivated me to at least start previewing the workouts!

Katie - surely the answer to your husband's question is "How many are there?"

Anyway, I'm totally bored at work so I thought I'd check out the posts again;-)

I did put down the wrong workout for me earlier:eek: Today is gym day not cardio....so I suppose I'll be carrying myself up there after work:)

I start my new rotation on Tues. I'm planning to just do a mixture of circuit workouts. Does it sound good to you?

So I will do each workout once per week for the month of Feb:
Power Circuit
Fitprime up/down
Fitprime Core
Yoga Fusion
Circuit Max
Gym circuit w/ cardio & weights
I'll be adding yoga 2x per week for stretching

I wish I knew why I can't sleep. I think part of it is my cold. I doubt it has anything to do with the pregnancy.

Wendymin- you know I am more than happy to have breasts which hurt and I actually can't wait till I "look" pregnant. I have made a promise to myself not to complain about any of it. I am so happy that I am going to be a mom that nothing else seems to matter much. If I could just kick this cold I'd be back to feeling baby happy!:)

I told my DH that tonight I am going to bed REALLY EARLY-like 7pm!

It felt good to sweat again. I felt great during and after my spinning class yesterday. I decided not to do any weight training until Monday, so tonight I will spin again. Have a great day all.

Hi everybody,

I did an advanced taebo this afternoon. Felt good to do something different. I really think with the way my feet are tiring during step workouts I am going to have to concentrate on kickboxing or moderate hi/lo or do step workouts off the step. I am not sure if it is my shoes or just my feet saying they have had enough with higher impact stuff.:+ :(

I am however pre-ordering tonight (yes I caved) Kick Max for starters. I am afraid to get any other cardios for fear that my foot won't let me enjoy or even do them. I also found another kickboxing tape that got good reviews over on Collage Videos. I will probably get it too, it is shorter and I need shorter workouts too.:D

I know what you mean, Wendy! I feel the same way! Fortunately, I have very little I even COULD complain about to begin with so I try even harder NOT to complain...but sometimes a little something will slip out now and again. lol I guess it's human nature. :)
