Good morning!
This morning I did IMAX3 step-only; Muscle Endurance (no core); Basic Step stability ball abs; Body Fusion stretch.
I was feeling very non-energetic yesterday, so went to bed at 7:30 last night

I slept for 9 1/2 hours, almost solid. Ahhhhhhh.
Debbie - buying new fitness equipment is always exciting!!! We are currently on a very tight budget, and I haven't been able to buy anything new for quite some time (and I'm in desperate need of maternity workout clothes!). Yesterday I told DH that I was in craving some retail therapy....so I had a bowl of chocolate ice cream with a warmed up peanut butter cookie instead :9
Katie - did you ME along with me this morning?
Jes - new workout dvd's coming your way!! That's the most exciting purchase there is! I'm feeling okay, thank you for asking! I've got one week left in the "honeymoon" second trimester, and my energy levels are starting to decline. I may need to make 7:30 my regular bedtime - which is hard to do so far north, where sunset is 10:30-11:00pm! I'm happy I inspired you to put together a creative workout! I like what you put together. Was it fun? Was the "Snadra" a deliberate pun on mixing things up? LOL!
Connie - Since you love LG so much, then it will be worth every penny to buy the KPC/LG dvd. I think you will get a lot of good use out of it, especially with all the premixes. Let me know how the Fanny Lifter works for HSCircuit; Wendy and I just had a similar discussion about this. I'm glad you like Step Heat! Some people can't get past the dated feel/look of the older workouts, but I like them. They still have a place in my rotations.
Terri - If you have such a hard time taking a rest day, can you take one day a week where you do something really light? Like yoga? Or StretchMax? It will get your blood circulating and make you feel good, but still give your body some time to regenerate. Just an idea.
Laurie - the beauty of the BB series is that they are so finely chaptered that you can be very creative! With KPC I think you could almost make your own workout, one move at a time! Okay, I exaggerate, but another version of KPC I'm thinking of trying some day is to do the workout as-is until the combos, then do all three combos all on the right side first, then all on the left side. That should toast and challenge the muscles! Or, alternate the warm up, intermediate drills, and high drills with each of the combos, in kind of a circuit workout. After I posted yesterday I read the Globe & Mail, and there was an article specifically trumpeting Ralph's joy over the Quebec ruling. The article then discussed each of the premiers' reactions to the ruling, but it appears that everyone is watching Ralph and expecting him to make the first move. And he's got the gumption to do it :-( Your BodyFlow class sounds really fun! I'd love to take a class like that!! Since coming off of my bedrest I haven't reincorporated the Sunday morning yoga. I've been taking Sundays as a day to sleep in. I should put the yoga back in somewhere, as my lower back really does need some good stretching these days. I'll have to think about where in my week I can do that (and Dutchie alerted me to a really good pregnancy yoga dvd).
Wendy - I have the same problem with checking for DR!! I've read and re-read numerous descriptions of how to do it, but it just doesn't make sense to me. I think what I need is to actually feel someone's abs that have the separation, and someone's that does not, so I can see what the heck I'm looking for. Maybe we need to ask Sheila.
Shannon - Everyone has different lifestyles. The great thing about Cathe's workouts is that they're intense enough to do a world of good, even if you only have 45 minutes a day. In an ideal world we could all do two workouts a day, but I know for me personally, once a day, first thing in the morning, is the only time I'm going to get one in.
Jane - what did your HR monitor say about Step Heat? Did you burn a good amount of calories? Of the three workouts on that dvd, Step Jam is my favourite.
Mariángeles - I don't know how you are able to do such intense lower body work on a daily basis. Good for you!
Carla - good luck with the hurricane!!!! I hope you weather it okay. We'll be hoping to hear from you tomorrow!
Kali - I love that feeling, too!
Have a great day!
