Morning all!

Last night was Power Hour. That workout is killer! I think you could go off and write your dissertation, come back and she'd STILL be doing those squats!

Tonight I'm going to try to squeeze in some cardio before I have to drive to the airport in Buffalo to pick up Lunacat (aka Becky).

Hi fit ladies!

Hope you still remember me ;) I've been so focussed on other things!

New job has been wow.. how do I say it - other than I am totally finding the excitement I was looking for. The guy who brought me in was pushed out (fired) on Tuesday so this is the 3rd boss since I accepted started (1 week and 2 days) and there are only like 25 folks in the company!!! YIKES... Suprisingly there are a bunch of women (almost 1/2 - unheard of in software). We all seem to have strong personalities and fortunately mesh really well (so far!). I figure I had the divorce now the honeymoon has begun!

Sadly a classmate of my daughters committed suicide on 3/17. He was the friendliest, nicest kid, always smiling, not a druggie, bright, talented athletically and musically. He was the captain of the hockey team when my son was a freshman so we are going to go to the funeral today. So tragic.

I got estimates on for the kitchen and den and will sign the contract today. I only need to pick out the countertop and floor. We start in less than 6 weeks! I bought a new lamp and sofa for the living room that get delivered shortly. I even got some pics framed (bought one in 99!!)

I am in a rut workout wise. I may switch it up to free weights and running. Today though will be KM. I'm definetely in maintainence mode these days. Maybe I'll switch to the am. My energy is going elsewhere

Tammy hope HSTA is a good workout for you today. I know the crawl back in bed feeling. The cold temps don't help!

GS Back, leg work and abs...I will do these things later on...no getting up at 5am to work out for this gal!:p

Morning ladies. Today was HSC. Ack, those hover squats at the end are a killer! Looking forward to my rest day tomorrow!

Shelley - I've been thinking about getting the PH DVD. Is it a good one?

Robyn - I'm sorry to hear about such a terrible tragedy. My thoughts go to you and the boys family.

Hi everyone,

Shelley - PH really creeps up on you. You are thinking during the warm-up, " This is no big deal", then she lays those squats on you! I really like this workout though, great calm feel to it, not as frantic as some of her weight workouts, imo.

Today was Kelly Coffey Step workout, and BM abs. Great step workout and very good intensity!

Yesterday my weight workout wasn't the best. I was just plain out of energy. But I did get through it. Today I will do Imax 1 and probably a good stretch.

Shelley - you and Lunacat have lots of fun!

Tammy - I think I'd rather go back to bed too. Or at the very least, hit the couch with a good book.

Robyn - My thoughts are with you. You've certainly been under a lot of stress!

Tigger - Enjoy all that weight work!

Katie - Do hoover squats bug your lower back? That's where they really get me, holding that darned barbell for so long!

This morning I did Timesaver#4 (kickboxing and shoulders) and added PUB shoulders and abs.
Maybe can get outside to walk later too.

Daily Check-in

Good morning and thanks for the warm welcome! I will have more time to respond to individual posts on the weekend. My morning check-in will usually be a quick one.

I did a homemade Pyramid Upper Body circuit training workout this morning. I added 5-minute intervals of freestyle rebounding after each body part. Pyramid Upper Body has always been a favorite, but this really added to the fun factor. I love cardio and circuit training. I discovered that I got a better workout overall. My attention span is really short. I was able to focus and push myself harder through the weight work knowing that a cardio break was just around the bend.

Robyn, I am sorry about your daughter’s classmate. That is a tragedy. :-(

Morning all,

I had a interview last night at Bed Bath & Beyond. I had know idea that I had to take an hour long test, I prayed I passed. And by the time I got home, well you guessed it; I was pooped ;(

Therefore, this morning I did GS legs (standing) & MIS abs. Tonight. Legs & Glutes (floorwork)and UB, which workout I have not made my mind up yet. But, leaning towards GS Chest & Triceps OUCH! :p

Robyn – I am soooo sorry to hear about this tragedy. Especially knowing, that he was a good kid. We need Jesus!!!! And especially are children.

Shelley- Pour Hour that’s one of my favorites. A true kick butt workout, nice work!

Tammy – I know how you feel, I felted like staying in the bed this morning. Cathe is calling ya :7

Hi Conni, Katie, Becky, Heather, Michelle (you hate cardio, right? :)), and all who follow or who are posting at or near the same time as me who are not mentioned within this post but who's post appears above mine. (Can you tell I've just spent two days in court? :p )

I was not selected to be on the jury so our family trip is still a go! Yay! Thanks for all your positive vibes. I didn't get released until 6:40pm, and with traffic the courthouse is an hour away from my house, so I kept to the scheduled rest day yesterday. (I did make an attempt, but after I previewed CTX upper body split, I decided there was no way I was going to do that, Legs & Glutes, and a 20 minute run starting at 8pm all with a headache.)

Speaking of which, Sandra, what do you think of the crazy schedule for today? I'm guessing it was planned with heavy Thanksgiving eating in mind. I'm going to do it, but I confess I've been a little apprehensive since I looked at the schedule last night.

I got my workout done this morning since I'm off. I did IMAX 1 and PS biceps. I have to run some errands and take my daddy to the doctor, then I'll do MTV Pilates Mix this evening to get in my long ab routine.

I did the 8 min. taebo this morning, needed a quick short workout, lots to do today. I have a job interview type thingy this afternoon, yes I am having to go back to work to help out with life. It is an evening job so I will be able to continue to homeschool the boys and my df is giving us his van so we will have a 2nd vehicle for free (with the exception of insurance) which will be nice.

Carole you are right... we all do need rests.

My son had a seizure today at school. (His 5th ever). Thank God he was coherant after a few minutes so didn't need ambulance. It actually happened in the gym and the coach was saying that he is a true athlete. They did take his temperature and it was 101. With his situation, any fever is likely to trigger a seizure. So guess we need to monitor it more. Wish it was under control completely but everyone is so great and the fact he came too so quickly is good. He's resting now. We will go to PCP in a bit to have him checked out.

My new company was amazingly good about this. I'm SO GLAD I didn't take the one in Boston, I can't imagine having to wait for a train to get home.

Good morning,

This morning I did BodyMax. On Cathe's rotation I was supposed to do CTX upper body, Legs & Glutes, and a 20 min run. That was just too time consuming for me, so I switched for BM. It hits all the same bases, and is quite intense from start to finish.

Shelley - I love PH, but I agree with you that the squats go on forever!

Tammy - I really enjoy HSTA, but it's not one to look forward to if you're feeling unenergetic. I hope it goes okay!

Robyn - nice to see you today. You sure have a lot going on!

Wendy - happy spinning!

Katie - I think the PH dvd is great! IMO, it's the weight-training version of the Rythmic Step+ dvd (do you have that one?)


Conni - I find BM's weight work in particular to be at a frantic pace. PH is a really nice workout, and the music goes so well with it.

Shannon - So, you're going to do 60 plyo jacks, 64 power jumps, and 48+ power lunges today, hey? ;) Have fun with IMAX!

Becky - nice workout!

Heather - great idea to do a PUB circuit workout! I have a short attention span, too, and also enjoy circuit workouts.

Carole - is this your first attempt at Pilates? Be sure to tell us what you think of it, please.

Teddygirl - I hope your test went well and you get the job.

Pamela - as you can tell from my statement above, I did NOT do today's 2hour+ marathon. I just don't have the time, and I also don't have the patience for that much weight work. I'm going to do CTX upper body and LG, seperately, some time next week because I actually do want to do them - just not in the same day! I'm so glad you got out of jury duty!!! When do you leave for your vacation?

Jane - goodness, IMAX is popular this week. Take it to the max!

Annette - wow, going to work after all these years will be a big change for your family. I hope you get the job.

Made it to spin class nice and early despite all of my worries that I'd be late and wouldn't get in!:+

I'm now off to do GS Back and the some ab work. I have decided that I will forgo leg work on spinning days. Lord knows my legs get enough of a work out w/spin so I will leave it at that! }(

After that it's cleanmax time...whoo hoo! NOT! LOL :p
 
Okay, Legs & Glutes and CTX upperbody are done. I'm trying to dig deep to make myself hop on the treadmill. HELP!!! :)

Sandra, I wish I had viewed your post before I started. Maybe Bodymax would have been better for me too!

Annette and Teddygirl good luck with those interviews!

Wendy, I'm overdue for cleanmax here -- two days away, and I'm so behind I could cry. Oh well, time to hop on that treadmill. It's just 20 minutes, right? }(
