Daily Check In: June 8, 2007

I need a strength workout today. Hopefully my Pyramid Upper/Lower DVD will be here today. I want to try that. Any comments on this workout?

Conni- I've got the heat and humidity blues, too. I've been staying inside with the AC going strong as much as possible. :p

Today is L&G for me. I just love this one, makes me feel SO strong and accomplished. ;)

I've actually got some DOMS in my chest and shoulders from yesterday's PUB! Whoohoo!

Edited to add: I was able to up my weight in 2 of the PUB segments- chest and overhead press. Felt great, I love that burn! :D
 
Good Morning! I did the same workout as Debbie today, the Gauntlet, boy that's a busy workout, it sure got the heart and the endorphins pumping. I slept crummy last night but feel way better after my workout.

I'm going to have to check back and see what Carole and Laurie Mac were talking about, I'm not sure what freestyle training is but am intrigued.

Hope you get your NapMax in Sandra.

I'm off to work, awesome workouts ladies, you all inspire me to work harder and I love it!:)

Congrats on your ME progress, that's terrific!! :)

I always have trouble when a w/o has push-ups AFTER triceps, too. You're certainly no wimp, though. It's all a progression, you'll get there. ;)

I really have no idea what a free style workout is either. Would anyone mind explaining it? I think I have to have a video to motivate me and I am assuming you do your own thing......is that right??

I just got back from a 45 minute walk outdoors(did ME earlier this morning) and let me tell you, the humidity makes it a whole lot tougher!!!! It felt great but I am wringing wet......off to the showers now,so you all can quit holding your noses!!!!:p

Morning all you fit ladies! I did another 30 minute run today. My legs were really sore from yesterday's run. Hopefully my TV will be up and running tomorrow morning so I can do some Cathe. I haven't done one of her workouts in over a week and I'm going insane!!!

Wendy - I know EXACTLY how you feel about needing just a couple hours away sometimes. I didn't get to go out without baby for about 3 or 4 months after I had her. I just longed for some adult only time. But you'll be amazed how much you miss them even for those few hours. HAVE A GREAT TIME!!!

Becky - The bicep work in ME is a killer. I know that after I'm done with it and then you have to hold that 10 lb. plate to do the leg presses, I always feel like I'm going to drop it on my foot.

Great workouts ladies. If my TV is running tomorrow I'm doing IMAX 2. It's my absolute favorite and I have missed it.

Conni - LOL! I didn't even notice!

I finished my workout last night with L&G floorwork, a segment of Ab Hits and the band portion of Stretch Max. My knees always feel so much better the day after I do L&G floor.

But as a result of my workout last night, I got to bed too late and couldn't get up in time this morning to do Kick Max! Grrrrr...... Will try to fit it in tonight but it's not likely.

LOL!! At the 2007 thing!!

I did 60 min. of legs, shoulders and abs using L&G, PLB, PUB and PSBB&A and PSCS&T!! No cardio today it is already hot here. I will try tomorrow for cardio.:D I promise.

Hope you all have a great day, and Wendy have a nice time tonight. When mine were that young I never left them but then again I was solely breastfeeding and none of them took a bottle,sigh!! Looking back I wouldn't change a thing!!:7
 
Laurie and Becky, freestlye training seems to be targeted towards slimming down the pear shape. The concept is doing compound exercises (lunges for example) with alot less weight and more reps 4-6 times a week. Alrighty. I tried an A Jock mishy moshy messy type of thing, a little modified. I did the Gauntlet cardio only, IM3 blasts only, and PP. Did my own abs (situps w/ 35 lbs on my chest) after. Can I die now?? LOL. I feel great. I think I'm still burning from the remnants of PUB. I still have to get the lower half. Shelley, the Terminator is a must have!

Good Afternoon Fit Women,

Gosh, I am getting a late start with checking in here. This morning I ran for 30 mins. The running is getting better for me. I am going without the need to stop here and there. I am so pleased. I will be doing PLB this evening to the sounds of Destiny's Child. Yesterday my son did Core Max 1 with me and it gave it his best shot. Collasped on the floor and said it felt like someone stabbed him in the back. LOL! I said, "doesn't it feel good". He looked at me like I was sick or something! LOL!

Thanks Carole, you're the best!:7 That's a lot of material! I am going to brew a coffee and puruse it leisurely. I love learning about new ways to mix up the workouts keeps it fresh and fun!

Today I was supposed to do a 30 min run, but since I have yet to start adding running into my workout routine, I knew I would be doing more walking than running.

So, instead I opted for IM#2, CM#1, and SM#1.
