Daily Check In: Friday, May 13, 2005

Jes - in reply to your question in yesterday's check-in about eating cereal every night - I make a conscious effort to eat a meal when my daughter is with me, but when she's with her dad, and I work out as soon as I get home and then run around doing other stuff like cleaning, by the time I eat it's usually around 9 and I can't be bothered to make anything and I LOVE cereal. My SO is always saying "let me just make you some pasta/rice/veggies" but who wants to eat all that at 9 o'clock at night?:p So, there you go, a very long-winded answer.
 
I agree Shelley...cereal is da bomb! :+

I also like a hearty salad when I don't feel like doing any cooking. It's amazing how a salad can fill you up (and still be healthy) if you put the right things in it! YUMMY! :9

Wendy...when you decide to look for these Dumbbells check locally. When I looked on the Bowflex site they were $399 and $100 shipping!! The site I used was alot better at $350 and no shipping but I bet by X-Mas they will drop in price...http://smilies.sofrayt.com/%5E/_950/wink.gif[/img]...Carole

Yeah I did the 25lb dumb bells in PUB, but could only curl 4 times with it before my form weakened. I took a regrouping break for 2 mins between hammer and reg curls on that one! YIKES! Anyhow, I usually just try to use 5lb's more than Cathe in Legs and Glute for the most part and I like to use 50lbs for the squats. That is all challenging enough don't you agree?

Great workouts everyone! Wendy, you just keep going and going and going (like a pregnant Energizer Bunny!) - you're amazing!

Today I did the May Rotation: Chest (no kneeling cable flys- flies? - since I don't have that kind of equipment) and the cardio segments from Cardio & Weights.

I'm very excited because I ordered IMAX3 the other day and it shipped yesterday! I'm hoping it's here for my next "full" cardio workout, which I think is Monday.
 
Morning ladies! It's Friday! This morning I started with IMAX2 warm-up and then ran 2 1/2 miles!!! Woo hoo!!! I am almost to my 3 mile mark which is what I'm working towards. I'm sure that to a lot of you that seems like nothing, but believe me, to me it's a HUGE thing. Then I did one segment of Coremax.

BTW, I've lost 3 pounds this week!!! It's amazing what really cracking down on your eating will do. I just hope I can keep it up.

Jes, I should think there's going to be an early roll-call at Cathe Camp, but that shouldn't bother you, since your gang will still be up from the night before.

Dutchie, take a rest day. You don't want to risk a more severe injury that would possibly require weeks of "rest."

Wendy, sorry to hear about your stomach troubles again. Just think, in another short week or two, this will all be but a memory...(remember, I have dibs on May 24).

Katie, kidney stones, too?? Awful!! High five on the great run!!

Jes - I am doing the Hardcore Fat Loss rotation. I tried to do it last month, but I couldn't get myself motivated enough to eat clean. This month I am on track and starting to feel great.

Sandra - Yes, kidney stones too. I'm a mess. I don't know if it's related to the kidney stones, but for the past week every time I eat I get extremely nauseous. There is no way I'm pregnant, but that's what it feels like. It does make not pigging out a lot easier.:)

Hi everyone. Today I have received the TAEBO get ripped, I have seen the workout II with Billy in the cover and I looove it. I love the workout and I like the not vocal music too. I can't wait to try the get ripped . They are on my schedule for tomorrow.Today I want to do a light workout. I will use my stationary bike and I do the first segment of core max. Happy Friday All!

Today I have done push/pull so far. Later I will do treadmill intervals for cardio and then biceps and triceps S&H. I should do some core work as well but we will see what happens as far as evening plans. If I don't go out I can. I went out last night and had a great time. SO a friday night at home might be a good thing to help me relax from this stressful week I have had.

I did PUB Chest and PSBB&A abs and lower back only, then I did Cardio Kicks for my cardio. I am now down 7 pounds from my this time around high so I am feelin' good!!!:7 :D Hopefully it will keep coming off!!:)

And Wendy only 6 more days til your due date, I bet you are getting anxious.:eek: Not to burst any bubbles about going early or on your due date, but 1st babies are notoriously late }( !! My first was 12 days late as was my 2nd, 3rd was taken early with a scheduled section. You are staying home after the baby is here am I right?!? I don't think you said that you were going back to work?:+ Forgive me if I am wrong.

YES, anxious is putting it mildly! LOL I am sooo ready to have my little guy in my arms instead of in my belly! He's gettin' heavy for the belly to handle and with all of the weights I've been lifting thanks to Cathe, my arms are ready for him!!! ;)

I know first babies tend to be late...but I can hope, right? :p

You are correct, I don't intend to go back to work after Joey is born. I've always wanted to be a SAHM. We will see what happens though. If I find it's not for me, I can always look into employment of some type...full or p/t.

I am really looking forward to this new chapter of my life! I already love my baby sooo much and I haven't even met him yet!:)

I just finished doing LM warm up and blast premix followed by the Bootcamp lower body premix and core.

I don't think I smell very good right now.:+
