Hello everyone,

Great workouts ladies!!

Gave my doors their second coat of paint. They do look good. It's nice how new paint can brighten up the room. Give it a new fresh feel.

After I finished it was just 10AM and already 28C (88F). So I skipped my run and went upstairs to my a bit cooler bedroom and decided that I needed a very sloooow and heavy w/o. So I did S&H legs, Chest&Biceps. The tempo of the workout totally matched the heat. Perfect.

Tomorrow it will be even hotter, so I will stick with S&H when this temp keeps up.

Well we have an official heat wave: five days in a row of 30C+. Really undutch. Which means houses are not fitted with AC's and it's too hot where ever you go.

Hi good morning, today is a TAEBO day. Happy weekend.

Mariángeles a spanish terminator and TAEBO junkie. :)

Good morning,

This morning I did IMAX3 step-only and Power Hour Upper Body work.

Becky - so glad to hear the root canal wasn't as bad as you were anticipating! I can't believe they left part of the file in there! That seems weird, especially since it also happened to your mother - twice! Do you go to the same dentist? And btw, with a compliment like that, I'd keep going to that dentist forever, file or no file!

Laurie - Paris is doing much better, I'm happy to say. The antibiotics kicked in fast. It's so hard to watch your kids have to go through pain, isn't it? I'm glad your ankle is improving. I agree with you on the RS music :p I think Power Hour was made at the same time as RS, and this morning as I was doing it, I was thinking, PH really got the better music of the two. Too bad she didn't use more of that in RS, instead of repeating the same song over about a zillion times. I LOL at what you found in the moving box! I imagine I'll be doing the same thing at the end of January. Your mish mosh today sounds intriguing. Please post the details once you've done it.

Jane - LOL at the defillibrator remark! Yup, MIC is quite the workout! Good for you for surviving!!! Strangely enough, the blast at the very end is my absolute favourite Cathe segment.

Foodie Sue - new shoes!! Which ones? And how do you tell when you need to replace your old ones? Because I only wear my Rykas inside, for my workouts, they always stay looking good, even when the support might be going. I'm always hesitant to chuck a pair of shoes that still look perfectly good! How can you tell the support is going?

Shelley - so now that you've tried them all, which one of the Terminator workouts is your favourite?

Cathy - good luck with the move!

Carla - did I read that right??? You did LL with a 70lb, 50lb, and 40lb barbell??? SERIOUSLY??? CAN YOU WALK??

Wendy - have fun with Cardio Kicks!

Terri - does it appear that I actually remember all this stuff? LOL! No, I open up another window of Explorer and reread everything while I type! My memory sucks, so I don't use it anymore :)

Dutchie - ouch! Edmonton is similar wrt lack of a/c because we typically don't get much roasting-hot weather. You're a sensible person to tone down your workouts during the heat wave.

Have a great day everyone!
Sandra

Hi all, sorry I wasn't here yesterday, unscheduled day off.

I help to put in windows and move drywall though

So today was makeup day for Wednesday's legs which weren't done. So I did PUB Chest and BAck, Slow and Heavy Legs, PLB floorwork, and PSSL&A abs, I may even do some cardio later since I missed my carido workout yesterday.:D

Gonna be a hot one today!! UGH!!:(

Have a good one!!:7

Sandra:

I don't really know when shoes need to be replaced exactly. I know for running shoes its every 500 miles, but its harder to tell for aerobic type shoes. I've been wearing mine close to 6 days a week for 6 months, and I figure they're going through lots of impact. They still feel pretty good, but then again I would get use to what they feel like anyway. The old ones are Asics trainers-TR300--some of the most comfy shoes I've ever had. But I ordered the Ryka Enlight II's based on the recommendation from an "ask Cathe" thread. Like you, I only wear them for my workouts.

I've had Ryka's before and liked them pretty well, so thought I'd give them another whirl. This way I can also rotate shoes, which is good for them to be able to dry out. Maybe I'll wear the old ones on weights only days and use the new ones for all impact days.

Sandra - I haven't done Imax Extreme with the weights, just the cardio portion, but so far I like The Viper best. I think it's because I really like ME as well:)

I totally switched up my workout today. It ended up being a non-Cathe day. I did Charlene Prickett 'Crazy for Step' on 1 riser:-( and modified any moves with torque. I got my new BodyPump release so I checkout the abs and stretch, Fat Boy Slim's remake of Steve Miller's 'Joker', "I really love your peaches want to shake your tree" is one of my all time favourite lines from a song. It always makes me chuckle!:) The abs were good but too short, under 5 minutes.

Sandra, glad Paris is getting better. I'll put that mish mosh in the bank and do it when my ankle isn't complaining.:)

Take Care
Laurie:)

Sandra,
Just want to answer your question as I read it, or I'd forget.(my memory sucks too). My mom and I went to THREE different dentists! The first one was years ago in Connecticut where I grew up. Then it just happened again to her recently at her regular dentist. My regular dentist sent me to a specialist. He only does oral surgery and root canals.......and it happened to me there!!
Crazy, isn't it?
I hope someone answers your question about shoes. I too wear mine only for aerobics & weights and never outdoors, so how do you know when its time for a new pair???
Okay, I've workout, gone shopping, had a healthy lunch and cleaned, so now it's time for RELAX MAX with my new Janet Evanovich book!!! I love Stephanie Plum.............and her grandma!!! ha
:+
TGIF ! Hope everyone has a great weekend!!!!
