Hi Jes....too lazy to start...:)...Thanks!! You have quite a workout planned...:)

Since I slacked yesterday...:+ I am running 7 miles today after PLB standing legs, then MIS Chest & Back.

Pampering myself today.....looking forward to my massage....:)...have a great day ladies...:)...Carole

Hi all,

I will be doing Imax1 tonight.

Sandra, after my youngest DD told me to go exercise I did just that. }( I think she was liking the fact that she didn't have to watch what her older sister wanted to watch.

Happy Exercising!

Hi good morning everybody. Today is ME in my rotation. I will add some cardio . Have a nice day.

Mariángeles a spanish terminator junkie. :) :)

I am getting frustrated. I haven't worked out my upper body much and I am getting fatigued and shaky arms with the littlest weights.
Somebody motivate me today!!!

Good morning ladies....

Today I did Step Works. It is on the Cardio Hits DVD that I have had for over a year. I had never done this one. While the choreography was very doable, I thought she just kept repeating and repeating and repeating the same combinations, to the point of madness! Oh well, it was still a good workout.

Getting tired of the cold weather.

Toasty--get off the couch! Let's see some PUB or CTX upper body (that's what I'm doing tomorrow). ;) ;)
Susan

Good morning,

Today I did my homemade circuit of Cardio Kicks/Leaner Legs, and added CTX Back. I modified the hi/lo in CK, and did the power kick drill grounded. I lowered my barbell by 5lbs for the LL static lunges and plie squats. Overall, a fun, highly varied, and thorough workout. Now I need a nap :)

Kathy S - glad to hear your ankle has improved! How was your elliptical training? Did it bother you?

Wendymin - oh, the first year of discovering Cathe is an expensive one, isn't it? How about a compromise? Get the Timesaver DVD right now, and save the rest of the BB series until your b'day? Seriously, the Timesaver will serve you extremely well right now. The cardios are short, less intense, and lower impact than CTX, and you will get another total body workout, done one body part a day, as in CTX.

Wendybdh - did you do IMAX2 modified? That workout is just too much fun to leave it out altogether.

Carole - Er, that 31 mile run sounds even more challenging than a marathon! Have you done it before? I dabbled a bit in cross-country trail running, and liked it a lot more than pavement running. I liked all the variety with running up and down hills, jumping over tree roots, etc. Made it much less monotonous (my main problem with long-distance running).

Jes - no way!!! Second time through RS and you didn't screw up at all??? Wow! You are choreographically gifted, my friend! I'm not sure how many times it took me to get to that point, but it was much more than two! Having learned SB before RS, which of the two would you say was harder to learn, choreographically speaking? What will your self-pampering today include?

Laurie Mac - I remember those days; when my older brother wasn't around to take over everything I was very happy. I remember the day Mom baked a cake when he wasn't home. I was so excited (about 5 years old at the time), because I was going to get to lick *both* beaters and the bowl all by myself!!!! At the very minute Mom was about to hand me the bowl and the beaters, our neighbour and her 5 year old daughter dropped by for a visit. Mom told me to give a beater to Jenny, and let her scrape out the bowl. I collapsed into a fit of disappointed rage. Mom sent me to my room, and Jenny got it all. It's one of the childhood memories that tells me that I probably need therapy :)

Katie and Kingston Laurie - we haven't heard from you guys in a bit. I hope all is well; please drop us a hello if you get the chance (and are reading these messages!).

Everyone else, have a great workout today! I am so impressed with how consistent everyone on this forum is about getting some sort of exercise in every day. Thanks for making me feel like I'm not a workout freak, but actually quite normal. There are indeed other people in the world who enjoy exercise, and are happy to do it! :)

Cheers!
Sandra

Hi Charlotte,

PUB = Pyramid Upper Body (from the Intensity Series)

If you want a little help today, just read your own tag line :) It's a very motivating statement. Habit is what keeps me going almost every day.

Pick your favourite upper body workout, and start off with lighter-than-usual weight loads. As you get into it, you may decide to increase, but if you don't then that's just fine! Just do what you can; every day is a whole new ball game.

Sandra

Sandra,

Thanks...that is just what I did today was the Upper Body. Boy, that was intense! Arms still shaky. Gonna do Legs and Shoulders next, but think will skip the shoulder part since I am still shaky up there.
Have a good day!

Charlotte

So Carole is having a massage and Jes is going to "pamper" herself....maybe we should make this spa day!?!? I'm up for that challenge!!

Sandra I agree with you...it is so motivating to check-in on this forum!!:) :) I was laughing so hard at the post about 'you know you're good with exercise when....'

Today I'll be doing MIC(step) along with Allstep.

Have a great day!!

today was Body Max on the Jan.rotation. after the warm up, I jumped to the power circuit segment, then added a run and finished with the uper body part. I am trying to get more varied cardio so i replaced the part 1 step segment with the run.

Hi ladies,

After 2 months and 8 days I'm back online on my own home computer, YEAH! Spend most of my day catching up with all the forums.

Those of you who remember me, I've been keeping up with my workouts and still running strong with son no. 1. I've just signed us up for a 6K race a month from now, to give my son a feeling of what's it like to run a race. This one is practically at my doorstep, so very convenient :) We've just started training for a 1/2 marathon in May and we will finish! And like the rest of you, I', anxiously waiting for the Hardcore series.

Those who don't know me, nice to meet you all and hope to see you all here on a daily basis. I used to be a daily subscriber to this thread until I had major internet problems :) Missed this threat. Kept me working out:D

Have a great day, overhere it's early evening and I'll be off to bed and read a little.

Dutchie

Hi girls! Yesterday ended up being a no-workout day. We had some unexpected guests just as I was heading upstairs for my workout, and we ended up going out to dinner with them. Probably just as well for my banged-up body. :)

I have BodyMax, but knew I couldn't do the step and prefer other strength and abs stuff. So today instead of BodyMax I did MIS straight through -- I lightened my weight on legs to a 30-lb barbell and paused the tape so that I could do my lunges VERY slowly and gently. I noticed some tailbone area discomfort on squats, oddly enough, so I took those really slowly too. I can't match Cathe on biceps -- I don't think I'll ever work up to 35 lbs on my barbell for biceps, my hardest area to train. But I heavied up for me, on all upper body, and it felt great. Then I did 45 minutes on my elliptical trainer. I still wouldn't trust my ankle for anything that required leaving the ground. :)

YAY!!!! Dutchie's back!!!! Glad to "see" you again!!:7 :7 We missed you!!!:D

I did Cardio Kicks up till the drills then I did KPC's 3 combos and the stretch skipping the abs. So all in all a little over an hour long workout. Since I did back yesterday with my chest workout I didn't need to do any weight work today so I concentrated on cardio.:D

Have a great day everybody!!:D

Hey all! welcome back Dutchie!

my pampering plan got tossed :-( so maybe another day this week. it WAS going to consist of pedicure, manicure, facial and massage. but, i went to visit a friend who just had surgery and ended up staying to long. it's funny how much more difficult it is to have a concersation with someone on valium and pain pills. very ammusing, but not productive. oh, well. so, after i get this tuna fish down, i am still planning to do imax2 and ME.

great workouts everyone!

jes

Hi all! Sorry it's been awhile, but this weekend was CRAZY! Between my Birthday outing and my daughters Birthday party I barely got a chance to breathe. And what really stinks is that I was sick the whole time, and still am for that matter. I feel terrible because I haven't worked out in a week!!! I can't remember the last time I went that long without working out, but in the morning when I wake up I feel so miserable that there is NO WAY I'd be able to get any kind of benefit from attempting a workout. I am hoping for tomorrow though!

Hope everyone is having a great day!

Katie

Hi again!

Wendymin - so glad to be able to help you spend your money :)

JAFit and Kathy S. - very interesting modifications on Body Max. Nice work!

Kathy S. - I will be going to the post office tomorrow!

Dutchie - welcome back! I'm pleased to hear that you and son are still running together. Very enviable. The race sounds like it will be fun!

Annette - that combo of KPC and CK sounds like an excellent one!

Jes - did the tuna fish sandwich stay down when you did IMAX2 and ME??

Katie - boy you've been having a rough week! I sincerely hope you are feeling well enough to do something tomorrow, even if it's a really light workout. It feels so good to get the blood circulating.

Have a good night, everyone.
Sandra

Hi everyone,

I'm a little late checking in today. I did Circuit Max this morning and tonight I did 30 minutes of Solid Gold Step. I'm really catching on now so it's becoming a lot of fun.

Sandra, I pretty much did IMAX 2 unmodified. My DH came down to ride the stationary bike while I worked out so I had to "show off" a little bit:) I definitely had more energy than I did yesterday morning-Thank goodness.

Dutchie- I was just thinking of you just the other day- I hope all is well and welcome back-we missed you. Are you still in school?

Jes- Nice Workout! You were absolutely cracking me with the friend just out of surgery story!LOL

Carole- I think your workout today more than makes up for slacking yesterday.

Foodie Sue- I'm with you on Step Works- I just can't get into that one. I guess that's why I haven't bought Cardio Hits or the Classics yet.

Charlotte- I agree with Sandra - great tag line. My workout room wall is blank but I may have to paint this one on my wall. You don't mind if I borrow it do you?

Lisa- The 'you know you're good with exercise when....' was pretty hysterical wasn't it - I was ROFL!:)

Kathy- it's nice to have guests but don't you hate it when your workout gets interrupted?}( Be careful, the last thing you want to do is reinjure your ankle.

Have a great night everyone Wendy
