Good morning,
Today I did my homemade circuit of Cardio Kicks/Leaner Legs, and added CTX Back. I modified the hi/lo in CK, and did the power kick drill grounded. I lowered my barbell by 5lbs for the LL static lunges and plie squats. Overall, a fun, highly varied, and thorough workout. Now I need a nap
Kathy S - glad to hear your ankle has improved! How was your elliptical training? Did it bother you?
Wendymin - oh, the first year of discovering Cathe is an expensive one, isn't it? How about a compromise? Get the Timesaver DVD right now, and save the rest of the BB series until your b'day? Seriously, the Timesaver will serve you extremely well right now. The cardios are short, less intense, and lower impact than CTX, and you will get another total body workout, done one body part a day, as in CTX.
Wendybdh - did you do IMAX2 modified? That workout is just too much fun to leave it out altogether.
Carole - Er, that 31 mile run sounds even more challenging than a marathon! Have you done it before? I dabbled a bit in cross-country trail running, and liked it a lot more than pavement running. I liked all the variety with running up and down hills, jumping over tree roots, etc. Made it much less monotonous (my main problem with long-distance running).
Jes - no way!!! Second time through RS and you didn't screw up at all??? Wow! You are choreographically gifted, my friend! I'm not sure how many times it took me to get to that point, but it was much more than two! Having learned SB before RS, which of the two would you say was harder to learn, choreographically speaking? What will your self-pampering today include?
Laurie Mac - I remember those days; when my older brother wasn't around to take over everything I was very happy. I remember the day Mom baked a cake when he wasn't home. I was so excited (about 5 years old at the time), because I was going to get to lick *both* beaters and the bowl all by myself!!!! At the very minute Mom was about to hand me the bowl and the beaters, our neighbour and her 5 year old daughter dropped by for a visit. Mom told me to give a beater to Jenny, and let her scrape out the bowl. I collapsed into a fit of disappointed rage. Mom sent me to my room, and Jenny got it all. It's one of the childhood memories that tells me that I probably need therapy
Katie and Kingston Laurie - we haven't heard from you guys in a bit. I hope all is well; please drop us a hello if you get the chance (and are reading these messages!).
Everyone else, have a great workout today! I am so impressed with how consistent everyone on this forum is about getting some sort of exercise in every day. Thanks for making me feel like I'm not a workout freak, but actually quite normal. There are indeed other people in the world who enjoy exercise, and are happy to do it!
Cheers!
Sandra
