Daily check-in 07/07/2005

Mornin' all,

I really enjoyed KPC yesterday- I'm starting to get into it's groove. Now I'm debating what my next Cathe DVD should be- KPC/L&G or C&W/Imax2. Hmmmm. I'll probably get more use out of C&W right now. Wouldn't it be cool if you could order a customized DVD with 2 workouts of your choice? :p

Today is PLB + walking lunges as a sub for S&H legs. I think I'm going to do just 3 sets- heaviest to lightest today. I was looking at the DVD details and saw this is one of the premixes- how cool!! :)

Great workouts, as always, everyone! I'm sending comforting and positive vibes out to those who are in hurricane watches, and everyone in England. When I read about the attacks in London, I felt like it was 9/11 all over again.

Good morning all,

I woke up at 4am and couldn't sleep. I should have worked out then! But no I watched the horrible news on tv and fell back to sleep feeling like he whole world is a BIG mess. So now that I have pulled myself together I plan a run on the treadmill and later I will do a weight workout and abs. Carole Good for you on your results with the freestyle training. I may break down and buy the book. I am just afraid that what works for some won't work for me. Do any of you ever think ok enough is enough? I here about p90x and think "I should buy that" or freestyle or burn the fat feed the muscle and the list goes on and on. To have a heart rate monitor or not to. To have a body fat analyzer or not to. I make myself crazy and trust me thats not a very long trip :) Ok enough of that. I hope you all have a great day and just think tomorrow is friday!

Hi all, today I was actually going to give my legs a rest from the freestyle workout but instead I did CTX Kickbox cardio only along with Cardio Kicks' Arm Drills and I ended up working my legs by doing the leg drills from Kick Max. It was a much longer workout than I anticipated but a good one nonetheless!:D :7

I hope that was enough to count toward the freestyle workout because my legs are toast now,LOL!! :+

I may not be able to walk after I am done doing this for this week.

Have a great day!!:D

Morning all! Today was PLB and cardio only from Step and Intervals. Tried to talk myself out of doing the cardio pretty much during the whole PLB workout, but I made myself do it anyway.

Sandra - I've made it all the way through IMAX 3 probably 3 times. I usually need to pause it about twice to catch my breath, but I'm getting better. I'm just not as excited about that one as I am with IMAX 2. I tend to get excited on the mornings I get to do IMAX 2. Tomorrow is SB, one of your favorites (and mine). That one still kicks my butt by the challenge.

I'm very excited because I have gotten my boss interested in trying out Cathe. She doesn't know if her workout room has enough space to do step aerobics, but I am lending her my Timesaver DVD (it's the ONLY Cathe DVD I can even think about temporarily parting with, and even then I'm still a little uneasy.) She is going to try it without a step just to see if she has the room and if she does she wants to order IMAX 2. I told her that was a pretty intense workout to begin Cathe with. Unfortunately, I am selfish and there is NO way I am parting with my IMAX 2 DVD even for a day!!!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Katie

Hi again everybody,

I did slow and heavy legs and shoulders earlier and just came back from a HOT, sweaty, 45 minute walk!
Am glad I got cardio in, but am wondering why I waited so late in the morning to do it ?? Too hot for me!! Next time I will walk first, then hit the dvd workouts!! ;-)

Cheers!

Good day all:

Today I did The cardio only from timesaver 1 and 2, CTX bi's/tri's and abs from LL. Today I am traveling to an offsite meeting that includes an overnight, so it works well that tomorrow is my rest day since I won't be around.

I'll be out of town a lot this weekend so probably won't get to post until Monday, so everyone have a great weekend!

Hello again.

Boot Camp is done. PHEW! I was sweatin'! lol I feel so great now that I did it! I had said I would do it once per week and blew it off last week and was just about to blow it off again this week! BAD ME! I'm happy I didn't let it slide again. :)

Sandra-Thanks for the info on Christi. I'm going to look into Totally Cool Step at Collage.

Hey Wendy,

Rob is not as intense as Cathe, but alot like Christi in complexity. You think that it is not going to get your heart rate up because of the lack of impact, but the workout is 65 minutes total. I did not feel cheated at all!

Good afternoon all!

I'm late today. Didn't know exactly what I wanted to do today. Did, KPC sans warmup, Kickmax blast challenge, S&H tri/bis and CM#1. Fantastic workout. I love when Aiden takes long naps, or at least through most of my workout. When I was crunching he kept bumping his butt against my head & laughing which got me laughing. Crazy boy :)

Hey ladies! I was unable to post the past two days because of stupid computer problems. Gotta love technology! Anyways- Tuesday was S&H Biceps and Triceps with a run and yesterday was Legs and Glutes. I was proud of myself bc I used my ankle weights for the first time in the second portion! My legs are paying for it right now though. Today I did PS Chest and Shoulders. I was going to do some cardio too but I can barely move my legs....dern those ankle weights. Im missing not being able to do as much cardio but this week I wanted to focus on weights and things have been hectic as my friend is visiting from CA and Ive been sore from really pushing it with my weights this week. Well thats all for now....hasta manana!!

Christina:)

I just finished Rhythmic Step for the first time. That is going to take a little practice. I am going to have to take a lot of that turning out. I thought I was going to have to take a pill I have for vertigo!! I didn't think I'd get too much of a w/o since I heard this thing was complicated but surprisingly it was a pretty good sweat...

Here's the numbers... AvgHR 134 MaxHR 160 calories burned 438.

Not bad for the first time...

Good job Jane! Rhythmic Step is SOOO much fun! One of those workouts were I find myself smiling the whole time. I'm in the midst of a 12 week rotation, but as soon as I finish there are so many oldies I can't wait to do, and RS is one of them...

Late in the day check-in for me. Taught 2 classes this a.m. but after the day I've had it feels like longer than that. I am really missing my cardio these days, I've somehow lost my groove. If I want to get it in tomorrow I have to get up before 7:00 and now that the kids are out of school that's harder to do, excuses, excuses...:p

Everyone is working hard and trying new things, sure is nice to keep mixing things up.

Jane nice job on RS, of all of my Cathe step w/o's that was the one that kept me on the learning curve the longest.

I'm so out of the loop today that the horrific events in London are still unclear to me. I'll check out the news sites.

Until tomorrow fitness friends:)

Take Care
Laurie
