CTX Boost Rotation

tetons

Cathlete
Hi all

Just wanted to share a rotation I have been doing for the last 3 weeks and really enjoying.

Sat: MIS Legs + 30 min yoga or pilates
Sun: CTX KB + MIS Chest
Mon: CTX AS + MIS Back
Tue: LL
Wed: CTX 10-10-10 + MIS Shoulders
Th: CTX PC + MIS Bi
Fri: CTX S&I + MIS Tri

I wanted a little more than 1 upper body per week and a little more legs and always try to get in at least 1 yoga/pilates, so this was perfect for me while staying within the 60 min per day range.

Hope someone else enjoys this too! Have a great day.

Hi Nancy--

Are you doing the cardio only of the CTX workouts or the whole thing (the cardio and weight work)with the MIS work tacked on the end? I am intrigued.

Maggie

I'm not Nancy, but I think she is doing 2 body parts per day in order to work each one twice instead of once per week. I did almost the same rotation exactly one year ago and it is excellent! I did opposing muscle groups so, for example, I'd do Step Interval/Chest then add on MIS back. However, my workouts clocked in at 55-70 minutes long, most of them over an hour.

Mi Maggie

I am doing just what Beth said. Sometimes they do go slightly over 60 minutes, but not much. I have ordered the videos to make sure not to consecutively work body parts and am doing the cardio and then 2 body parts per day (except my LL day, I just do that tape).

Really feeling strong... give it a try.

This looks like a good rotation but when do you rotate in a rest day? Or when you do, do you pick a day and double up a body part?

I don't really have a rest day, per se... I guess I consider the MIS LB day with the yoga/pilates sort of a rest day since it is basically 20 minutes (albeit a hard 20 minutes!) of lower body sculpting. My usual rest days are pilates or yoga anyway.

Thanks--it lookslike a fun rotation--I'll probably have to work in a rest day as I have a knee that bothers me some times if I overdo it.

Maggie:)

I just, in the last few days, decided to do almost the same rotation for 4 wks (February). In fact, I came to this forum to post it and see if anyone else had done such a thing! :p

I'm using the PS Series instead of MIS. Also, I do have Sundays as rest days.

Truth be known, MIS legs sounds sooooooo much better than PS Legs. That one always kills me.:+

Cool! I am loving this rotation and really feeling good about it and since both cardio segments and lifting segments are so short each day - there never seems to be any dread or boredom!
