Morning girlies,

I'm exhausted this morning - got about 3 hours of sleep last night for one reason or another but still got up and let Shaun T whoop my booty! Geesh. Month 2 is going to kill me. Colleen, I understand why you're counting down for sure! I'm already sore from this morning.

I'm going to take a nap and I'll be back later and try to catch up on personals from the weekend. Our weekend was fabulous! Had great family time and it was just so relaxing and wonderful!

Keep it clean and tidy!

Morning ladies! Sorry I was MIA yesterday - I don't even think I touched the computer yesterday.

Yesterday I did 8 miles - the longest run for me so far - and it was HARD. It was windy and the route I picked was very hilly. I didn't feel like I was struggling during the run, but afterward I just felt very wiped out and a bit sore. I took a short nap in the afternoon and also went to bed early, and I feel pretty good this morning. It's just a bit alarming to feel THAT TIRED after a run. Maybe I am coming down with something? Maybe it has to do with the time of the month? Who knows...

Okay, so back to heavier lifting this am! I am going to do Chest and Shoulders today - not sure which series I am going to use yet - maybe Pure Strength?

PS I have been doing planks like crazy ever since my compliment the other day, LOL, and my core is SO SORE!

Better get moving - gotta be at court at 8 am - 100 kiddos on the docket for underage drinking!!

becky, what wo are you doing?

i felt awesome all day after my 18miler y-day. this am i was quite stiff, so i did some core and stretching. will ride the bike for a bit to loosen up, but mainly rest. i hope this week brings some job resukts. i got really down and homesick last night. almost caved to the major major munchies, but i resisted!! i feel great for 3 really clean days in a row. let this be number 4! back in a while
 
Nina- I did CLX burn circuit 1 and 30 min TM run/walk. Will add on planks.
High 5 on the clean eats !!!

Morning!

I'm moving slow today-the combination of TOO much sleep and a rainy day. No workout yesterday:( Pretty much did nothing-all the running around during the week did me in! Today will be upper body-either P90X Chest/Back or S&H Chest/Back. Dance this afternoon-gotta figure out what to have for dinner at the studio.

Angie, Insanity on 3 hours of sleep?! You're a machine!

Katie, great run!! I wish I had the desire to go that far, but no. I am going to follow your lead and get back to doing lots of planks-they always get me! hello clean and tidy ladies....

i would love to join your checkin. i was checking in with kate and lisa and others over at mamas/postpartum for the last year or so. my weight loss counter is below -- my goals are to lose the weight i gained quickly and regain the strength i lost quickly during my last pregnancy. little one is now 1 year... no excuses, just need to find what will work for me this time as it is clearly not what worked in the past.

clean eating is a bit of a mystery to me. i have read many different things. for now, it seems that chemical and additive free foods are working for me, helping to keep me at least not gaining and/or feeling bloated like earlier postpartum. and the simpler the recipe, the better. i looooooooooooove to cook and bake for my family (dh, ods 15 yrs, and new ds 1yr). been trying to keep our dinner recipes simple and clean (ish?) but i would love some suggestions from all of you! with baking, i am pretty good at just not eating what i bake. i pack it up for the big guys to take for work/school, send it to neighbors, etc.

what else to tell... i am currently unemployed so a SAHM, husband is military, we are just outside boston...

would it okay for me to join you?

Hi Everyone!

Sorry I did not make it back yesterday. I did some things around the house and finished a book. Now it is time to catch up on my magazines. This morning has been busier than I anticipated which is good. Hopefully the rest of the day will stay busy. This morning was my fit test and Max Intensity Circuit. I didn't do that well on my fit test - I think because my muscles were so tight I needed a longer warmup. I did really well with Max Intensity Circuit so maybe it is getting better for me.

Wendy, welcome to the group and I am jealous that you are good about not eating what you bake. I love to bake but I don't because I eat it.
Kate, I would love to babysit but I am stuck at work.
Klaudia, I have heard about this but some people who got preview discs gave it mixed reviews.
Angie, hope you get some rest today.
Katie, sorry your run killed you. Do you normally run hills?
Nina, great job not caving to the munchies last night!

Wendy welcome to our group. That's amazing to me that you can bake and not eat it too. It seems to me you understand what clean eating is. I always feel better when I eat 100% clean (nothing process) but it is not always easy because I work part time with crazy hours. What kind of workouts do you like to do most? I love weight training but need more cardio. My name is Robin and I have two teen kids (girl and boy). I live in NC.

Kate yes using my tower, did you put yours together yet?

Colleen if you have doms you know you are not 100 % ready. catch up on my magazines...me too. I feel like I'm wasting money when I don't read all of my mags.

I'm a high school English teacher; been doing Cathe's workouts for about 5 years and Tosca Reno for two weeks.

I'm rapidly finding out it's all about the EATING! Isn't it??

I admit I lurked on your thread for a few weeks while figuring out about the Clean-Eating diet.

I feel better already from all this clean food.


I did Cathe's Double Cardio from her Higher Intensity Step-- 4-Day Split series Saturday night. Feeling Great and ready to see my students!
 
Kate - Julia has the most gorgeous blue eyes! She is a doll! Same here, tons of errands and so little time. We should swap babysitting favors, lol!

Angie - Rest up and relax. I had hardly any sleep last week when Pomai was stuffy. I had to carry her so she would be upright and able to breathe which meant little sleep for me.

Robin - LOL about Shaun T. How's the work schedule this week?

Katie - 8 miles is awesome! Maybe it's just been awhile since you ran that far so you felt wiped? Good job on the planks!

Nina - What cute kiddos you have and a rockin' upper body! Hang in there with the job situation.

Colleen - I just borrowed couple books from the library that I am determine to finish, lol. How often do you take those fit tests?

Klaudia - Your life sounds so much like mine except I told dd no Nutcracker this year. She was okay with it. Every year I keep saying "next year" but I promised her for sure next year I will let her do the Nutcracker. Auditions were on Saturday and our schedule was just waaaaay too crazy. Plus we have to commit for Thanksgiving weekend for rehearsals and they don't know if the kids will do one of the shows or all three. I'm okay with one, but I don't know about doing all three. It all would depend on how many kids showed up at auditions. You're such a super mom, kudos to you!

Wendy - Hi!!!! So good to see you here! I am on such a rollercoaster with the eating. For me, the leaner the better but if it's not processed than it's still okay even if it's a little fatty like steak, just in small portions kwim? I struggle with white carbs every now and then, but whole grains are considered "clean" to me. These ladies are a great inspiration and support. You'll like it here! Any more yoga classes lately?

Hi Anne, Becky!

Got my run in this am already. I got up early with the kids and went running. It was a little hard getting in the groove that early since I'm used to runs either in the later morning or late afternoon, but overall it was pretty good. Planning on doing shoulders and biceps tonight. Breakfast done, kashi cereal. Fell off the clean wagon big time yesterday. My calories were pretty in check, but what they consisted of were baaaaaad. Too much fat. Can we say cake for lunch? Leftover cake from my sister's bday celebration on Saturday. Back on track today.
