Cruel dog breeder

I am not going to name names but here it goes, I bought a dog from a so called good breeder, it took me a month to get her, and then when I got the dog it wasn't the dog I bought!!! and didn't mail the papers so I had to pet the dog out to a really good home but I paid $2000 for this puppy. I am still so miffed that I am turning her into the AKC for bad breeding practice, and to make things more sad the dog was not in great shape, and is very scared to be with people. she has been kenneled and not socialized!! how someone breeders can be this cruel to animals and people who buy them makes me sick. Just for the sake of money it is the dog that suffers, I didn't return the dog because I felt it was more humane to place the dog with a good family.
 
Sorry that you experienced this. If you don't mind my asking was the breeder from Utah? If so, I would call KSL. Just my two cents.
 
Didn't you have a contract? If you paid $ 2,000 for that dog I would think you bought it for breeding, if you didn't get the dog you contracted for and didn't get the papers, I would think you have a recourse and would be able to get your money back or at least a partial refund.

However, for the sake of other people, I would name names!!!! I think there are some really good breeders out there and they get hurt by the bad ones too.

Did you contact them? And if you did, what did they say?

Puppy mills are a dime a dozen and are not regulated. The dogs are not socialized at all and some never set foot on grass. I am not surprised the dog you got was traumatized. You did a very good thing by NOT returning the dog to the breeder. Breeders (the bad ones) will kill dogs in a heartbeat. This breeder is obviously not as reputable as you heard. Most of them aren't, especially the ones that do it out of their houses (but some are!!).

Maybe you could seek out a breed-specific rescue group or go to the shelter? I realize a lot of people want a specific breed, but you would be surprised what you can find at the shelter or through a rescue group.

I'm sure you had an interesting conversation with the "breeder". What did he/she say about the mix up?

Poor litle dog. I'm happy you found her a good home.
 
I e-mailed the breeder the two conflicting pictures and then she NOW tells me she messed up on the age and she is almost 4 months and going through the uglies, but from the two pictures I have and have sent to a very good breeder agrees that is not the same dog, I won't get my money back, because she will come up with tons more lies, but with me complaining to AKC about her she can lose her AKC rights, but that won't stop her from breeding. Her kennel name is "Lil Darlins pomeranians" and her name is Gina. I just wish someone can close her down before she hurts someone else the way she hurt me. Just makes me sick that it is the dogs who suffer from her sick ways of breeding and selling puppies. I didn't get her out of KSL. I don't place to many of my dogs there, I have a website that I sell my puppies from. I don't have pictures on it yet,

I meant call the tv station, KSL. They are the station who ran the bulldog in Richfield story.
