Still no workout and I'm still sick with the flu. I see you guys have checked in good for you.


Debbie- WTG with B & G that is a good one. It does have a lot of variety with two different ab workouts plus standing and floor work for those legs. Its a killer I should think of getting that one out soon its been a while. Glad you had a good workout today, that's great. How's the shoulder? How's your mom?

Belinda- Glad you got the MRI results back and its great news its not your back!!! Phew!! I wonder if its a nerve thing or fibromyalga sp? I do hope your foot pain take a vacation and allow things to heal without the pain. Good news on your MRI. I wouldn't workout out until you get the ok from the doctor and this darned pain in the foot goes away or gets solved. Take care and I'm sending you healing and pain free hugs& wishes.;):)

Roxie- Bravo on your workout today of Xtrain CB&S, 100 Squats and a 1.9 mile walk outside that is awesome!!! You go girlfriend!!;):)

Today was Cardio Coach #4 - another one I don't really care for but I always have a good workout and a good calorie burn when I do it. That is true for today. Had a great workout.

Dh and I are going to try and go to the lake today but its suppose to be windy and only in the 70's going to be chilly but as long as the sun is out we want to get out there as much as we can. I will do 105 squats today and then tomarrow I will make up my workout.

Debbie-I think you will really like this one alot of people say they don't feel it in there quads because she only uses 8lb wts and they are compound moves but I felt them.

Good Morning,

I did Tabaticise 1 plus warmup and cooldown/stretch, 110 squats, XT Burn Sets Bis & Tris, and 30 minutes on the TM. I am all caught up for the week.

Nora-we did have fun thank you, get to feeling better soon.
 
No workout yesterday or today. I slept wrong on Wednesday night and I have a kink in my neck. Didn't want it to get any worse. I feel better today but still feel it. I hate it when that happens.

Yesterday my mom had a follow up MRI appointment for her brain surgery. We get to the hospital at 9 for the MRI and then we had an appointment with her Neurosurgeon at 11:30. We sat in a little patient room (me, my mom and my brother) for 2 hours before I went out to see what the heck was going on. The nurses couldn't tell me why we were waiting so long. I told them we would wait until 2 and if the doctor didn't show up by then we were leaving and he could just call us with the results of the MRI. 2:10 goes by and still no doctor. We up and left. That is just wrong to make people wait that long for a follow-up appointment that wouldn't take longer than 10 minutes anyways. Why can they treat people like that? We had the nurse almost in tears which I felt bad about because it isn't her fault, but come on. That is no way to run a practice. We've waited this long for him before, too, but had to wait because it was for her surgery. That was just bull. I'm still mad about it.
 
Long lost me again!

Sorry!.... I was serving on a trial last week and lasted into Monday, and then I had a migraine for 3 days. Been somehow sticking with my workouts, though.

Mostly following Cathe's October Rotation, mixing her new workouts with Xtrain weights and Crossfire & TTM

Today I made up for missing a full workout on Monday (I was at court all day) and did the full Rockout Knockout workout. It was good! Fun music. Definitley not as intense as KPC or Kickmax. But the first part was more intense cardio drills, then less intense cardio punching drills, then punching/kickbox combos...much less intense. I liked it!

Belinda: Sorry to hear about you pain and discomfort. So if your MRI is negative, then your back is fine? And the pain is all PF/Bone spur? Not sure what that means...

Debbie: That is horrible about the wait in the doctor's office. I would have been quite angry and would have caused a huge scene!!! I hope the doctor called your mom by now?..... and your poor shoulder> I seriously wonder if you have like an arthritis or something that settled into your shoulder.

Nora: oh you poor thing with the flu!!!! Take care there and hope you feel better soon!!!!!

Roxie: Great job on keeping up with those workouts!! Are you doing a rotation? I did KCM's new one on Saturday I think. It was awesome!! Loved it!! I just did the first one, not the second one yet. The punching stuff was a lot of fun!!!
 
Hi girls,

Just a quick update: I just come from the doctors. I have this nasty cough since Monday, I am also breathing kinda hard and I have wheezing in my chest:( On top with everything else that's going on right now, I caught Pneumonia:(:( The radiologist told me they seeing lots of cases lately. It's going around:mad: I don't have a fever, which is a good thing. Just coughing my brains out and my chest hurt.I am on antibiotic, cough syrup with Codeine and an inhaler I have to use every 4 hours. I am not even gonna try to workout, until I feel 100% better. I am falling apart:(

Tuesday I have an appointment with the Neurology. Hopefully they will figure out what's wrong with my foot. I had my share off being sick this year, I had enough.

I will be back later with personals.

Hi everyone! Today I did Cardio Coach #1 and had a really good workout. I ran .25 miles more than I usually do for this workout so I'm happy with that! I had a hard time getting my HR up and it seemed like this workout was really easy. I guess that's a good thing!

Debbie- Hi! You guys are giving Monday mornings notice and takin' names. Great workout today with Cardio Coach #1. Although this was a easy workout for you running on the TM and all you did go .25 miles farther in the same amount of time, so bravo!! You are getting faster and more efficient at running WTG!! Of course, I say this a bit envious since its been ages since I've run on my TM. Now that I have the desire to do so I can't with my ankle, or rather I'm afraid to try with a raised bump albeit smaller but still there on the top where the front of the ankle sock touches it. I know its a weird injury. Oh well, you and Roxie are so awesome today with your workouts, WTG and high fives all around!;):):cool:

Today I did the leg work from 4DS. Haven't touched those DVD's in ages. It was an ok workout, not one of Cathe's best, but it did the job.

Nora - Glad you are feeling better and back at it! Nice job yesterday girlfriend! :)

Roxie - How are you liking the Xtrain workouts?

I did Lean Leg and Abs today and 30 minutes on the TM. Its to cold to walk outside.

Debbie-I like the upper body work and I don't mind the Tabatas or the Low Impact workout but I don't like the leg workout it has a dread factor for me so I do the new one and Supercuts is another one I don't like to do and I sub KCMs Boxing for Hard Strikes, but I totally recommend all the upper body workouts.

I just finished today's workout and will now check in.

Here's today's workout:

Rockout Knockout = 56 Min

I did like Rockout Knockout in its entirety and feel it will be easier to get the punching sequences with practice. I used my Les Mills Combat Gloves for the non boxing glove portion and used 1 pound weighted gloves for the boxing glove part. I found it very unnatural to catch on to some of the kicking such as front kick and two doubles all on the same leg. That just never felt right to me for some reason. The punching sequences seemed a bit off to me with the leg stance and punches it just didn't flow for me. I can see that it did for Cathe and crew so maybe its just me or I need more practice. I love boxing and martial arts kick boxing type stuff. For example, I love and absolutely love Les Mills Combat there is a very cool authentic feel to it and it all seems to just flow for me. I started my background in kick boxing way back with Billy blanks who is a martial artist and found his videos so fun. I love boxing videos with Michael Olijide Jr, and KCM etc.. So thats where I'm coming from with this. I do have and enjoy Cathe's KPC and her kickboxing one on 4DS as well. I do find Rockout Knockout to have a huge fun factor I just need to practice it more and love, love the music. This workout has a fun energetic vibe, its good but I think I'll just need more practice with it. Just thought I'd share my thoughts on it with you all.

Roxie- Great workout today for you with Lean Leg and Abs today and 30 minutes on the TM, that's a great sounding workout. Good for you to have that one in the books for today, bravo. I see that you mentioned you liked parts of Leaner Legs but didn't care for other parts of it. So was it the floor leg work that you didn't like? I haven't done that one yet so I was wondering. I didn't realize there was some upper body work in Leaner Legs, huh? I will have to preview that one before I do it. I really love XTrain and the only one I think is not a fave but I will do that workout and that is HardStrikes. I think there were too many jumping jacks for me sort of overkill on that move so I did jump rope moves when I was sick of the jumping jacks. I love all the weight work, premixes on everything, Supercuts, Tabatacise, and All Out Low Impact HiTT. Thanks for the info and good job on your workout today:D;)

Debbie- Good job with Cathe's 4DS Leg work, its a good short leg workout. Its especially good coming off the cardio which is nice when you don't have alot of time to squeeze in leg weight workout after cardio. I like the abs on that one too. I have to admit I haven't done that dvd in a while but I recall that I did like the shorter premix options for weight work on different parts. Nicely done today!!;)

Hi Girls!

Yesterday I did AOLIHiiT from Xtrain, I did just the floor and step segments, I pooped out after that. Working weekend and the flu shot knocked me down a few knotches!!!... Today I did Burn Sets Upper Body Premix.

I also started eating Whole30 today. Primarily because I want to see if it will make me feel better, headache wise, tummy-ache wise and more energy. ANd losing a few pounds would bonus!!!

Debbie: Nice to shake it up a bit with 4DS!

Roxie: the 90 day Xtrain rotation is a good one! I always give myself leeway to sub workouts or do premixes too.

Nora: Glad you're feeling better. I know you're probably still regaining your strength though. The flu knocks you out for a while!!!... I did get KCM's new one, I have done the first workout from that one and REALLY REALLY liked it!!!! I also got all of Cathe's new ones, except the bike one (I dont' have a bike). I have liked them all so far, as well. ... I know what you mean about the double kick in the Rockout Knockout combo. A double kick feels so un natural to me too. Not a fan!!!!.

I did To The Max, premix with everything minus the Compound Legs. :eek: Yowza!!!

Whole30 is a eating plan for 30 days. It's essentially Paleo. It's supposed to help symptoms of fatigue/unexplained aches/pains/headaches/tummyaches (I have all of those!) I even read about a guy with Plantar Fasciitis that said he had tried everything for his PF, and then found that Whole30 helped it where nothing else did. Not sure how true that is, but it surely can't hurt. Another benefit is ... weight loss! Of course, I could use that too!

Here's the website. There is also a book, I haven't read it. Just got the info from the website, and some eating ideas online. There is TONS of ideas online if you google Whole30. People blog on it all over the place.

It's hump day! I just finished today's workout following Cathe's October rotation but cut it down to 5 day workout rather than a six. I'll just check in now.

Here's today's workout:

XTrain-D6- Cardio Leg Blast = 56 Min
MV= 7.50
CB= 573

That's the first time I've done this one in its entirety, and that was fun!!

X10- Low Impact = 26 Min
MV= 8.0
CB= 284

This is my second workout ever from X10 that I've done and it was awesome. I think X10 is amazing and worth every penny. I love the individual workouts so far and the premixes and times. There is a big variety within the workouts its just a brilliant workout and so time and calorie burning efficient, love it!!:D

Total calories burned = 857:eek::cool::D

Chris- Nice workout with To The Max and that premix is no joke. I know I thought, hey it says no compound legs its should be a bit easier than the others, wrong! IT still kicks your butt, no mercy there, LOL!! Great job with your workout WTG!! Oh wow, I haven't heard of Whole30 but its sounds interesting and if it can help with your headaches etc... that would be awesome and help you feel better over all that is a fab bonus. Keep us informed about how Whole30 is helping, and good luck with it I hope you have great results.;):D
