Hallo girls,

I am done with my Legs and Calves wo! Had a great workout today. Loving working legs.


LEGS:
Squats - 65#/15 reps - 2 sets (warmup)

Squats - 105#/6 reps - 3 sets, up 10#
Squats - 65#/25 reps, 8#

Leg Press Station - 180#/6 reps - 3 sets, up 30#
Leg Press Station - 105#/25 reps, up 5#

Leg Extensions - 60#/6 reps - 3 sets, up 5#
Leg Extensions - 36#/25 reps, up 1#

Deadlifts - 70#/6 reps - 3 sets, up 5 #
Deadlifts - 45/ 25 reps, same as last time!

Lying Leg Curls - 65#/6 reps - 3 sets, up 5#
Lying Leg Curls - 30#/25 reps, up 4#

CALVES:
Standing Barbell Calf Raises - 100#/25 reps - 4 sets, up 5#

Today was Legs and Calves and I had an ok workout. My right knee was really bothering me so I was really careful with these exercises. It's feeling ok right now. I'm afraid one of these days I'll need surgery on it. I probably should get it looked at at least.

2 minutes rest between each set except only enough rest to lower weights for the 15 repper sets.

LEGS:
Squats - 65#/12 reps - 2 sets (warmup)
Squats - 125#/6 reps - 3 sets
Squats - 95#/15 reps
***Went up 5# with both the 6 and 15 rep sets.

Leg Press Station - 200#/6 reps - 3 sets
Leg Press Station - 150#/15 reps
***Went up 5# with the 6 and 15 rep set. Love this station, I'm so glad I got it. Money well spent!

Leg Extensions - 95#/6 reps - 3 sets
Leg Extensions - 70#/15 reps
***Went up 5# for both the 6 and 15 rep sets. Was a little worried about this exercise but it seems the pushing motions hurt worse then the extensions.

Elevated Deadlifts - 105#/6 reps - 3 sets
***Went up 5#. Felt like I could have done about 3 more reps. Again, I'm shocked I'm up this high with deads.

Lying Leg Curls - 60#/6 reps - 3 set
Lying Leg Curls - 45#/15 reps
***Up 3# with the 6 rep set and 2# for the 15 rep set.

CALVES:
Gym Style Calf Raises
***Didn't feel like doing barbell calf raises, plus I always get way sore with GS.

Did the stretch from GS Legs as well.

Debbie - Holy crap, on the leg press! Impressive weights, girl! I had some guy at the gym help me today, I couldn't release the brake for the leg press today. I had 180# pressing against me, it took like a few min before he got the brake on:mad: He said good thing you have strong legs, lol:eek:
 
I chose sleep over a run this AM and it totally did the trick. MUCH MUCH needed extra sleep. As you'll see form my note to Nora, my sis let me sleep last night which was a relief. So anyway, I'm on tap for a nice run tonight after work which I'm TOTALLY looking forward to since it's still really oddly warm here this week. My sis Jo (who has been sooo absent from the forums!!) is joining me and Scott on our run, so that'll be fun. Something to look forward to today :)

Belinda and Debbie - holy moly! I know I keep saying this, but damn girls, those are some intense weights!! Way to go!!

Nora - caught up on your post last night, you are so sweet and always have such good advice. Thank you! Things are going a bit better with Auntie duty, my sis decided she'd take all the night feedings last night so I got a good night's sleep, much needed!! It is really great having them around though, such good bonding time with the little one. She is a doll. Even if she makes me sleepy ;)

Just wanted to stop in and report on my weight workout yesterday:

TS#1
Flat bench chest flyes - 3x6 - 26's
Pullovers - 3x6 - 32#
Squats - 2x16 - 40# (so freaking light, but somehow sore insert blush)

TS#2
Flat bench chest press - 3x8 - 30's (really felt like I could have done 35's with spot)
Underhand rows - 3x8 - 30's
Plie squats - 2x16 - 40#

TS#3
Incline chest flye - 3x10 - 25's
Double-arm rows - 3x10 - 25's (should have gone 26's at least)
Deadlifts - 2x10 - 25's (dbs)

TS#4
Incline chest press - 3x12 - 25's (should have gone 26's)
Rear flyes - 3x12 - 12's
Rear slide back lunges - 2x12 - 12's

Calf raises - 2x30 - 25's
Weighted donkey kicks - 2x20 - 8#

Today is going to have to be a rest day for me. I really thought I could swing getting my workouts done before Seattle (leaving at 3:20 CST) but I'm just pooped. So rest today and hopefully I can con someone into running with me tomorrow morning ;)

Debbie - You might have the doc look at your knee - but it's so hard to make that appt and go when it's not always hurting (or for me anyway).

Belinda - nice weights lady!

Jessica - sounds like you needed that sleep above anything else. Enjoy that run this evening.

Tonite for me is TF Core 20 and Stretch 40 but I might do a different stretch I don't really like this one and I don't see a need to stretch that long.

I debated, once again, on what I should do today. A run at the park or TF 30 and a stretch. I opted for the run! Being outside at the park felt amazing and I'm so glad I did that! I run "cross country" style, and ran for 40 minutes w/ stretch. NOt sure how long that is?

Nora: I'm glad you were able to see the David Osmond interview. I found him so inspiring, like I do you!! . It just goes to show, it's HUGE to have a positive attitude and to FIGHT. You are so strong , in body and will. I have giant admiration for you! ... Yes! Turbo Jam almost seemed nostalgic compared to TF! So true! ..

Belinda: OMG, 100 #'s SQUATS? you are SUPERwoman!!!

Debbie: You are SUPERwoman too! Holy crap, AND your knee was bothering you and you still used such giancantuan weights!

Jessica: Enjoy your run later! Nice that you got to sleep through. I get one night a week I can sleep through. Otherwise, I've been up at 12am and 3am checking my son's blood sugars for the past 6 years, since he was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. I sooo appreciate that one night a week!

Roxie: How many times have you done Stretch 40? I have to say, i didn't like it so much the first time. It has actually grown on me. It took maybe 3 times for me to LIKE it. Now I really like it alot! :)

Heather: Nice job on the chest and legs yesterday! You should go lower in weights for lower body to combat the "booty issue". Right?

Melissa: Sorry for your busy day. I hate crunched days like that. where are you traveling next week?

Off to get some Halloween stuff out. My DH and boys are carving pumpkins when they get out of school today... Fun fun!!

I'm sure they are just fine, Heather! STRONG inner thighs aren't a bad thing, it's the jiggly bits I have that I'm less than enthusiastic about, personally. Running has helped a ton but there is still a wee bit more work to be done there. What were you doing to "fix" that area?? I must've missed that?

Jessica - I just can't fit my skinny jeans now :eek: I need to do a little bit more endurance based rather than low rep/high weight and add in more inner thigh work.

Chris-I have done Stretch 40 at least 4 times and it still has a dread factor for me but I am not a big fan of Yoga just can't get all the moves down and the whole when to breathe thing.

Chris - my thighs got stronger during "Operation Booty Lift" so you weren't far off LOL. I had only meant to fill out my rear end but got a little overzealous. And in all seriousness, it's not like I think I have thunder thighs or anything. It's really not that bad - I was just shocked when I couldn't fit into my skinnier jeans is all.

Oh! I thought it was your "booty", Heather! My bad! lol!.

I finished my workout for today. I thought I'd take it easy with my workout today so I didn't add on any to it.

Here's today's workout:

Turbo Fire- Fire 55 EZ Class= 57 Min
Met Value= 9.0
Calories burned= 700

STS- Ab Circuits- No Equipment Abs= 17 Min
Met Value= 4.50
Calories burned= 104

Total calories burned= 804

I just wanted to check in quick, not sure if I'm up to personals tonight.
