Crazy, strong & loving it for June!!

Good Afternoon,

I thought I checked in yesterday but I guess not. I did intervals on the elliptical yesterday and then we went to the lake and had a wonderful time. Today I went and did the elliptical again (time to find a new machine) and got new contacts that are making me sick to my stomach and giving me a headache. Dh and I are going shopping when he gets done working out.

Debbie-nice job with your workout and getting your abs worked.

Today was PLB, but I subbed in BBL's High & Tight (23 minutes) instead of the ball work at the end. HATE the ball. And ya know what? Why push myself to do soemthing I hate/dread/despise. :eek: And the band work on H&T is tough enough to work my lower body good!

Nora: Sorry about the toe. I broke my baby toe a few years ago and could not even STAND on my foot. it was horrible. Nice job on les mills! Is this your last week?

Debbie: Awesome weight work and I know you've said you love that ab workout before! Have you ever done Ab Ripper X?

Belinda: 4DS is no joke! Tough weight work after the cardio. I had wicked DOMS all last week from that one.

Roxie: Nice job on the elliptical. Will your eyes just get used to the contacts? Sounds miseable!

I just finished my workout for today. The toe is still bugging me and still sporting black,blue, and a bit of redish purple so its on the mend but still hurts and is uncomfortable. I'll just check in now.

Here's today's workout:

STS Shock Cardio: Circuit Blast= 44 Min
Met Value= 7.0
Calories burned= 421

BBL- Leandro's Secret Weapon= 20 Min
Met Value= 6.5
Calories burned= 177

I used Cathe's Orange Slide and Glide Disc for this and it was intense. Really great quick toning for lower body.

Total calories burned= 598;)

Well its going to take alot to get use to these new lenses putting them in and taking them out with a plunger.

Chris-the contacts are bifocals so I am not sure what part is the strongest so I am going to have to learn where that is.

My DH's dr. appointment went well. They took an x-ray of his hip, everything looking great. DH is cleared to drive, exercise and whatever he wants to do, except do some crazy yoga moves or running, lol. The hopital where the doc had his office wasn't gonna take an x-ray (we had to go to another place to get it done) My husband said he wasn't gonna leave until he gets an x-ray of his hip. well, he did! Now DH is excited to get into his PT again.

My workout today is: 45 min run.

Today was cardio and I did one of my Cardio Coach mixes. It's a tough one but I had a pretty good workout. Seems my endurance is sucking out again.

My run is done:D My ipod wasn't charged, my smart phone wasn't sharged:eek: so I ran without music and I don't have a clue how far I ran. I can tell you that much, had an awesome cal burn:eek: 677 cal burn. I did an interval run outside.

Tonite is another session with my PT and I am not having a good day no energy from lack of sleep and not wanting to be at work. The new contacts are a little better today then they were yesterday.

Debbie-good job with your workout.

Belinda-glad to hear DH was cleared.

Chris-I haven't had a new prescription on my contacts for over a year and my glasses three years and these are bifocals so its going to take alot of getting use to.

Thanks to the eye doctor I had to cancel my PT session which means I didn't get a workout in at all today plus he charged me and my insurance company more money which is crap because he charged my insurance in Dec. for a pair of contacts I never got because they didn't fit right.

Nora-good job with your workouts your a fiend.
 
My scheduled changed for the summer at work and I can workout a little later now. I seriously liked working out a little later in the morning rather than at 5:30. I'm going to have to rethink my workouts when I go back to the early work schedule. 5:30 is just way too early for me anymore. I might have to try for after work and just make myself do it. I felt great this morning working out. And I had an excellent workout. Today I worked Legs & Calves.

1 minute rest between each set.

Hi there!

I had Jury Duty yesterday, thus was very busy and I guess didn't check in (thought I did?!?!)

Yesterday I did Afterburn. Today was STS Total Body Upper Premix and then did Turbo Fire's HiiT 30 (instead of 40/20... hate butt kicks and did not feel like using the step).

I was already tired and my right low back/ass is sore/tight. Couldn't even do a plank for the burpees (had to sub just jumping up).

Belinda: Good news on your DH! Over that hump , must feel like such a relief for you both!... Nice job on the interval run yesterday!

Debbie: That's awesome you can get up later. I'm so needing summer vacation now, getting up at 6am is really wearing on me too. I'm done. WICKED big weights there! Nice job!

Nora: You did LIS Cardio Supersets PLUS the premix PLUS HiiT?!?! I feel like such a slacker!!! Wow.

Roxie: HOpe you get used to the contacts soon! I bet it feels weird. ... Hope you feel better once you get a workout in AND a good stretch!

I just finished today's workout and feel great, wow cathe sure gets ya good with Slide n Glide and those discs and firewalker bands for sure. I'll just check in now.

here's today's workout:

LIS-Slide 'n Glide= 52 Min
Met Value= 7.0
Calories burned= 497

Used Cathe's Orange Discs and Green Firewalker band, oh man did she get me good, love it and my knees were happy too. Now if my wrists could just be happy with those burpees, mountain climbers, and push ups. I can do them that's not the issue its just my wrists will bug me about it and I have to stop and pop my wrists, then I can go on until its an issue again then repete. I can't go down as far on pushups as cathe and company but I do the best I can. Since I did insanity a couple of years ago I learned there how to do pushups from my toes and I can do them just can go as low as other people is all. Still, I'm happy for the progress and thrilled I can do as much as I do.

Total Body Stretching-Ball 1= 13 Min
Met Value= 4.50
Calories burned= 80

This was a great stretch for me and really felt awesome especially in glutes and IT band.

Total calories burned= 577;)

Debbie- I know what you mean about having to change your workout times because of a big change in your work schedule. Glad you had a great killer workout today with 4Day Split Calf work and girlfriend those were some seriously kick butt weights you used. Awesome job and I know I for one wished I could lift what you do, that's so fantastic, but I can work toward improving what I do lift. You do set the bar high which is awesome to inspire me. You are awesome girlfriend, WTG with your workout today!:D;):D

Roxie- oh boy, sorry to hear that your new contacts are making you sick because they are so different with being bifocals. Yikes, I know that a change in eye wear prescription can definitely give you headaches and that is no fun. If the headaches, and general yucky feeling because of this doesn't subside I'd suggest letting your optometrist know. I know lack of sleep can make me feel like I am not into working out but I still push myself to do it. I feel like I have a obligation to myself to give it my all in workouts each day that I workout, so I won't let myself slack off and skip it. I have to be in major physical pain, I can't leave the bathroom sick, or in the hospital are the exception and acceptable reasons to not workout. Otherwise I'm doin' it and I hate that person in the mirror and I have to change the way she looks for the better because its a mission now. But that's my issue with the way my body looks and resigning myself that I have to do some radical thinking, workingout, and diet wise to change that. I can do it but it will take every ounce of determination and positive thinking to do it. One day I hope to go shopping and look in the mirror and not feel the urge to throw up and leave in tears and defeated. Its a goal maybe even make friends with that person in the mirror and like the new and improved way I will look in the future. Its a dream, but one worth working towards. ;)

Chris- Jury duty yesterday, wow well thank you for doing your duty. Nice workout yesterday with AfterBurn. Then today you did STS Total Body Upper Premix and then did Turbo Fire's HiiT 30, sounds like you did a kick butt workout both days, WTG!!! Oh, and there's nothing wrong with modifying the moves at all. Do what you need to on a given day to avoid injury and safely do the moves as you can best for that day. The phrase work smarter not harder especially wrings true with exercise and workouts. I have a mamogram schedule for Tuesday and they always make me nervous especially now with some tenderness going on. So, I'm praying about it. Belinda- Hugs and Blessings that everything went well at your DH's doctor's appointment and even gave him the green light on exercise except the few types he mentioned that might not be too hip friendly. Tonite I went to the gym and did the elliptical even though my eyes are blood shot and my vision is distorted. I took the contacts out at 2:00 today just couldn't wear them anymore. I forgot my HR monitor but I went 2.55 miles and burned estimated 215 cals.

Nora-thanks for the encouraging words and some day we will both reach our dream bodies.

Roxie - good job last night at the gym.

Nora - thanks for your kind words on DH. We both are happy with the good news. Nice job on S&G yesterday. My wrists are not happy with all those burpees, mountain climbers and all those push ups.

Chris - in Germany you don't have to go to Jury Duty, bet you are glad it's over, hah? Good job, on AB..that's a tough one.

Debbie - how are your legs after that leg workout? Good job!

Hi Girls!

Today was STS Total Body Lower Body Premix. Added in my own warm up and done some GOOD back and leg stretches at the end. My right low back/buttock are still very tight/sore. Took it easy on the deadlifts, actually went a bit lighter on all the weights since my lower body is still sore from this week!

Belinda: Nice job with 4DS this week! Hope you enjoyed !!

Nora: I haven't done slide n glide in a long time! Sounds like fun! I have an issue with my right wrist and tingling if I'm in plank for too long too. Good thoughts for you on the mammogram. A little thing to maybe calm your mind. Usually if something is tender/painful it's non malignant (non cancerous). It's the painless lumps that are more worrisome. Hang in there this weekend!

Roxie: Nice going on getting to the gym last night! The contacts sound very bothersome!! what a PIA, huh?

DH and I spent the day at the lake again for the last time his sister is coming home. I went to the gym and did the elliptical and then did the circuit that PT made up for me. I have decided the contacts are going back Monday and it will be glasses.
 
Hi girls!;)

I finished my workout today and that includes Les Mills Pump, so I'm happy I made the whole 90 days. I felt I did get my arms more defined and my thighs feels stronger and firmer, but the scale didn't seem to reflect the changes the way I'd hoped. I love all the workouts and felt the barbell workouts were awesome and very well done, no complaints at all. I just felt that I needed way more cardio than it said to do is all and I think I'd have had better results on the scale wise had there been more cardio. I was afraid to go too hardcore with cardio as the program shows to do walking or some sort of cardio to substitute. The barbel program is top notch high reps low weight at its best with excellent instructors all using great form and stressing doing so. The cardio offered as an extra purchase was great but I have carpet in my little workout room and that makes some moves a little different. Next time I do this program I'll need to pair it with more intense cardio say Cathe, Turbo Fire, or even Insanity. The problem is making sure to keep the workouts under 1:15-1:20 min in length and pairing them in a way that makes it doable. For example, on long weight workout days of an hour or close to it keeping cardio short like TF HiiT 20, or 15min maybe. I'll have to think on it since I've never made up a rotation for myself before. Anywho, I finished working out today in 90 degree heat no less. My MS fatigue is definitely kicking in big time so coordination was not at its best, but I still did it.

Here's today's workout:

STS Cardio: HiiT-40/20= 30 Min
Met Value= 10.0
Calories burned= 410

Hard Core Abs= 20 Min
Met Value= 5.0
Calories burned= 137

Total calories burned= 547

Well, after completing a 90 day rotation like this I really feel I need to recharge my batteries before I take on another rotation of any kind. So, I'm thinking of taking one week off for sure and depending how I feel maybe a second week as well. I still plan to check in with you guys, so I'll be at check ins and probably much earlier since I won't be working out next week.
