I just finished today's workout and feeling it too, LOL!! I'll just check in now.

Here's today's workout:

Les Mills Pump- Pump & Shred= 48 Min
Met Value= 6.50
Calories burned= 426

I used #15 BB for warm up set, Legs track used #35 BB, Chest track used #20 BB, Back track used #30 BB, Shoulder track used #7 dbs.

Intensity- HiiT (Lo) + Boot Camp= 36 Min
Met Value= 7.0
Calories burned= 339

Total calories burned= 765:eek::cool:

Oops, my bad I forgot to come back for personals last night, I'm sorry. I just finished today's workout and it was a killer I had not done Intensity in its entirety in a while. As usual Cathe kicked my butt!;)

Here's today's workout:

Met Value= 7.0
Calories burned= 545

Bob Harper's Totally Ripped Core- Core Bonus= 12 Min
Met Value= 5.0
Calories burned= 82

Yep, I had Cathe and Bob double team me today, so stick a fork in me I'm done, LOL!!! It was a great workout definitely no phoning this one in that's for sure. That's it for me today girls. I hope you all are having a great Saturday!;) I'll see ya all at Monday's check in, I think so anyways.

I did 2 workouts with Cathe and all the RT'ers via live stream. I did the BC than I did AT/Barre. I was sweating buckest with BC. Loved AT/Barre too, got a nice burn in my triceps and lower body. This is so much fun, following and working out with everyone on the RT:p I feel like I am there!


DH is getting fet up with me:p he said " next year you will go:eek: LOL!


Tomorrow I am not sure, what's on the RT schedule? But whatever it is, I will do it too:eek:

Nora - Bob and Cathe:p You go, girl! Glad they both kicked your butt today. BTW, nice workout yesterday.

This morning I went to the gym and did intervals on the TM then I did the wt machines. DH and I went to the lake today since it was so hot.

Belinda-sounds like you are having fun.

Not sure if I will workout today? I am tired from all those workouts this weekend. Yesterday I did the RT via lives stream BC, loved it! Have some nice doms going this morning too.

How was your weekend and what are your plans today?

Hi everyone! I had a great vacation with my dh and now it's time to get back on the fitness train. Please bare with me, this is a long post:

I've decided to change my fitness venture - at least for the next 6 months if not longer.

I'm tired of being in pain - period.

I'm tired of having sore muscles, knots all over and tight everything.

I'm tired of having no range of motion.

I'm tired of not being able to turn my head from side to side.

I'm starting to feel my weight training is doing more damage than it is good. I feel there is a major change I need to make to start feeling better.

I've been reading a lot about the Yoga Practice and lifestyle. I've been reading a yoga forum now for the past week and am really intrigued with all I've read. My only concern is getting some kind of rotation in place where I can get a little cardio in as well. I feel cardio is a needed staple in any fitness endeavor.

So starting today I will do some type of yoga workout every day (Mon-Fri) and cardio twice a week. I go back to work next week so I need to figure out when I will be doing my Yoga practice. Cardio will have to be in the morning before work because once I get food in my system I can't jog without a stabbing pain in my side. Yoga, however, might be ok to do in the evening, but again I worry about my dinner and how long I should wait to do my practice. :confused:

There are so many stipulations with true Yoga that it's sort of mind boggling for me. Most Yogians are vegan or vegitarian. The only meat I eat is chicken and I really don't eat that much anymore. However, I love my dairy, especially eggs, but there are Yogians that eat dairy so I think I'm ok there. Most of what I eat is what Yogians eat, though, so I'm pleased about that. I already try to eat clean, whole foods so that won't be such a change for me. I bought some Quinoa this week and have 2 recipes to try. I hope I like it.

This morning I did Yoga Max by Cathe. I thought it was a pretty good workout (she hasn't made many yoga workouts) and I was sweating pretty good with it. I wish she would have added a few more balance poses, she only did one. I can't hold the poses as long as she can yet, and with some poses, such as Plow, I can't even do other than the very basic move. My goal is to take my time and just get my body to a point where it's flexible and feels good to move around again. My ultimate goal is to be able to do Brian Kest's 3rd yoga workout on his 3 workout DVD that I have. I have never even attempted that workout. I'm hoping in 6 months I'll be able to do most of the poses on there that I feel are safe to do.

So that is my plan for the extended future. No weight training at all. :eek: This is huge for me, but I want to see how my body responds to this and hopefully I won't have the knots and tightness anymore.

I've been riding my motorcycle for a while now and the pain in my shoulder/neck area hasn't been a problem. When I was doing weights AND riding is when it was really bad. So I'm starting to think my bike really had nothing to do with this other than possibly irritating it and pushing it over the edge.

So wish me well. I hope I can do this without getting bored but once I start he practice I feel so good and focused. I love the way I feel afterwards as well. I feel so energized right now.

My PT is back from vacation so I will be getting my butt kicked by her tonite. I have had a migraine since yesterday so not a good day for me.

Debbie-sounds like and awesome plan and it will help you become more in tune with your body.

Hi girls,

I won't be working out today or tomorrow. I broke my toe on my left foot. Its the toe next to the baby toe, so I'm trying to get the swelling down on it and be able to walk on it before I attempt working out. I'll try to come back later for personals later. Have a great day girls!;)

Hi Girl!!

Back from vacation and ready to get back to eating and exercising right! Once I hit vacation mode, even though I may have good intentions of making better choices, I don't. I let it ALL go and enjoyed EVERY single morsel of food and relaxation. Oddly enough, I'm up maybe only 2 or 3 lbs the most. :eek: Not bad! ...

I'm planning on doing Peak Fit Challenge this week , and seeing what/if Cathe puts out a rotation for August. Might do that OR do STS mix/match plus running. I want to get back into running. Even if only short runs.

So today was Peak Fit Pure Strength 1. And then I took Buddy for a 15 minute jog/walk. The person who took care of him while we were away obviously fed him too much!! He looks so fat!!!! :eek: So he is on double walks/runs this week with me!

Roxie: Hope you have a good workout tonight with your PT! I had a headache almost all week on vacation. It sucked!!!

Belinda: How fun you did the workouts with the RT this weekend! I wished I could have. Although, there are online videos of it still, aren't there?

Debbie: I'm so proud of you for going in another direction for your health!!! You are such a strong person to change your direction like that. Can't wait to hear how you change and evolve!!! it will be good, I can tell!!!

Nora: You broke another toe? what happened??/!?!? that freakin HURTS like HELL!!! Take it easy, ice ice ice and rest!!!!! ((hugs))

Took the dogs for a short walk last night, that's was it!

We have to return the elliptical. The tech came yesterday, to put on the screw on the fligh wheel. He told us the fligh wheel is bent, the handles are on the wrong side (I noticed the first time I was on it) one on the foot padels was set/stuck on a 15 incline. No wonder, I was huffing and puffing after 15 min on that thing? Also couldn't get into iFit. The tech wanted to sent someone else out for the computer, I was like hell no!! I don't have time for for that. From my understanding, the elliptical was dropped when they delivered it. Way to many problems right up front for me, I told my husband I don't want it anymore. The tech had the nerves to leave all the pieces on floor next to the bowflex?? WTH??? I told him, you better clean up that mess and put that ellipctial back together. I wasn't so nice...if you know what I mean. Not only I can't workout on the maschine, but he wanted to mess my workout room up. I He is dealing with the wrong person! I was so ticked off yesterday!! Sorry for venting!

BTW, I ordered the X-Train,To the Max (10 DVDs + downloads)/ Cross Fire and some new weight lifting cloves yesterday I couldn't resist on ordering CF and TTM not after the RT workouts. Those band workouts are way to much fun.

Debbie- good for you, listen to your body. Hope all that yoga will do the trick.

Chris - welcome back! Glad you had a great vacation. I am also waiting for Cathe's new rotation. I kinda swinging it this week.

Roxie - good job yesterday.

Oh NO, Nora!! I heard there isn't anything you can do for a broken toe? I feel so bad for you (((HUGS))

Woke up today with incredible soreness. Wow, muscles I never even knew I had are sore right now. But the one big bummer is my traps are sore and I feel knots there again. But I'm not giving up, this is not the pain I was in before, this is just a knot and soreness from the muscles being stretched. I'm hoping it will go away and I'll be ok. I don't get how stretching muscles can create knots though. :confused:

So today I did some cardio and was planning on doing a half hour of yoga. Decided against the yoga. I think I did way too much yesterday. So only cardio and then I did some foam rolling on my upper back. Felt good.

I chose Cardio Coach #1 today. My heart rate seem to be high but I didn't feel like it was. My breathing was good so it must have been because I haven't done a running workout in over 6 weeks.

CARDIO STATS:
40 minutes total
4 minutes below zone
19 minutes in zone
18 minutes above zone
324 calories burned
2 miles traveled

The PT kicked my butt as usual but I must be getting stronger and my endurance must be getting better because even though we didn't work out last week I wasn't completely exhausted. We cleaned the rental property that dd and her dh lived in for the last time and now they are living with us this week while there floors get done. Tonite I will go to the gym and do the elliptical.

Belinda-that would piss me off to.

Chris-my vacation starts Saturday and I cannot wait.

Nora-hope the toe is better today.

Debbie-it is weird how much yoga really works the body but take it easy you don't want to put yourself on the no workout train again.
 
Hiya Girls!

Today was Peak Fit's Pure Cardio. It's accelerating cardio segments 8 times. No "peaks" or "intervals" though, but the end do get pretty close. I have some pretty decent DOMS from yesterday's workout, so it was hard to get moving. I'm going to walk Buddy twice today. Not sure about the run. Maybe save those for weight days.

Belinda: I looked back through the thread and saw your workout room! I am GREEN with envy!!!! Looks awesome!! My workout room is shared with a computer desk/room and my boys' stuff as well. Small. Very small. LOL!. ..... Great purchase from Cathe.com!!!! Awesome workouts, I know you'll love them! I have to say, I have never ever been disappointed in Cathe stuff. (except Cardio Kicks. I'm not a fan of that one. At all.)..... Sorry about the elliptical issues though. Aggravating!!!

Roxie: Nice you get to spend time with your daughter for a bit!! Nice job on getting your butt kicked!

Debbie: I am always suprised at how much Yoga makes me sore!! Good decision on the cardio and foam rolling today.

Nora: I remember when I broke my toe a few years back, I found boxing workouts I could do just the arms to. I did Wii boxing. And also rode my bike. I hated being dragged down by the toe pain!!! Take care!!!

Hi girls;)

I did not workout today still resting broken toes on right foot. Not sure if I'll be working out tomorrow. I don't want to jump back into working out too soon and have my foot swollen and in pain, so I'm trying to be cautious. The swelling is down today and there is major black and blue bruises on the toes and the area. I'll see how my foot feels tomorrow.

Great job on all your workouts done today, well done!
