CRAZY STRONG & LOVING IT FOR JULY 27, 2010

Cathlete
Good morning,

Last night I did HiiT DWP + ME abs.

Today I'm doing M2 D16 (chest, shoulder & triceps).

Have a wonderful day and workout.

I will be back, sorry I don't have time for personals today. After my workout, we will leave town, going to Heidelberg with DS.

I am done with D 16! If I have time later, I will post my workout.

Have to hurry, still need to walk the dogs before we go to Heidelberg! BBL!

Today was cardio and really wasn't in the mood for anything. Not even Cardio Coach. Plus my hip flexor is tight again so I thought CC should wait a bit.

I decided to just get on my treadmill and do a steady state pace. I started out jogging for about 5 minutes to get my HR up and then I just did a fast pace at a 4% incline to keep my HR up. Worked well. Had a really good workout. Listened to my music and just sang as I walked.

Then I did the Ab work from Power Hour. I like that one, I don't do it often, but its a good one.

CARDIO STATS:
52 minutes total
3 minutes below zone
15 minutes in zone
34 minutes above zone
414 calories burned
2.75 miles travelled

I want to know why I can burn more calories just doing a fast pace walk then doing Imax 2? Pretty weird.

Good Morning,

Tonite I am going to the fitness center after work and do the elliptical its to hot to walk an then come home and do CLX Push Phase 1 plus abs.

Belinda-have fun today.

Debbie-nice workout.

After work I did bi/tri and abs from MM (it's been ages since I've even touched that DVD). I did supersets of 3x8:

SS#1
DB curls - 20's
Overhead triceps extension - 30

SS#2
Hammer curls - 20's
Double-arm kickbacks - 12's

SS#3
Incline curls - 17's/17's/16's
Lying DB extensions on ball - 16's

Bicep curls - 21's
Weighted dips to failure - 16 reps, 20#

This morning I managed to get up and get in legs (quad focus) and a short 20-minute run. It was only 74 degrees; I couldn't pass that up!

Wide-stance squats - 3x8 - 80#
Rear leg elevated lunges - 3x10 - 50#
Firewalkers - 8 total
Narrow-stance squats - 3x10 - 80#
Static lunges - 3x10 - 50#/60#/60#
Squats with low-end pulse - 3x8 - 50#/40#/40#
Wall squats with ball - 6 reps of squat with 10 sec hold - 10's
Outer thigh raises with ankle weights on ball - 2x24

It seems like I'm missing something - but I think that was it.

I will be heading to the doctor at 10:15 today to get my Ativan for the flight Friday. May need to start taking it today......

Belinda - have fun in Heidelberg today.

Debbie - I think it's probably b/c there is quite a bit of rest in between the intervals in IMAX 2 (longer than in IMAX3). I actually fast forward through the rest or do things like high knee jobs or jumping jacks - I know freaking nuts

Waves to everyone else!!!!

Nice job ladies! Not a ton of time for personals today, I'm sorry! I had a nice run - FINALLY - now that the humidity is low, and did a good 5 miles...aiming for 8-9 on Thurs, so having a good run today gave me confidence that Thursday won't kill me ;-)

Good morning!

Wish I could say that I totally killed HiiT 30/30 & ME UB last night, but I didn't. Made a serious dent in my couch though...HAHA!! I got home last night, changed into my workout gear and then totally crashed. But I'm okay with it. I'll count that as my rest day for the week. So tonight I'm going to do HiiT 30/30 and all of ME. Maybe I'll even do HiiT 40/20 as punishment... Maybe not...

I'll BBL for personals. Have to get some work done. Leaving a little early to get my haircut. A new cut always makes me happy...:D

I'm so behind at work today but promise to check back in on personals!

One thing - Debbie on the cals burned walking vs. Imax 2? I realized that I burn quite a few cals walking too after a run Scott and I did while in Maine that turned into a half run/half walk since he got a major back spasm halfway through. We still managed over 500 cal burn which I was actually very surprised at!

I DID, however, manage a ROCKSTAR run this morning, if I do say so myself. I ran 1:24 mins at what had to be closer to 8 than 7 miles since my cals burned was around 850 which is more of a cal burn for a longer than 7 mile run in my experience. MUST clock it tonight! It was awesome - weather was amazing for it this AM!! Love when I start the day that way!

Girls I know you are probably sick of hearing about my marital problems but I really have no one else to talk to and I am about to explode I really need to go do a lap around the mall but I am sure the boss wouldn't like that. DH is out of town for the entire week and usually we chat by skype on the computer but last night he decided to go to a casino instead and this really pisses me off and I don't know why other than the fact that if I decided to go to a bar it would piss him off so whats good for the goose isn't necessarily good for the gander. This probably makes no sense but I needed to vent. Why is this bothering me so much?

Possibly because you have trust issues? Just speculating. If this was me and my dh, and he was out of town and went to a casino it wouldn't bother me in the least. He has never done anything since we've been married to make me doubt him so I would just trust him and hope he had fun (but not too much!)

Or maybe you're feeling a bit left out and just wanted some of his attention last night. That's understandable too...

Hey everyone,

I did 10-10-10 Warm up, followed by CTX Chest and then FIRE 55 EZ Class. I swear, I've been doing these workouts over and over, now on week #5 and I'm shocked i am STILL loving them and NOT sick of them in the least! 5 weeks!

Belinda: Nice STS today! Enjoy your travel!

Debbie: Good that you found something you wanted to do instead of just doing nothing!

Heather: Kickin it on the weights, again! I have nice DOMS in my Bi's/Tri's today that I'm liking alot!

Jo and Jessica: Awesome runs!!! The weather is great , isnt' it? I need to run!

Roxie: NICE job getting in CLX and your walk!!! .. Sorry you're feeling crappy about your marriage. I think it has to do with the fact that your DH travels so much. And like Debbie said, you miss him, and maybe feel left out. Hope you guys get to talk and work things out.

Nora: KICKIN it on FT and STS!! Are you still splitting up those workouts? I think that would be the only way I could do them, seriously. You're ON FIRE!

Melissa: If you passed out on the couch, your body obviously needed it!, Enjoy the hair cut!!!

Nora - Thank you for your comments yesterday on my workout. You always get me all pumped up! You make me feel really good, just wanted to let you know that. I'm shooting for benching 100# with Meso 3 if possible. That all hinges on my shoulder. If I don't feel I can do it safely, then that's ok. Shoulder comes first and foremost. I did it the last time I did Meso 3, so I hope I can do it again this time. Talk about rockin' workouts! You had a great one yesterday girlfriend! I cannot believe how many calories you torched. And enjoy your active recovery week. I only did three cardio sessions on my first recovery week. Next week I'm taking the entire week off. Looking forward to it!

Belinda - Have fun with ds!!! We know you are busy with him, don't worry about doing personals.

Heather - Nice workouts! I love supersetting! And yea, you are nuts ffw'ing through the rest periods of Imax! I bow to you! :D

Jo - Nice run! I envy you true runners!

Melissa - Good for you for taking a rest day! Your body obvioulsy needed it!

Jessica - Nice job on your run, too! Holy crap! I couldn't imagine running that far, not even on my treadmill! I think the most I've ever managed was 4 miles.

Chris - I'm telling you, you are making me want those workouts! 5 weeks, wow! It doesn't seem that long since you've had the workouts. Incredible how time flies.

Holy crap - benching 100 lbs!! I will bow down to you! And you talk about me running far - I can't fathom a 100 lb bench press! You got me beat :)

And Roxie - hang in there with the DH. It sucks when work starts to put a strain on your relationship. It happened with my hubby too, his layoff is still the best thing that ever happened to us. I'd so much rather he find something with a better work/life balance than work more and have it wreck our relationship. Sending good vibes your way!

Roxie - I think this is a super supportive group and we've all vented here and there, so don't feel bad. I know I may not have any concrete advice or words of wisdom, but I'm here to listen at least.

Debbie - I have to agree with your reply to Nora.

Nora - you are always so positive about things like how much some of us lift. It's certainly an ego booster for sure. Though, you just blow me away girl. You're awesome.

Melissa - just think of last night as resting up for the weekend to come

Thank You everyone for your kind words.

Debbie-he has never given me a reason not to trust him but he has never done anything like this before, and I guess I do fill left out. I want him to be as lonesome as I am. Tomarrow he is going to Mt. Rushmore which isn't a big deal I was there as a child.

Jessica-This is probably the second time he has been gone for an entire week and they are doing it to him again in 2 weeks.

Heather-just listening to me is a big help.

Nora-you always amaze, and encourage me to be the best that I can be.

Everyone is really rocking they're workouts reminds me why I joined this group you guys are great.

Hi girls!;)

I'm back for personals.

Belinda- Excellent workout yesterday for you with HiiT DWP and ME abs!:) Today you planned to do M2 D16 chest, shoulder & triceps, which sounds awesome. I know you'll get it done and rock that workout as you usually do.

Debbie- I know it is really hard to make yourself do cardio when your just not feeling it, been there done that. Sorry, to hear that your hip flexor was bothering you today. I think you did the right thing today by listening to your body and taking it easy on the treadmill and doing a jog and walk and using the incline. I hope that helped loosen up that hip flexor for ya. Maybe try to do some pigeon poses from yoga to help with the hip flexor afterwards, that always is a good one for me when my hip flexor's tight. As for my comments yesterday, your welcome. I feel that you have especially inspired me to embrace weight lifting and helped me to improve and take on STS. You showed me that weight training is fun and is a great tool to help reshape change not only your muscles and body but is a killer way to help reduce body fat by increasing your lean muscle mass. See, you inspire me Debbie and I value your insight and friendship. You rock!!!

Roxie- Excellent idea to switch up your workout to make it more doable with the hot weather. I've never tried an elliptical before, you'll have to tell me what that's like.;) Great combo with elliptical to add CLX Push Phase 1 and Abs. Bravo!!! That sounds like a kick butt workout, WTG!! Keep up the excellent job on your workouts. :);) I'm sorry to hear that your having issues with your DH, I guess the only advice I could offer is don't borrow troubles have faith in your marriage and each other. ;) ps. nice weights you used today as well, awesome job!;)

Heather- Wow! What a killer weight workout you did today with supersets from MM for bi's, tri's and abs. Then you totally hit it out of the ball park with a 20 minute run and Killer Killer leg workout! Now that's what I call kickin' butt, and takin' names. Geez girlfriend, can I just say that the weights you used on the leg workout was truly inspiring, bravo and applause WTG!!!

Jolene- Wow, I wish I could get back into running 3-5 miles or so a day. My knees aren't feeling like cooperating so I have backed off on running way back to starting back again doing 1-1.5 miles. I think its awesome that you can run like that for longer distances. You go girl~ and running 8-9 miles as a goal for Thursday sounds very doable for you. Rock Thursday's run, you can do it!;)

Melissa- No worries about last night being an unplanned rest day. I'm sure your body needed it and you'll have a more productive workout today because of it. Now, I know you plan to do HiiT 30/30 and all of ME tonight which is a big enough of a workout, I wouldn't go for overkill and add HiiT 40/20 on to it. I'd say HiiT 30/30 and all of ME is more than enough, your done hit the shower, ok. I know, funny coming from me, huh. I woke up this morning and could barely walk with my low back and knees killing me. I did use some ben gay and leg braces and put on the workout gear and told myself I got work to do. I did my workout but I didn't dare add on to it. I thought about doing that the other day but decided I'd better see how I felt today. Turns out that was a good thing. I hope you had fun with your workout tonight it sounds great. I know you will get a great calorie burner with that combo, awesome workoutm, girlfriend! have fun on the RT!

Jessica- You weren't kidding about having a ROCK STAR RUN~!!!:eek: That was awesome, you should be so pleased with yourself. Give this woman a gold medal, you ran approx. 8 miles and burned 850 calories Wow! I'd definitely say that makes you a ROCK STAR in my book! WTG!!!:cool:

Chris- Ooh, nice workout combo for you today with CTX 10-10-10 warm up and then CTX Chest followed by TF FIRE 55 EZ Class. Nothing wrong with that kick butt workout. I'd say your on FIRE!!! WTG!!

I know what you mean about TF still loving it and not getting board with it at all. It always feels fresh and fun I think its the fun class party type atmosphere and tunes that just make you want to move coupled with Chalene's infectious energetic personality. Its a winner in my book. I did succumb and get the Advanced TF dvds and judging by how much fun I'm having with being in week 5 I'm happy I went ahead and got the advanced TF dvd's as well. STS is definitely kickin' my butt especially the three days a week I do TF and STS the same day, phew!!! Lovin' the DOMS though. :)
Seriously Chris, your doing an awesome job with your workouts and having a blast with TF, that's the best gift you can give yourself and you deserve it. WTG!

Ok, girls that's it for me today. I know better late than never, but I wanted to reach out to you all and do personals. You guys are rockin' your workouts ^^^5's to everyone.:)

Hugs!;):)
