I'm here! Testing the Internet waters, clearly. ha. I've just been trying to behave on the Internet since joining but I miss you all!

And Debbie - I think I "caught" your lack of desire for cardio this week. For some reason, weight workouts have been my thing but cardio, notsomuch. I've been so drained from the new job that I think my heart has been into weight training MUCH more so than normal. So I'm a little behind on cardio this week - was going to do that yesterday but took it as my rest day and had STS shoulders/biceps/tricepts on tap for today so I did that plus core fusion abs. I am gonna be all cardio tomorrow/Sat/Sun to make up for it and hopefully my cardio groove will be back as I get used to the new schedule and stuff.

That ever happen to you guys?? Being more "into" weights over cardio or vice versa?

Hi ladies - today is supposed to be D2 of W1 of my half training plan. DH hasn't started the training yet but is supposed to start today. The plan calls for 4 miles followed by 4 100 meter gentle pickups. So first 100 meters you increase speed slightly from run, then again for each following 100 meter interval.

Debbie - I love supersets and even trisets, they make the workouts fly by in my opinion. Looks like you had a good one!

Jessica - I do sometimes find that I am only wanting to do weights, but it's typically when I'm getting really really bored with my cardio options.

Nora - hope you're feeling better today - and thank you for your comment yesterday about the half (it's in March).

Waves to everyone!!!

Yup, Heather, that's def the problem. Treadmill is SO not fun, and its gonna snow again so I'm doomed. And I haven't been into step lately (so intensity is out the window) or Kick so I'm sort of frustrated. I like ride but the new commute has me worried I won't get back in time in the AM to get out the door when I need to/should. hmm.

I DID find a really good speed workout I need to try on the treadmill so maybe I'll try that next and see how I do :)

Belinda - What workout did you end up doing?? Hope you had a good one!

Jess - Yep, I know the feeling. My New Years Resolution was to just do my cardio without complaining about it and try to get in at least 3 sessions a week. So far this week I only have done one, but I have one on tap for tomorrow. I don't get my (our) problem with cardio, although mine has been going on for some time.

Heather - I love supersets and trisets too. Next week is my recovery week so I need to regroup and figure out what I want to do next. I think I might do the rotation you and I did together around this time last year.

Roxie - Where are you? Anyone know? Is she on a recovery week or something? I've been so out of the loop, I have no clue what is going on here lately.

Nora - I also hope you are feeling better. Sending you a {{{hug}}}

The thing is - I usually LOVE cardio, and used to love it more than weights. But this week man, I've not been into it. I think it's the time of year and weather. Ugh. I really live in the wrong part of the country. seriously.

So DH and I ended up taking a bit longer lunch and getting the training run done. It was super freaking windy so at times it felt way harder than it should have - that and we're both still not 100% after this cold/crud we've both had. It's sunny and low 50's at least.

Jessica - I hope the interval/speed work helps with the treadmill situation. It can get so frustrating not being able to do what you really want to do. I've been battling this since the IT thing and I know you've been there before. What has been helping me is to split up the workouts so it's only 30 mins of torture at a time

Debbie - I've done that rotation twice and LOVE it. It's been one of my favorites. The last time I did it, I did legs twice a week though and added on 1 or 2 exercises b/c I didn't feel like I was getting a good leg workout the way it was originally set up.

I'm the opposite of you on that - i'd rather get it all done at once if I can, esp with the new commute sched and stuff, it's gonna be real hard for me to do that much at night these days. at least until spring when its light out at night anyway! More motivating then :)

nice job on the run! how's the IT band holding up?

Jessica - too bad there isn't a gym on site so you could do a short workout there. That'd be cool. So far it seems to be holding up ok. I actually brought one of the triggerpoint balls to work with me to massage it since I didn't have much time to really roll it out after the run.

Hi girls!;)

I'm back for personals.

Debbie- Holy Hot sauce debbie that is some serious weight work today with your legs. Bravo, on your stellar leg workout today!:cool::) I know I haven't been as into cardio as I usually am. I think its something in the air or post holiday exhaustion. I'm right there with you this week with cardio. I've been trying to get through with the back and neck pain thing today was the first day I felt a little better.

Jessica- No worries, when I'm really fatigued I'm not that into cardio either. In fact, just the thought of a tough cardio session makes me long for weights. I've sort of not that into cardio this week, not sure why either. I'm usually all about the cardio and becoming more about weights but still cardio is first instinct to go for. I think Debbie and I can totally understand what you mean. Plus you just began a new job so there's a lot of good stress and excitement in that and its tiring too. Hang in there kiddo;) Excellent work on weights and core fusion, keep up the good work.:)

Heather- I'm feeling a little better today, but I think alot of it is just post holiday exhaustion and MS fatigue. I just fight my way through it and realize not every workout has to be an out-of-the-park home run. I have read I think on this site that some are using Cardio Coach to help train for half-marathons and even marathons. I don't know if you have cardio coach or not but it does have timed intervals and speeds etc... Just a suggestion I'm sure your fine without it but I just wanted to give you the info.
http://www.cardiocoach.com/cardiocoach_workouts.php happy training on your half-marathon no doubt you'll do awesome in the half-marathon.:);)

Hello's and Hugs to: Roxie, Melissa, and Jo! I miss you guys I hope all is going well with you and that your still doing great workouts. Take care and be well.

Ok, that's it for me today girls, have a great and restful evening and I'll see everyone at tomorrow's check-in.;)

Hugs to everyone!:);)
