CRAZY STRONG & LOVING IT FOR JAN 18, 2011

Cathlete
Good morning,

I will do cardio today, not sure what I will do?

I have decited to do the org. STS! I will try the rotation Cathe gave me later this year. I will throw in STS TB and LBB, but not every week:)

Work it, girls! See you all later!

Today was cardio and I chose Step Blast. Had a great workout but boy is my endurance in the toilet. I had a really hard time with my breathing and my HR was sky high. The Step Challenge was truly a challenge for me.

HR STATS:
1 hr. total
1 minutes below zone
10 minutes in zone
49 minutes above zone
539 calories burned

Love the calorie burn! Now that's what I'm talkin' about! :D

Yesterday I did biceps at lunch then legs after work. Today I need to get shoulders/triceps done and have a crazy speedwork run on tap that I'm not particularly looking forward too. It's going to be over 5 miles easily....

2 miles, 2 x (1:00, 1:30, 2:00), 2 miles. For the intervals you run fast for the prescribed time then job slower for the same amount of time.

Anyway, I have a ton of freaking meetings all day today too so I have no idea when I'll be able to get away to get anything done. It's supposed to clear up and be sunny and about 52 degrees so I really want to get the run done outside rather than the dreadmill after work. Wish me luck!!

Debbie - Step Blast is really a tough one. It's deceiving.

Good Morning,

Somewhere I picked up the crude having coughing spells so I haven't done a workout yet this week hoping tonite I can. I left work early yesterday and its cold out today so I told them I needed another day to recover I have been asleep all morning.

Belinda-sounds like a good choice enjoy whatever cardio you do today.

Debbie-nice cal burn.

Heather-its was nice here yesterday but cold again today. Sounds like a busy day.

Hi everyone! I have some down-time at work so I thought I'd check in and see how you crazies are doing!!!

Belinda - hope you got a good sweat going today!!!

Debbie - Step Blast is a killer. I'm dying by the time I get to the challenge. How's the kitty situation going?

Heather - I hope you can get outside and get your run in...:D

Roxie - I hope you feel better!

Hi Chris, Nora & Jessica!!!

It's snowing here AGAIN... It's supposed to turn to freezing rain which will make my commute home an utter nightmare. May have to leave a little early.

I did STS Circuit Blast yesterday and my thighs & shoulders are screaming today... Love it!! Alot of shoulder work in that w/o. Tonight is cardio and abs. DH and I have been committed to working our abs at least 2x a week. Big improvement for me. We even had DD in on the action. Pretty interesting trying to do a med-ball pass with three people at different heights!!

Saw the post about the NJ RT... That will definetly get me through this treacherous winter!

Hi Everyone!

Had a hard Sunday/Monday due to a crappy headache. All night at work. And I got little sleep Sunday AND Monday. Somehow I pushed myself to get my workout in yesterday in spite of being so wiped out, with residual headache. I did Gym Style Chest and Triceps, the Timesaver Premix. Afterwards, I did 4DS: LIS. I had fun with LIS, how can you not? And there were NO moves that stressed my calf. So I was happy I could do a step workout without worrying about getting hurt. Love "the Madonna" and that "hip hop" move in the warm up.

Today I tried out Bob Harper's Body Rev Cardio Conditioning. Wow. It was hard! And I liked it alot! He really pushes you on the drills. The background exercisers are SO wimpy though! THey can hardly finish the reps and seem to always be taking breaks, and I'm thinking, "Really? Really???. I'm doing it, stop wimping out!"

Belinda: Doing that rotation every other week sounds more do-able i think! Good luck , and which cardio did you end up doing?

Debbie: Good job on Step blast!!! That is REALLY tough, the end is KILLER!!!

Heather: Sounds like a big workout schedule for you today. AND work! Hope it goes well! you've been working so hard lately!!

Melissa: Nice job on Circuit Blast! I think I've only done that one once and I hardly remember it. it had drills in it like CCC, no? . NICE job on the ab work!!. and yes, the weather today SUCKS butt. Although I'm happy we don't have anywhere to drive to, school was canceled and the boys are driving me crazy! Since they've already have had 3 days off... Plus a snow day AND a 2 hour delay last week. They get on each other's nerves and fight!

Roxie: Sounds like you have some miserable bug! Get well quick!

*waves* to Nora and Jessica!!!!

the weather today SUCKS butt.

LOL!!! I couldn't have said it better myself, Chris!!! DD had school today, thankfully. We were home last Wednesday & Thursday and yesterday for MLK, Jr. day. It's hard to keep them occupied...

I haven't done CCC yet or even previewed it so I don't know if the drills were similar, but I might have to now if they are. It was a fun workout! I love LIS and the hip-hop move. I try to sub that in other workouts where ever I can.

Belinda - Hope you have a great workout today!

Heather - That run you are going to do sounds brutal!! You go girl!

Roxie - I sure hope you feel better soon! Take lots of Vitamin C!

Melissa - Kitties are doing better. Still alot of tension but getting better - SLOWLY. I wish they'd all just get along. Not too much to ask. I'm also going to do my abs twice a week. I really hate ab work but I know I need to start doing it again.

Chris - Sorry about your headaches. I sure hope it goes away. I've had one for a few days now, too, and having dizzy spells. Not sure why? Nice job with LIS, I like that one too and maybe I'll do it this week sometime. LOL on the workout you did today.

Hi to Nora and Jess!

Hi ladies! Awesome workouts up in here today - sorry I haven't had time for personals today, busy day at work. I am thankful, however, that I turned around this AM and drove home after spending an HOUR on the highway and only making it three exits past my house. Ridiculous with the snow/ice...it easily would've taken me three hours to get to work today. Um, no thank you! So thankfully I'm home and staying busy - especially since I have to workout tonite instead of the AM. Had another one of those stressful nights' sleep - I don't know why but it always happens when I've worked out at night (which I did yesterday) and/or its the day before going back to work after a weekend which it also was. SO strange. Anyway, I've got STS on tap tonight - I'm into my last three STS workouts and then I'm DONE! Crazy how fast that went!

Ok, really was not in the mood to workout, but got in triceps and shoulders at lunch. I brought my running clothes for both outside or the gym for after work. But man I'm not in the mood at all.

This is supposed to be Week 3 Meso 3 at 90%, 4x6. I did change up a couple of exercises though as some tricep work really hurts my elbows.

SS#1
Standing dumbbell shoulder press - 22's (up 1#)
Lying dumbbell triceps extensions - 17's (same weight b/c no way to increase)

SS#2
Seated lateral raise - 14's (up 1#)
Double-arm overhead ext - 32# (last week did single-arm at 14)

SS#3
Seated rear delt flye - 15's (up 1#)
Double-arm kickbacks - 15's (up 1#)

Oddly enough, I had a strong feeling weight workout.

Jessica - So glad you can at least work from home!

Chris - you crack me up talking about the background exercisers, too funny. I"ve head good things about his new workouts.

Belinda - I've not done that one in a while - good job!

Debbie - I think the run is going to be brutal

Roxie - feel better soon!

Melissa - Enjoy your cardio and abs tonight!

Hi Nora!!!

You know what I'm gonna tell ya don't you? If you aren't feeling it, maybe push that run to tomorrow. Sometimes it worth it if you TRULY aren't into the workout, know what I mean?? Of course you probably won't listen to me - from one crazy to another right??

PS. So far I've gotten Core Fusion Long and Lean done, feeling stronger in that core everytime I do a CF workout. woohoo!

Still gotta get STS done tho...y'know in between work ;-)

Hi Nora!!!

Hi girls~;)

I just finished up my workout for today and hit the shower. I'm ready to check in for today's workout now.

Here's today's workout:

STS Cardio Core Circuit= 51 Min
Met Value= 7.0
Calories burned= 530

Jackie Warner-Xtreme Abs- Floor Work Abs= 17 Min
Met Value= 5.0
Calories burned= 116

Calories burned= 646;)

Wow, Jackie Warner's Xtreme Abs is no joke, she kills the abs. I still have trouble with CCC I can't do the rollback abs jump with ankles crossed in plank position stuff. I just try and get upset that no matter what I do I can't get that. Plus planks and stuff like that if I do alot of it or hold it for too long my wrists just give out on me. CCC does have a dread factor for me because of the unique ab work it my knees and wrists don't like it at all. My abs are strong enough for it but not the knees and wrists. Oh well, I tried and will keep on trying I'll get it one day.

Hugs to everyone!:);)

Nora
