Today was cardio and I wanted to a premix from Rapid Fire. This is one fun workout DVD. Lots of premixes so I chose the Shadow Boxing, Heavy Bag and Medicine Ball Core premix. It was really fun. I haven't done the heavy bag section yet so that was new for me today. It was really cool and I want a heavy bag. I just did it kicking and punching the air. Still got a great workout.

There is also a standing core section in this workout that I'll have to try soon. I watched a little of it today and it looks fun.

Holy DOMS city over here ladies! STS got me GOOOOD last night, which I feel like I've been saying after EVERY STS workout lately!! It is so good though, I can't believe how fast I'm plowing through M2! I'm already on week 3 which is mind-boggling! Today's leg workout was awesome, not too many lunges which tend to bug my knee a bit so I was glad for that. I'm aiming for Core Fusion tonight since I didn't have time for it this AM. :)

Nora - THANK you for such sweet comments on my new job! You are so great!! And WTG on your STS full body challenge! I am DYING to try that one!! I might add it to the mix on Friday of this week, I am soooo antsy to give it a shot! holy calorie burn, very impressive as usual!!

Debbie - I LOVE standing ab work, you'll hafta let me know how it is!

Belinda -how is Intensity compared to some of Cathe's crazy cardio workouts? I'm curious.

Hi ladies - today should be biceps and abs for me at lunch. Not sure on the cardio. Not really thinking I want to do the elliptical again today.

Ok, I think I have been screwing up the double wave loads for STS. I just pulled the cards and haven't been watching the DVDs. I haven't been increasing the weights for the sets. I thought she kept the same weights - is it just on the double loads that she increases weights? May start over....crap.

Oh, and have to vent for 2 seconds. Got in and first email - random drug testing. Seriously????
 
Aw, yeah on the double-wave loads, she goes up 5% each time, but only on those sets, not the others. I'm sure it's fine - you're feeling the effects of the workout regardless so I doubt you need to do it over, unless you just WANT to, haha.

PS. Random drug test?? cmon!!

Jessica - yes, have DOMS, guess it's sad that I am that sore and didn't even do the dang thing right. Geez. I know, I am sooooo freaking annoyed. It's cold out, I don't want to walk back out to my car and spend however long it takes doing this stupid testing. Makes you feel guilty somehow too. So stupid.

Jessica - yep, and the closest facility is about 15 mins away. It'd be less annoying if I could just go freaking pee in a cup on site

Good Morning,

I am not sure what I am going to do today DD and her DH want us to go out and eat with them but they don't know what time yet if it is at 6pm then I have time go home and do a quick step routine probably basic step with one set of risers if its earlier then I brought my hr monitor to work with me and I will run the steps here.

Debbie-glad to hear you enjoyed your cardio.

Belinda-good job with your workout.

Heather-you are to funny I wouldn't start over.

Jess-you are also funny glad to hear STS is being good to you. One of these days I will make that investment.

Hi Everyone!

Didn't stop in yesterday due to my crunched time on Mondays. But I started Week #1 of MESO 3! Disc 25, which was Chest & Back. I was leary about liking Meso 3, having a little dread working up to it. BUT, I liked it alot! (the rests are kind of long, and I will need to get used to them again). I liked it because it's heavy, it's to the point (no extra reps, no change in rep pattern, no change in weights). basic moves with HEAVY weights. I have some decent DOMS in my chest this morning AND back (which I rarely get).

Today I did Premix #5 from KPC, Combos 1 +2 and then the drills. I added on Turbo Fire's Core 10 (ouch!).

Belinda: So you're combining Insanity and Debbie's weight workouts? Sounds lke a killer combo!

Debbie: That sounds like a great workout today! I bought a heavy bag at a tag sale this summer. And I've yet to use it! :eek:

Jessica: Congrats on the job!! That's awesome!! ... I know I'd probably enjoy a run outside, but getting myself OUT there is a problem. Ugh!

Heather: Nice workout yesterday, and as long as you get the DOMS, I'd say it was a good workout, and move on! .. Why are they random drug testing you? Because you look like you take steroids , you're in such great shape? ;) What a PIA!!

Roxie: Nice ab and push up work yesterday! Hope you get in your step before dinner!!

Nora: I've yet to do High Reps OR STS Total Body. I'm jealous too! It sounds like a great workout!!

Back from drug testing and workout. I decided that since I had to be out driving on my own gas money, I may as well stop into Michael's (craft store) and Bed Bath and Beyond as they were right by the clinic :p

Today was biceps from M2D18, drop sets 12,10,8,TF

Curls (DBs) 17's (up 1# and TF=6)
Seated alt. curls 17's (up 1# and TF=8)
Concentration curls 16's (up 1# and TF=6 and these were freaking killer)

I did abs from High Reps wearing weighted gloves. Awesome!

I have decided to go back up to the gym after work for 30 mins on the elliptical. I just can't do the boxing one more time. I don't want to end up hating it.

Chris - LOL, it's just policy on the random thing. You get an email and have to go before 4:30 that same day.

Well, I legit could throw-up right now. I just gave my notice and my boss was literally stunned into silence. I feel guilty even though I know I shouldn't. I had to do what was right for me above all else, right?? Someone tell me that's true!!!
