Crazy, strong & loving it for April!

Today I did yoga and I chose Bryan Kest's Energize. I love this workout but I'm really getting sick of yoga. Tomorrow I'm going to do some light weight training.

Hi Girls...

I think I tried to check in from my iPad the other day? maybe not.

I started on medication for my headaches and it threw me for a loop! Holy moly! It gave me a WICKED foggy head. A cross between foggy and wired. I shouldn't have been driving, or working. I did call out of work SUnday night, it was so bad. They dropped me down to one, one a day, instead of twice a day, and it's much better today. I can say, in spite of the side effects, the headaches have been GONE. But geesh, I can't function like that either. I started Thursday, so I have to give it a chance I guess. We'll see...

I didn't work out Sat or Sunday, but I did yesterday. I did Drill Max, attempting to drive the ultra fogginess from my head. It kind of didn't work and the workout was even harder with my head in a cloud!!! And it's hard to start! :eek:

Today I did Burn Sets CBS. And yesterday I caught up with my squats and did 300!!!! :eek::eek::eek: Today I'm back to 100. :)

Roxie: good to see you're feeling better enough to do your KCM workouts. Are you doing squats every day too? It can't hurt!!

Debbie: I can imagine you'd be getting tired of yoga! I think adding in lighter strength/weights is great! Any good bike riding weather there yet?

Nora: You could be addicted to worse! Speaking of addiction!!! ..... I ordered the workouts called "My Addiction" from totalfitnessDVD this weekend, during her Spring clearance sale, (Plus the 10% off and free S&H). They are heavy bag workouts!! I'm so excited for those. I love hitting the bag , kind of like combat, i think! SO i'm excited for those!

Hopefully my head will stay straight this week!!
 
Today I did some lifting. I decided to do supersets to get more in. I went with moderate weight and had a great workout. The hour flew by. I wish I had more time, I wanted to do abs and a little shoulder work.

1 minute rest between each superset.

I should have cut one of the chest exercises and added in another bicep. Oh well, I had a good workout. Shoulder feeling ok.

Chris - You gotta wonder what's best - the pain or the cure? Be careful taking that stuff! Wow!

I had a rough night I had coughing fits had to sleep in my chair think it was because it was so humid in the house because of thunderstorms that it just set everything off. I will do KCM KBXing 1 and 60 squats today and maybe the TM since I can't go outside and walk.

Chris-my friend challenged me to the 30 day squat challenge.

Chris- glad you found a medication to get rid of those headaches and have been adjusting the dosage to find one that is best for you. That is awesome and I hope that continues to offer relief without the fogginess. Definitely pay close attention to the dosage and how the meds are making your feel or react please be careful girlfriend:) ;)

Roxie- Good for you on the 30 day squats challenge and with your workouts, keep up the great job! Sorry, to hear about still having coughing stuff going on. I hope you can get some rest and feel better ASAP!

Hi,

I'm still getting fogginess from the one pill. As I said, not AS foggy, but it's messing with my workouts , foggy. I think I might cut it down myself to 1/2 pill. If it doesn't work, then I'll go back up. I just can't deal with this feeling like this.

I did a retro Cathe today! The warm up and the first combo from Step Works! What a fun step to do. Oldie but goodie! I wish I had the endurance to do it all. I did go out for a run outside after the step. My first run probably in about a year! It felt good, yet it didn't. It was more of a run/walk interval. My endurance ,again, sucked, due to the fogginess of my head. When I got home I did my 100 squats!

Roxie: I'm doing 100 squats for every day of Spring!!!! We both should have some pretty nice legs, huh? How long is your squat challenge? Nice job with KCM today. SOrry about the coughing. Seems coughs last forever after a colld.

Debbie: Nice ot see you doing weights there !!! The good ol' Debbie routines! Must have felt great to lift some weights! ... I know. The medication I was taking FOR my headaches gave me this same foggy feeling. and sometimes it didn't work. I'm not sure what is better. truly. I was getting the headaches 1-2 times a week since January. And they'd last maybe 2 days! Hard choice. Hard choice.

Nora: That Xtrain legs Floorwork is killer!!! Good workout, as usual. I know you understand the side effects of medications and working out. I know you push through and modify, right? You just have to keep going. It's hard not being used to not being 100%. I just want to "shake it off" but working out doesn't make me feel any better. Almost makes it worse. :(
 
Today was cardio and although my left knee is bothering me, I wanted to get something in. I chose Cardio Coach #3 and did well with it. I just cannot get sick of these workouts. I love my Cardio Coaches!

Today I felt like doing a little more than yoga so I got on my treadmill and just did a brisk walk at a 2% incline for a mile. Then I did Yoga Stretch by Karen Voight. It was perfect for today.

My mom's appointment went good. They took her staples out and said all the things she is feeling right now is normal. She's really tired all the time and just seems depressed to me. I hope she gets out of that state soon, it worries me. Her eye site isn't any better and the doctor said he couldn't figure out why it didn't get better. If it doesn't get better in a month or so, I'm going to take her to my eye doctor and see what she says. I've been wanting mom to see her for some time now. Please keep saying prayers for her. We really appreciate it!
 
Hey Girls...

I decreased the preventitive headache pills ALOT and seem to be doing better!! Started out on TWO a day, now I'm taking 1/2 PILL a day. That was WAY too freakin much. Wow. Only thing is, It makes it hard for me to sleep. But I'm still giving it a chance. I haven't had a headache since easter!!! :)

My workout yesterday was from the new series I got My Addiction & my 100 Squats. I did the first workout from that. It's a heavy bag cardio workout. Holy. Cow. It was TOUGH stuff! I was dripping!!!! Love punching that bag though!

Today I did XT Burn Sets Bi's & Tri's, 100 Squats, 10 Push Ups (toes) and 1 tabata from Breathless Body (10 minutes).

Nora: Nice combos there! I like the way you mix it up!

Debbie: Your poor mom. Sorry to hear her eyesight isn't better. And they're not looking into it more? My mom got kind of depressed/reclusive after she got home and was recovering from her surgery. .... Nice job with Karen Voight! ANd the incline walk. I saw on FB it's Sean's bday today. :(

Roxie: Good job getting KCM and Tm done! I'm going to do a KCM tomorrow. From her 30 Minute Split workout, I'm going to do Lower Body. I remember that was a good one!

Good Morning,

I did 145 squats yesterday to stay caught up and today I did 80 squats and then walked on the TM for 30 mins. I have had my mom here for the last couple of days and we are taking her home today and see GS he is pulling himself up into a standing position.
 
No workout today. I woke up at 3 a.m. with my heart pounding and couldn't get back to sleep. I'm having anxiety issues again. I bought some 5HTP Saturday and have been taking it but it takes a few weeks to get into the bloodstream. I have a headache and I'm nauseous so I hope I'm not coming down with the flu or anything. I'm going to try to go into work but may come home early. Fun times...
