I am still not feeling well my throat still hurts I can't hardly swallow and I have a horrible cough and my nose won't stop running I slept in the chair again last night so I wouldn't cough. I was a bad person and didn't tell the kids I was sick so they would all come down and spend easter with us. I am doing KCM this month so if I can peel myself off this couch I will do TLC Circuit Burn 1 or maybe just walk on the TM.

I just finished my workout for today with some delays but I still got it done. I will now check in.

Roxie- Oh bummer, your sore throat is still there. I'm sorry. I know when I have a sore throat there are only a few things that help I'll list them as follows: 1. gargle with salt water, yes its gross but it really does help. 2. Chloraseptic spray, its a throat spray and it does truly help tons and does taste gross either. The spelling might be off but should close or at least recognizable. 3. Throat Coat herbal tea, this stuff is da bomb. It is expensive but it does amazing things so that you can swollow and make your throat feel better. I get mine at Safeway a local grocery store chain and I find it in either the tea and coffee section or in the natural foods section of the store. 4. Is a treasured favorite its my grandma's secret. Lemon juice and honey mixed together and given about 1 to 2 tsp as needed. Those are the things that have helped me the best. The only thing I found to help with throat pain from a sore throat is to crush two aspirins and put in a coffee cup along with a tsp of sugar and very warm water and drink it all it will help the pain quickly. Those are all my sore throat feel better tricks I learned from being a former singer. I found they always worked for me, I just wish someone would have told me before I had to learn them the hard way. I hope those help!;) Also, if you feel too awful to workout, then just rest. Take it easy and try out those tricks I mentioned above, feel better ASAP!!!!(Healing Hugs);):)

Just a quick update on my mom. She was released on Saturday, not even 24 hours after her surgery. I really wanted them to hold her one more day but they said she was good to go. Other than the pain from the incision, she has been really good. I've been staying with her 24/7 until last night, then she kicked me out. LOL! She loves her me time. I'm heading over there in a few to see how she is and to make sure she is behaving herself. She isn't supposed to be lifting anything, or twisting or bending. I told her I'd do her laundry and whatever else she needed done.

I don't know if I will get a workout in taking the trash out this morning was exhausting and caused my cough to be worse. I was hoping to feel better today but not the case my head hurts and my face is full love sinuses.

Roxie- sorry you're still feeling ill. Please consider trying some of the suggestions I made yesterday. I know they work for me maybe one of them will work for you too. Get lots of rest and fluids, take care. ((Hugs));)

Debbie- I'm glad to hear your mom is doing well and really appreciate the updates. It sounds like she's got her spunk back quickly post surgery to kick you out! LOL!! That's a good sign, always glad to see that. I think your wise to make sure she doesn't do stuff that she should not so soon after surgery. I'm glad your going over to your mom's to take care of whatever she needs done so she doesn't try to do it all herself and set her recovery back or injure herself. Your a good daughter and she's lucky to have you. Take care girlfriend and be sure to give your mom a hug from me. ((Hugs));)

Hey Girls! :)

Had a bad night at work Sunday night, with headache too. I see my PCP tomorrow for my yearly physical, so I'll be getting something more for my headache issues. It's gotten pretty bad the last few months. 1 or 2 headaches per week since January!

Monday I did Combat Ultimate Warrior Workout Live (Fun!!!) and yesterday I did Xtrain Burn Sets CBS. I'm going to loosely follow Cathe's April 2013 Rotation. Just will switch around the cardio , but will do Xtrain Burn Sets for weights all month.

Today I did Crossfire , No Tabatas, Premix. It included Core.

I've been doing my 100 squats a day as well!

Belinda: Still enjoying TJ?!? Glad you're having fun with it! And the foot is good?

Roxie: That cold sounds miserable. I don't blame you for not telling your famiy you were sick on Easter. That would have been way too depressing to not have family!!! I did KCM last week, The TLC workout. I really like her!

Debbie: Good to hear your mom is doing so well!! That's fantastic. She sounds like my mom, in that she loves her independence. Strong women! I hope she continues to do well!

Nora: Thanks for asking about my mom. She continues to do well. She spent Easter with us, and we had a great time together. You are still killing those Combat workouts!! AND I see you got some Crossfire in too!!! Good burner!!!

I am still fighting the cold I have a horrible cough my stomach muscles are getting sore and I am so stuffy I can't breathe and now I think I have pink eye. DD called this morning and said GS is now crawling.

Chris-glad to hear your mother is doing well. I haven't decided if I should see my dr or not.

Nora-the sore throat is gone its just other stuff now.

I went to the dr today I have a sinus infection so she gave me omnicef and a nasal spray she also said to get Mucinex D for the cough. I am hoping I can walk on the TM later.

I walked on the TM this morning and I think the antibiotics are starting to kick in so I can go back to working out tomarrow.
 
Good morning all! I am back. My mom is feeling better and I'm hoping in the next few weeks her eye site will get better. She isn't seeing well at all but she does have bouts of clearity. I'm hoping those bouts will get to be more and more. Anyways, all I did last week was sit and read while taking care of my mom. I was totally lazy and did almost nothing but cook when she was hungry. I really need to get moving again. Today I did some cardio and decided to start back slowly. I chose Cardio Coach #1 and had a really good workout.

I am hoping to start adding some weight traiing in. My upper back is feeling much better. I'm still afraid it will irritate it if I try to lift, but I'm really itching to get the weights back in my hands. We'll see. Maybe I'll do one weight training workout this week and see how it goes. Oh, and I'm at 139#. Never made my goal of 130# by March 27th and I'm still no where near that goal. It's my own fault, I know it. I just really wish I could get my discipline back.

I really think I'm addicted to Les Mills Combat. I'm doing the Ultimate Warrior Hybrid which has all the basic dvds and the additional ones as well. I even got DH addicted to it too! He's now on Week 4 of their Warrior or basic workout schedule, which is awesome I'm proud of him. He says he loves Combat!!! So cool!

Roxie- I love KCM's TLC that is an awesome workout, have fun that's a sweatfest of fun. Congrats on wanting to add squats and a 2mile walk as well, bravo girlfriend sounds like a great plan. You go girlfriend!!;)

Debbie- glad to hear your mom is doing well and getting better. Yes, I hope the clarity in her vision does steadily improve. It might progress as its shown so far in bouts and eventually increase in length to become a constant with the visual clairity being very good. I wish her all the best in her recovery. Debbie its a good plan to start back slowly with the workouts so as to avoid any injury, that's smart. Nicely done with Cardio Coach Volume 1. Take care girlfriend and healing hugs to both you and your mom. ;):)
