Crazy, Strong & Loving It for 6/3

Today was Meso 1, Disc 3, Legs and I had an excellent workout. I remember the first time I did this workout I could hardly do any of the paper plate moves with weights. And the Double Leg Wall Squats w/Stability Ball was impossible for me, especially using weights. Today I could do every exercise with fairly heavy weights without a problem. Even those wall squats, it's hard for me to go all the way down to the ground to pick up weights but I made up my mind that I would give it a try and I was able to do them.

Walking Lunges & Plie Squats - BW
One Leg Touch Down Squats - BW/15 reps each leg
Firewalkers - 10 times 4/4 each way/Green band
One Leg Elevated Lunges - 6 reps/15# (3 low pulses then up)
Wide Stance Deadlifts - 20's/15 reps
One Leg Slide Back Lunges - 10's/16 each leg
Side Slide Lunges - 15#/16 reps each leg
Wall Squats w/Stability Ball - BW/10 reps (4 counts down, lift one leg, pulse up 3 times then place it on the floor and up)
Wide Stance Squats - 25's/16 reps
Calf Raises - 25's/40 reps
Front Lunge Same Leg -15's/15 reps each leg
Stiff Leg Deadlifts on Platform -20's/15 reps
Double Leg Wall Squats w/Stability Ball - 5's/8 reps (these are what I was talking about above. Hold weights, go all the way down to the floor and put them on the floor and come back up, then go down again, pick up the weights and go all the way up. It kills!)
Lateral Step-Ups- 15#/15 reps on each leg
Drop Side Lunges & Stand w/Leg Lift - 15#/15 reps each leg
Sequential Lunge into Front Kick - 10's/15 reps each leg
Narrow Stance Squats - 25's/15 reps
Calf Raises - 25's/40 reps
Wide Stance Deadlifts - 20's/15 reps

Didn't do the bonus section but did do the Extended Stretch. Not liking that too much, the stretches aren't held long enough for me. But at least it was something.

Tonite for me is a walk and then upper and lower body and abs. I didn't sleep very well had a dream that DH is cheating on me and is in love with the other woman, silly I know since as of next week we will have been married 27 years.

Debbie-great workout glad you could do something you couldn't do before.
 
Hi ladies! Sounds like some good workouts going on up in here! I did meso 1, disc 2 this morning which was back and triceps and got a good workout - though for some reason, that combination always bores me. No idea why. But I still worked hard and all that jazz. ;) I'm actually going to a Kick class tonight to use as my "practice" since I haven't taught in three weeks OR gone to any classes, I figure I need to get some in so I don't "lose" it. ;)

Chris - responding to your previous post from last night, I seriously do hope I one day and wake up with that "baby urge" but right now? It's just not there, so cool that it happened one day for you guys, there is hope yet ;)

Roxie - yikes, I hate dreams like that! I'm sure after 27 yrs of marriage you have nothing to worry about! That is a feat in and of itself! Here I am excited for 6 yrs of marriage, ha!

Debbie - LOVE to hate the leg workouts in meso 1!! I have that on deck for tomorrow morning before spin and have a feeling it might kill me, or nearly kill me. those paper plates man!!

I had an ENT appointment yesterday, I was bleeding out of my ear at the doctor’s office. You would think after all that antibiotics I was taking in the hospital and still taking my ears/sinus would be gone? In the hospital I was on 1000 ml antibiotics/IV, 3 times a day plus I had to take oral antibiotics 3 x a day. I am taking Augmentin 875- 125 twice a day and I am still not 100% better, WTH? I have to see the ENT doctor again on Monday! Now the ENT is afraid I will get another fungus infection in my ear since I am taking so much antibiotics since last Wednesday. I hope we can fly out on the 9th?
DH and I are in Jacksonville FL right on the beach. We took a 3 mile walk last night. I woke up this morning and my throat is hurting, Go figure!
I can’t find my running shoes; I think we left them in the hospital? I need to call them today. I need a good run/workout soon. I am so stressed out. I can’t believe my ears/ sinus is causing me so much trouble. This was my worst ear/ sinus infection ever. The ENT doctor believes the drops I was putting in my ears for the fungus caused all of this. He doesn’t believe I had a fungus infection. I have to wait until I get back to Germany my German ENT should know what infection I had? He was testing it just the day I flew to the US, unfortunately we went on vacation too.

Nice job on your workouts, girls! Keep up the good work! I will be back tonight!

Like 20 sec sprint, then 20 sec of pushups, and 20 sec of plie jacks (that'd be 1 circuit). DH thinks I'm a wee bit off my rocker of course.

Ha, Heather - I would want to do the same on the beach! Jo and I sometimes do driills in Maine at our lakehouse in the summer, its super fun, actually!! And I do like travel fit, at least you feel like you're still getting some toning work done while your off on vaca :)

Yeah, for now there are only four classes on the schedule at my gym - two of which I can't teach since it interferes with work, and two of which are spoken for, at least for now. So, for now I'll act as a sub and rotate in during launches when we typically team teach the new releases and stuff. Hopefully my fitness director will add more classes to the schedule in January (that's her plan, if not sooner) and then I'll have a dedicated class.

Okay, ladies, here I am - I got scolded ;-) I keep forgetting to jump in here after I log my workouts in WM!

I am also doing Kick tonight (attending, not teaching - boo!) but this morning I did Meso 1, Week 4, Legs. Damn, those leg workouts are seriously the hardest leg workouts ever, I am convinced. I LOVE them to death, but they are such a challenge. After doing Power for quite a few months, taking a mini break from STS, I love getting back to it, and want to get my endurance back up. Cathe never ceases to amaze, and the leg workouts are NO JOKE! Can't wait for the DOMS! LOL!
 
PS - apologies on the lack of personals today, ladies, I promise I'll get on here more often and do those too. You all rock, love all the variety from everyone!!

I have a Power Tower that I've had for years. And yes, it makes them WAY HARD! I'll have to condition myself back to doing them. I was up to 15 reps at one point in time. I doubt I'll see 3 on Saturday. :(

Good to see you, Jo! Was wondering where you've been. I love STS legs and I usually hate to work my legs. Not with this series, I look forward to it each time.
 
thanks Debbie! I actually love doing leg work, but sometimes it gets to be monotonous, but I've fallen in love with STS legs all over again! That feeling when you try to walk down the stairs after the workout is over is always the best (and worst!). And I always sweat like a pig - haha!

Hi girls!;)

I just finished today's workout, and I'm off to drink a protein shake and hit the shower. I have to take my Ares, my GSD puppy, to the vet for more puppy shots.

Here's today's workout:

Insanity-Core Cardio & Balance= 40 Min
Calories burned= 601

Butts & Guts- Floor Work Only= 20 Min
Calories burned= 109

Total Calories burned= 710:cool:
