I can't just sit on my butt and not do anything:rolleyes: I will do some yoga/strech plus abs today.


I also will walk the dogs, if it stops raining/snowing;)

Hi ladies - Happy Friday!

Today will be my rest day. I need to go find a birthday gift for my 5 year old niece after work. You'll love this, she either wants (per my sister) Tinkerbell or My Little Pony PJs OR colorful drawer organizers! This was her request. She asked my sister if they could organize her drawers. LOL

Tomorrow I have the race in the morning (starts at 8). It'll be about 50 degrees, but at least no rain. I am planning on doing the premix 10 from 4DS and adding the same muscle groups from MM rather than repeating it like I did previously. I really liked mixing 2 workouts with PUB and PH so I thought I would try it again with 4DS. After that, I really need to clean house and make some dog treats for an order to take to Hot Springs with me on Sunday when I go to my niece's bday party. It'll be a busy weekend for me.

Good morning!

I was kind of disappointed to get up and STILL feel some good DOMS in my lower body still. Plus I'm just tired/fatigued. I think because it's TTOM for me, which , I should be grateful, I "only" get super tired during.

Today is going to be DISC 8, Back & Triceps for me. And then I'm going to head out to get a movie for tonight's movie night (with our new Bose surround sound, which is SUPER cool!) and then do grocery shopping.

Oh yes, snow actually fell from the sky this morning, the boys were all excited. To be a kid again, I swear! Alex was saying, "If it snows all day like this, we won't have school tomorrow!" Even funnier, since tomorrow is Saturday!! Funny boy!

Brenda: Yoga/stretching sounds good!! Let your body heel, right?

Heather: 50's sounds WAY better than our weather prediction for our Sunday JDRF Walk: 40's, cloudy, showers!! :eek: You do have some interesting weight pairings! Your niece sounds adorable!!


Okay, better go get motivated... and do my STS for the day!!!
 
Chris - my niece is a mess for sure. She is seriously a combo of my sister and me, but mostly me. Scary! Everyone says that my sister had my kid. Good luck with your workout today. I think we'll be doing a movie night too, but no cool sound system!

I have to say that I wasn't sure about the workout pairings, but I was SOOO sore after last week, I thought I'd try it again. Something worked out right I think. Either that or I just shocked the hell out of my muscles. :eek:

Today was Meso 3, Week 1, Disc 25, Chest and Back. Push/Pull sort of workout. Loved it! Had a great workout!

Warmup:
Flat Bench Press - 65#/12 reps
Flat Bench Press - 70#/12 reps

Workout:
Flat Bench Press - 90#/8 reps
Barbell Rows - 67#/9 reps

Flat Bench Press - 90#/8 reps
Barbell Rows - 70#/9 reps

Flat Bench Press - 90#/8 reps
Barbell Rows - 75#/8 reps

Flat Bench Press - 90#/8 reps
Barbell Rows - 75#/8 reps
***A little over 1 minute rest between each set and each exercise.

Flat Bench Chest Flys - 35's/8 reps
One Arm Row - 40#/8 reps
***Did this set 4 times as well. Used the same weights for each set.

Incline Bench Press - 85#/8 reps
Barbell Deadlifts - 72#/8 reps

Incline Bench Press - 85#/8 reps
Barbell Deadlifts - 77#/8 reps
***Used this weight for 2 more sets. Total of 4 sets in all.

This was tough but I love working out like this. Looking forward to possibly hitting 100# on bench again.

Hi girls! I did Disc 2 today. Had a really good workout. I fashioned a weight bar over the handrails of my TM to do chin/pullups on and it worked like a charm. I did have to use caution, though. I don't even know how close I would be to doing an actual pull up... it's not something I practice (I've obviously never done P90X).
Anyway, I thought I would be sore from Disc 3 yesterday, Legs. Just maybe a little soreness in my inner thighs, but only just a little. We'll see tomorrow....
I'll try to get some abs in later. Or maybe tomorrow along with cardio. No, I'd better do them tonight - lots going on tomorrow.
Debbie, glad to see you're still really enjoying STS. Be careful with your shoulder on bench press - I know you know that. Feels good to go that heavy again, though, huh?

I finally managed to get motivated enough to workout. Did KCMs 30min KB.

here's what I did for my workout:

STS Meso 3 Disc#31 Chest and Back= 68 Min
Calories burned= 528 approx.
This was a great workout for me, I was able to lift 90% of my one rep max so that's good.

STS Ab Circuits-Med ball abs= 10 Min
Calories burned= 62 approx.

That's it for me today, its been a long and stressful day for me so I'm glad to be done with my workout so I can relax now. Have a great evening girls and I'll seeya at tomorrow's checkin.
