Today I will do cardio, maybe I will do some kickboxing today?

I am planning on SB after work and abs. Should have gotten up to run b/c it is sooooo cool out once again. Not sure how much longer we have before the weather gets back to normal - AKA HOT. I am going to just tell myself that it would have been more of a struggle than anything b/c I was tired and legs feeling heavy from Tuesday's leg workout. Yep, that's my excuse...

So today was cardio and I did Amy's Kickbox Extreme again. This workout is like KP&C, it just doesn't get my HR up. I think the highest it got was 143 bpm. I was sweating like crazy, though. It's a fun workout. I like all the combos and caught on a little better this time around.

Good Morning,

Totally forgot why I needed to get up early this morning reset my alarm, so I will do coremax while the baby is here DH can watch him after all its his nephew and then they said it would only be for a couple of hours so I might be able to get 4ds LIS step only in after he leaves if not I will have to make it up, but I definitely want to do the core work.

I'm feeling pretty good today after a good night's sleep! I think I successfully slept off those drugs...

It must be in the air, because today I'm going to do Kickmax. Wanted to get some lower body stuff going, and I love the leg drills at the end for that!

Belinda: Hope you picked a good one!

Heather: I won't even tell you to have fun with with SB, because you can't help it , it's a great workout..

Debbie: Another kickboxer! Good workout today!

Roxie: That's funny you forgot why you were getting up early. Sounds like something I would do too. Good plan on working in the workouts today! Let us know how it goes...
 
Morning! I just finished Leaner Legs and Core Max #3. I have to pause during LL- she moves so fast! Of course I don't use the same pound barbell for the whole wo, either.

Chris: Glad everything went OK yesterday. Weird about the HR- I'm always so proud of my low resting HR but guess not for this purpose, huh?

Heather: SB is so much fun! Isn't that the one with the Rolling Stones song in it?

Debbie: You make me want to do some Amy! I think she is post RT- I will do a few weeks of her weight and cardio work just for something different.

Good morning. I did Imax 2 this morning. I will never get tired of that workout! I have one more week to go on Debbie's Get Ready for Summer rotation. Not sure if I'm losing weight since I don't have scales but it's been fun to try doing ciruits and full body workouts.

Patti-have you started packing for the RT yet? Did they give you your packing list? The idea to put your workout clothes in ziploc bags is probably the BEST advice that I got from last year. I can't wait for you to come back so I can hear all about it. I"m doing Leaner legs tomorrow and have never done that one. So it's a killer????

Belinda-I think you had asked if I did a 3 month or 6 month rotation for STS. I did the 3 month and honestly don't think that I could do it for 6 months. I enjoyed it but I was also ready to move onto something else after 3 months. You are going to love Plyo legs!

Debbie-good workout as usual. But then do you ever had a bad workout?????

Chris-glad to hear that everything went so well yesterday. I too always thought it was good to have a low resting heart rate. Have fun with KM.

Roxie-have fun with 4ds LIS. I love every part of that series!

Heather-enjoy SB. That one has a huge fun factor for me.

Well back to work. I'm doing Clean Max today too!

I think the consensus is that SB is one of the best step workouts! Yes, it has Paint it Black - starts up around the 2nd challenge - just when you're starting to fade! I know I'm getting close to being done when that song starts. It's sad when you've done the workouts so many times you know ever nuance like that. Of course, every once in a while I'll catch Cathe or one of her crew do something I didn't notice before and it makes me laugh.

Bev: I agree about IMAX 2- I do try not to do it too often b/c I'm afraid I'll get sick of it and that would be tragic! Yes, I'm packing. :D I'm a planner- already have my nicest yoga pants set aside, stuff like that. I have big Ziplocks, thanks. If you have any other tips, pass 'em along! I cannot wait, so excited!

Bev: About Leaner Legs, it just moves so fast! Cathe uses a 35# barbell through the whole thing so she just jumps from move to move. I try to go as heavy as I can so I pause and take slightly longer breaks. Also, it isn't chaptered so don't hit the back button. My only other warning is the first set of squats in the beginning- she goes through the entire sequence twice in a row in that first set so don't go too heavy. :eek: But what is nice or different about it is that she does squats, then deadlifts, then calves and kind of does that throughout the workout. You don't just do squats, squats, squats and then deads, deads, deads. It makes the time go by fast. Let me know what you think.

Brkfst.-I ate oatmeal believe it or not.
Am Snack-banana and yogurt
Lunch-4oz of grilled ribeye, corn and sweet potatoe, kiwi
Pm snack-nectarine, cheese stick and cucumber
Supper-since it has to be quick I am going to get a salad from somewhere and get DH something.

Good for you, Roxie! And your meals look good today. Nice job on getting that oatmeal in.

Not sure if you buy BSN Lean Dessert or not, but get some (any flavor that you like) and add a scoop to oats. That is the ONLY way I can eat oats. It's good, and it gives you extra protein.

I'm excited to hear you will start WW. I'm not excited about the diet pills, but I understand.

There must be something in the air:p I also did a kickbox workout today! I ended up doing KPC + abs.

Heather, I did IMAX 3 the other day, I almost forgot the steps! LOL! Haven’t done that one in so long. You should have seen me, I was all over the place! WTG yesterday, that’s a tough one! I am really don’t count calories, I measure my food. Not the green veggies! Glad you enjoyed SB today. You need to try some of the premixes, I love those!

Chris, I am glad everything is ok and you made it through yesterday. My DH resting HR is very low. Maybe I should do the 3 month STS rotation, at least I will make it through once, right? Looks like we all did kickboxing workouts today. I will do KM next week, nice job! Did you do those drills? They are nice leg burners, lol!

Rockie, I can’t believe you doctor is prescribing you weight loss tablets? I have a lot more weight to lose than you and I wouldn’t even consider taking weight loss tablets. I am doing it the old fashion way! LOL! I think your doctor is crazy! Nice job, with MM UB yesterday.

Bev, Debbie’s Get ready for the summer is a sweat fest! Glad you enjoyed IMAX 2 this morning. I think you all convinced me to do the 3 month STS rotation. My problem isn’t the 6 month; I am afraid I get another sinus problem on the way and have to stop again. That is my only concern! You think I will like the phylo legs? Is it a lot of jumping, I hate jumping.

Belinda: I liked Plyo Legs- she alternates a weighted exercise like front lunges with a plyo exercise, like plyo jacks. Time flies in the workouts which is always a plus. :) And really, if they aren't your thing, just think you only have to do one 4 times. :)

Heather: It's a great check in- I love it here. Glad you're here too. :)

You know, I totally dreaded plyo legs. Really dreaded them. But, like you said, time flies! You don't even have time to realize just how hard they are LOL!!!

Heather-I agree with you some days I wouldn't even workout but I know these girls would keep me accountable and I thank everyone of them for their motivation and support.
 
Well girls - I took a rest day today after all. (or am taking one) DH wasn't feeling well last night so he didn't go into work right away at 11pm (waited to go until 3am) and ended up disturbing my slumber in the process. I usually look forward to him leaving because then I get the whole bed to myself...so kind of annoyed when that didn't happen! No, I'm not being heartless - I was worried about him - but also annoyed that I wouldn't be able to truely enjoy my "sleeping in" for my rest day. Oh well, I guess I shouldn't complain - he gets less sleep than I do. I was going to get up and do some yoga this morning - but I was just way too tired. When I get home I will take our pup for a walk and then see what else falls into my lap.
