Tonight DH and I will go to the gym:D I have a PT appointment this afternoon.

Hi ladies!! Just as a note, Roxie is not allowed to drink more than 1 soda today as I did make it to the gym yesterday :D

I ran 20 mins to warm up then did the same workout Debbie did:

SHOULDERS - Dumbbell Military Press - 20's
No way I could have done 25, but maybe 21 if I had my weighted gloves

QUADS - Leg Press, I did step ups using 5 risers and lunging back more to target quads more than hams. I used 25# DBs

CHEST - Incline Dumbbell Press (I ended up using some cable machine as I had no spotter and wanted to use 30#. I just can't hoist them up safely and also do the presses.)

BACK - Chinups - assisted with 60#

BICEPS - Barbell Preacher Curl - totally underestimated myself on these b/c I'm used to failing immediately. forgot to acct for the fact that this was the only biceps exercise (other than what I used for chinups).

TRICEPS - Lying Barbell Extensions - used DB, 12's/15's/12's

Woke up this morning with a headache, I'm just a little stressed out right now. I will try and get a workout in later its suppose to be 30D shred level 1 again but we will see might just be cardio.

Heather-good for you and I will only drink one. We got 4" of new snow last night and the high today is suppose to be 5 degrees with a wind chill of -22, I really don't want to leave the house.
 
The snow they were calling for didn't happen here. It's just cold and temps are dropping. Supposed to be in the single digits by tomorrow night. Our weather people are almost always wrong! Hope your headache goes away.

Today was cardio and I chose Cardio Coach #6 w/Candace. I was only able to do Challenge #1 and #2 because I am experiencing some very bad pain and tightness in my lower body. I'm not sure what's going on with this, but running on my treadmill today was very painful. I was having this problem with the CC workouts before and that's why I stopped doing them. Even with all the yoga and stretching I've done, nothing is helping me with this tightness. It's starting to scare me.

After the first 2 challenges I just did a 3 mph walk up a 5% incline. When that started getting painful I dropped it to a 2% incline. Tried to stay on for an hour. It was very diffiecult. :(

Not bad stats, I just wish I could feel good again about cardio. This pain really drags me down anymore.

I guess I should note my intentions for today's workout. Cardio, just not sure what. Might do Cardio Fusion. I also need to do abs and stretch.
 
Hey Guys...

Today I did a new workout I'd gotten before the holidays: Lalo Fit 2.

I loved it!

This one has much better cueing than the first (which I excused, because Lalo is so hot to look at and listen to). It's basically 3 or 4 exercises combining cardio and toning with light weights, in cycles. 30 second rests between each cycle. Kind of like bootcamp stuff or even Cardio Core Circuit.

Lalo is so easy to listen to and look at (he sweats, grunts and breaths heavy!).

Yesterday I kind of woosed out and did the step only premix from IMAX 3 and then did seg #1 of stretch max.

I need to get the rest of my tree down today. I really hate it! and have been procrastinating on it. My DH usually does it and I'm pissed he's not (he's doing other stuff, like fixing our crashed computer!)

Great workouts so far!

Roxie: How's your neck feeling? You guys are getting slammed with snow, huh? Our weather has been kind of nice this week for Winter. Sunny, breezy and in the 20's-30's.

Debbie: Is it just the running cardio that's bothering you? Can you do step or boot camp stuff? That sucks it hurts so bad you can't even walk!!

Heather: Nice weight work!!!

Have you finished the other half yet? What's for lunch? I think I'm having soup just to warm up!

Heather-just about done with all of it and then I only have water left. I to am having soup hopefully it will warm my hands up and I am having applesauce.

I need to loosen up the muscles in my hips and glutes. I hope it works. I keep forgetting I have those to use. Duh!

Heather - Nice job with your workout! What weight did you use for preacher curls? Just curious. Are you getting sore from these workouts? I am. I've been sore since I started. And LOL on Roxie and her pop!

Roxie - So my dear, why are you driking diet pop??? Do you know how bad that stuff is for you??? :eek: Hope your headache goes away. It's probably from the diet pop! LMAO!

Chris - Nice workout and I'm glad you enjoyed it! That always helps when it comes to cardio. This pain bothers me all day long, but running is obviously totally out of the question. I'm going to try some heat and massage it tonight and for the rest of the week and see how that goes. I just can't believe how tight my lower body is.
 
My hips are almost always tight and sore-ish feeling, and even moreso after a lower body workout or a run. Today, Lalo did a new stretch that REALLY got into my hips good. (not sure if this might be good for you , Debbie).

Lay on your stomach with arms outstretched. Lift one leg and cross it behind your other leg to the opposite of the floor. It stretches out the hip soooo good!

Debbie - I am embarrassed to admit it seriously b/c I truly did myself in injustice on those. 12 lb DBs. I did add 2 reps to the last 2 sets though. :eek:

I know I could have done 15's had I been thinking straight. I just have this major aversion to that exercise.

My legs are a little sore today, but, overall, I'm not as sore as I thought I might be. I don't like that pully thing for chest and won't use that again. It just wasn't quite like DBs or BBs. I think I may just be underestimating myself and my ability to use some of the gym equipment. My shoulders are sore (Just realized as I moved LOL).

I am finally done with my workout. I did CCV 6, 3 miles on the TC and 1 mile on the TM;) Had to go to the grocery store also, we are getting 6 inches of snow starting tomorrow until Sunday:confused: I am not looking forward to this at all. Sorry, I don't have time for personals, DH is leaving tomorrow. Need to spent some time with him:confused:

Debbie-that is why I am going to stop drinking it I am hearing more and more bad things about it. I bought new filters for or pur water facet at home so now I am bringing my own water in a jug that has not bad plastics.
 
Ok other than the granola bars for brkfst.
Lunch-veggie soup and applesauce and I bought a white chocolate macadamia nut cookie. Someone slap me I didn't even really want eat.
PM snack-colby cheddar cheese stick, orange and carrots
Supper-unknown have to go visit SIL in hospital after work.
 
Ok, change of plans. It's supposed to get down to 11 degrees tonight. Rather than walk 3 blocks in that temp at 7 am tomorrow, I am going to come in and do straight 9-5. That means I can work out in the morning without having to get up super early. YEAH. So this evening will be a rest day for me so I can run some errands for my sister's bday party this Sat.

Roxie - that just doesn't sound like much. I think I'd be starved. So far I have had:
  • oatmeal with protein powder and blueberries
  • apple with string cheese
  • whole can progresso vegetarian soup in which I added edamame and Quorn nuggets (to bump up the protein) with 5 whole wheat crackers
  • serving of Greek yogurt with blueberries & almonds
  • Dinner will be "sausage" sauteed with onions, tomatoes & peppers served over spaghetti squash.
  • I'm sure I'll have some snacky dessert treat of some sort too.
