Cathlete
Hi and good morning,

I will do cardio today, not sure what yet? It's raining outside:(

Have a great day/worout today, everyone! BBL!

Belinda - Nice tickers! :)

Today was PUB. Yikes! Those bicep curls at the end there really get you. (or me at least!) Cathe is evil for making you do abs with a ball after working your UP so hard. Arms are very shakey during those pikes!

What does everyone else have planned for today?

Today I am going to do biceps. I am probably going to head to the gym after work and try to walk a little and maybe do the eliptical. I can walk on an incline at least and get my HR up. I have DOMS more in my right tricep than left. I think I am favoring my left arm some b/c it feels weaker through the elbow area. Need to even myself out!

Belinda - it's rainy here today too.

Karen - I agree with you about those pikes on PUB abs. I did that yesterday and I had only done triceps work and my shoulders were killing me and wrists too. I think it should be illegal to do that abs workout right after a full upper body!!!!

Today was cardio so I chose Cardio Coach Press Play. Had a great workout. My HRM was acting up but I think it's because it's so humid. Even though we have our A/C on, when it's actually not on it gets stuffy in my workout room. It kept going to Touch mode, thinking I was placing my fingers on the touch screen. I had dh turn the air on and that seemed to stop the problem. Either that or it needs a new battary.

Anyways, did well with this workout. Was a puke status workout.

HR STATS:
1 hr. 8 minutes total
5 minutes below zone
24 minutes in zone
37 minutes above zone
549 calories burned
4 miles travelled

I want to work my abs when I get home from work. I hope I don't forget to do them.

Hey Girls!

For me today, it's KPC. My 2 older boys are away at camp again for the day. It's such a difference here with just Jake, my youngest (7), home. And today DH is sleeping after work, so I get some semi-alone time ... Taking Jake to the library later for "Martha Speaks Book Club". Thinking about reading outside and dipping in the pool for a bit. It's a VERY summery/hot/humid "might reach 100" day. And I have to finish the library book I'm reading, (Shanghai Girls), it's due in 2 days. And I have one that's ready to be picked up (The Shack).

Belinda: Great work yesterday with the weights!! Hope you find a fun cardio to do. LOL @ my bean "issue" yesterday. Usually, I eat alot of beans too, and it doesn't bother me, but since I'd been eating "off" on vacation last week, they were a bit of a shock to my system.

Nora: Good workout yesterday! I really enjoyed GS , since it's been a while, too!

Karen: Yep, those biceps definitely bite ya at the end! And the ball pike work is FOREVER when your arms are tired!!

Heather: It's cool you can still do your rotation with your ankle. Sorry step didn't work for you yesterday. You don't have the "Wii", right? The punching drills on that are excellent cardio. Or you could try some punching drills from some of cathe's workouts too!

Debbie
: YAY for puke status! LOL!. Sounds like a good workout, sorry for your HRM issues, I hate when that happens!

Roxie: Oh, sorry Debbie isn't doing it for you. I seriously came "this close" to buying SI6 used at a record store in June. I was afraid of it being "boring" though. Maybe you could mix it up with some Cathe?

Wendy: Cool you did BSB yesterday too!... the low back work was hard for me too, and it usually isn't so much.

off I go!
BBL!

Good Morning,

Tonite is Ramp it Up again and I am going to have to be careful because she short changes one side and doesn't tell you when she is switching exercises don't much care for her as an instructor.

Oh, ok, Debbie! You got the Power Tower from here? Does it help with heavy lifting too, or is mainly for pull/chin ups?

The Power Tower is mostly used for pullups and you can do pushups on it and tricep dips (but those are really hard on this thing, I feel major shoulder pain when I try it). Also, you can do leg/knee lifts on it for abs which really burn. You don't put bars or weights on it, it's just a stand. I have a regular bench to do chest work on it.

Chris - I don't have a Wii, but I do have KPC, Kickmax, and the 4DS Kickbox. I have been thinking of trying KPC and just not jump around at least. Mostly focus on those punching combos and not the cardio drills. The eliptical doesn't seem to bother my ankle too bad, but the tips of my toes go numb after a while - even with cross trainers. I guess it's just the particular motion.

Sometimes it's kind of nice when it starts to rain on you at the very end!

We had a HY VEE open here today and I believe they are going to be a great help in my wt. loss. I wonder around the store this morning before work. Can anyone tell me what yellow carrots taste like?

I keep forgetting to tell you all how sore I've been. Today my shoulders, back and tri's are screaming at me. My biceps are still sore too. The only part that hasn't been sore is my chest. I know a lot of people said they didn't get sore with Meso 1, but I am. Big time!

Debbie - I think "they" are liars!! LOL. I was so freaking sore all through Meso 1 and most of Meso 2. Meso 3 wasn't nearly as bad. Once I wasn't sore from head to toe every waking moment, I started to think that I must not be working as hard or something. Talk about getting a skewed sense of reality!!!

Hi girls,

Just a quick check in!

Karen, those bicep curls in PUB, they sure burn. LOL! Great job!

Heather, have fun at the gym today. Work those bicep, girl. How is your ankle? The rain did feel good at the end of my ran. LOL!

Debbie, I have the same HR monitor you have. I returned my back to WM (actually DH did!), I tried everything. The new one works fine! WTG, on CCPP today. I am soooo sore from M1. LOL! How is your ankle doing?

Chris, enjoy your semi- alone time today. I am alone too, lol. DH is coming home tomorrow, but this is the military. Enjoy KPC, I almost did that one today.

Rockie, enjoy Ramp it Up tonight. What is it?

Hi to everyone that follows:D

Checking in -

I did KPC today per Cathe's rotation. I really enjoyed it! After doing more leg conditioning drills and plyo, and less heavy weights the last month or two, I really feel like my form has come a long way. 70 min/489 calories.
Debbie, again, you guys are making me so envious! I'm already thinking ahead to my birthday - my MIL always gives me $$. (Better than the robe I always get from her at Christmas,eh?...I should never have commented how much I liked it!) So maybe I'll have STS by the end of the year!
Let's keep up on the good eats, shall we? I'm going to go into the kitchen and try to make a good choice...wish me luck!
By the way....anyone need a robe?
Good times...

Debbie - first off, glad to hear that your knee isn't just totally shot. Hopefully it was just some little something that won't cause any long-term issues! I have a quick question about hiney-lifting exercises. Do you think it's ok to do some of the floor work workouts for booty lifting purposes more than once a week separate from the lower body workouts?

Thanks!
Heather

If you're talking about exercises like Cathe does with her floor work for legs, then yes, you can. But only add one extra day.

Thanks. I was thinking along the lines of the floor work from B&G - focus on hamstrings and glutes more than anything (like the roll ins and glute lifts on the ball or step).

Ha, timely post Heather b/c that is what I did today! I did S&H Legs, followed by PH Legs and then the floor work from B&G. Debbie, you might just be an evil genius to follow up S&H legs with PH legs- good night woman! Anyway, let's just say it was a gooood workout.

Later girls!
