Crazy, strong and loving it for April 9 - 15, 2012

OMG. , I ended up doing the entire Total Body Premix from Trisets! LOL! I thought, "Well, Debbie says so!". I did skip the hamstring ball roll ins and ONE set of the last triset of back/bi's/abs. About 82 minutes for me! LOL!

I had the time today, so , WTH.

Nora: I have to say, I am SUPER impressed with your holding back on the workouts and going slower. I know you push it ALWAYS, so this is huge for you. I'm very happy your are doing it this way!!!

Debbie: Nice job on your total body today! Great weights and great TB workout!

Roxie: Nice job on walking and C&W last night! ... Good luck on TBT tonight. It is actually, an awesome workout!... Oh! What new workouts are KCM coming out with? More 30 minute stuff?

Belinda: What is your workout today? hope you are feeling well!

Chris-yes more 30min stuff she is getting in on the metabolic training using low impact moves but there isn't going to be any burpees. Haven't heard anything on them in the last couple of months. If you go to VideoFitness there is talk of the new Turbo Fires and I think some people have reviews on them.

Good Evening,

I chose the Scrambled premix on TBTS and really enjoyed this workout I will have to do it again sometime then I went out to DD's new house they put the windows in last night.

48 min
30 in the zone

Good morning,

Sorry for not checking in yesterday, had a doc appoitment. I did Turbo Barre and a walk yesterday.

Roxie - good job last night.

Nora - I ordered BH Totally Ripped Core, his DVDs are all on sale $5. Had to order, lol. Good job last night. You already on week 4 with your rotation, wtg. How are you feeling?

Chris - wow, on your TB Premix, that's long!

Debbie - nice job, on your weight workout.

Today I will do S&G cardio only + TB UB Tri Sets and a walk.

I will be back later.

Well, no workout today. Woke up with another bad headache. I'm starting to think I have a sinus infection or getting to the infection part. Yesterday I was dizzy every time I stood up and it's happening again today. I'm going to try sinus meds and if that doesn't work I'll make a doctors appointment. Obviously, something is going on with me.

I feel alot better now and I probably should do a short cardio workout, but I really have no desire to do so. I hate that, I only workout 5 days a week now and if I skip a day it's only 4. Can't make progress doing that.

Ah well, what are you gonna do?

Good Morning,

Tonite for me will be KCM Circuit Blast #2, DH wants to go out for supper so I need something quick. Its raining here not a pretty day at all.

Debbie-sounds like my dizzy problem go to the pharmacy and ask for Meclizine it will help.

Belinda-good job with your workout yesterday.

Debbie - mmm....I hope you don't have Vertigo:eek: Sounds like Vertigo to me, every time I got up, or moved my head I got dizzy!! Do you use a rinse? Hope you feel better.

No workout to report yet:confused: not making much progress either, if I don't move soon. I do have a sinus infection, doc wanted to give me antibiotics yesterday. I told him, no!

Need to get some lunch and hopefully have more engery:confused:

Hi girls;)

I just finished today's workout. I did a Cardio Coach workout and said prayers for Sean and his family. This was the first time ever I've done a cardio coach workout on my spin bike and it was awesome! Thanks Coach Sean, may you rest in peace.

Here's today's workout:

For this I used Cardio Coach Volume 3 revised and used a stationary spin bike.

Time= 45Min
Distance= 10.86 Miles
Calories Burned= 645
AVG BPM= 142-152 which is 78% Max Heart rate in the zone up to my 85%.

Les Mills Pump-Hard Core ABS = 20 Min
Met Value= 5.0
Calories burned= 137

Total calories burned= 782:cool:

Ok, that's it for me right now but I'll be back later for personals. Have a great day girls be well and be strong.;)

Hugs to everyone!;):D

Heya girls!

A friend let me borrow the first phase of Jillian Michael's Body Revolution, so today I did workout #1 from her and then I did the 32 minute premix of High Step Challenge. The JM was pretty good. It was definitely a "starting point", not too high impact at all. But I liked the music, liked Jillian, and the premise of the workout. It will be interesting to try the others. I think I may want this system, but I will wait for the price to go down.

Of course, Cathe amped everything up with HSC!!! holy moly with the cardio segments, she has you dying! LOL!. thank you Cathe for kicking my butt the 2nd half hour!!! I added on a stretch, because this premix doesn't have one.

Debbie: I really think my more frequent headaches and crappy head feelings were due to sinuses too. (and allergies). So far , since I started certain things, my headaches have been gone (except for the obvious lack of sleep one I had on Monday). I have #1. gotten a humidifier in my room. #2. started taking an allergy pill every night (zyrtec) and #3. got a perscription nasal spray from my doctor that I use every night before I go to bed. Knock on wood, but I have not had headaches since!

Roxie: Good job subbing in for HSC. Enjoy dinner out! I want dinner out! LOL! :p

Nora: I wasn't even a huge fan of Sean (but I did know of him and had done a workout or 2 of his before), and it all made me very sad to do CCPP. He sure doesn't give you time to be sad during the workout though! I could hardly breathe! Good job on getting it done!

Belinda: Sounds like some great workouts you have there! Total Body Trisets seems to be the workout of the week! I know alot of people doing that one or part of it this week. Great workout!! It really is. Do you have preventitive stuff to do for sinus infections?... Oh, and how's your DH doing? did he have his surgery yet?

Oh, and I decided against getting the new TF's. I hardly do the TF HiiTs that I have now , and I have so many added in with Cathe's and the new Tabata one I had gotten. And the cardio one seems kind of basic, and I already am very comfortable with TF's. And I think it's only a 30 minute workout.

AND , they are $40.

Gonna wait for now.

Hi girls;)

I made it back for personals tonight like I said I would. Sorry, about last night.

Roxie- I have the link for the review of Turbo Fire Starter pack Rave Turbo Fire Starter, Low HIIT 20, and low HIIT 25 - Video Fitness Forum they do sound like fun and a nice change from the higher impact HiiTs which is nice just to change things up a bit. I'm seriously jonesing for these. LOL!! I'm dvd fitness addict thanks to Cathe, Chalene, Les Mills, etc... Nicely done today with total body tri sets scrambled mix. Yes, that is a killer workout and a fun one at that. Oop, I was looking at the wrong day. Great workout with KCM Circuit Blast #2, I absolutely love KCM's boxing workouts they are awesome. Execellent job on your workouts and I hope you had a nice dinner out tonight WTG!!!:D

Belinda- Good for you with Turbo Barre and a walk yesterday. I especially give you extra gold stars for doing that with a sinus infection. I hope you feel better soon! As for me I'm still dealing with post nasal drip on the back of my throat and a deep chested cough, more like a barking cough sound. I feel your pain. ((Hugs))

Debbie- Oh sorry for your headaches they are without a doubt the worst. Good call on not working out right now. I know your like me it just kills me to not workout when I have it scheduled and planned to do so. But I am learning that sometimes you just have to cave to your bodies demands to get well and rest. I know, you feel like its conceding defeat but its not. You need to rest and get well working out when there is something wrong never leads to anything good. I've tried it and speak from experience on this. Take and get some rest and I hope that darn headache leaves you immediately never to return again. Be well, my friend. ((Hugs));)

Chris- Nice work today with Jillian Michaels Body Revolution system workout #1. I've seen the infomercial and they look pretty good and they seem to be around 30 minutes so short workouts. Its just a shame that the price is too high, IMHO. Oh well, I guess it just depends on what dvds your curently drooling at and wanting to buy at the moment.

For me I'm drooling at Turbo Fire Starter Pack, Oh and I found a link for a review and break down of them. Rave Turbo Fire Starter, Low HIIT 20, and low HIIT 25 - Video Fitness Forum
I'm also wanting Michelle Dozois two new workouts, they also look awesome and a total blast of fun. No worries, I know I'd order both right now but I can't swing it at the moment so I have to save up and sit impatiently on my hands and just pine for them. LOL!! Its such a vicious cycle isn't it? LOL! Take care girlfriend;):D

That's it for me, have a great evening ladies hopefully you'll have a great nights sleep headache free.

Hugs to everyone!;):D:cool:

Nora

Hey everyone,

Yesterday I did S&G cardio only + LIC Tri sets UB splits. I also walked the dogs.

Today I will do a dog walk and Yoga Max. That's it!

Debbie - how are you feeling this morning?
Nora - I love Cardio Coach, all this workouts are awesome.

Chris - is that a new JM workout? Good job, on HSC. I carry antibiotic with me since I was hospitalized last year. My ENT told me not to take antibiotic unless I ran a fever. I have everything I need for my sinus, but it's not helping. I need the surgery. DH gets his surgery on April 26.

Off to get busy, I will be back later.

I got some decongestants yesterday and I actually feel human today. Woke up with a slight headache, but nothing like I've had. My head feels lighter and the dizzy spells are gone. So I'm thinking it was sinus pressure. Duh. I get this twice a year and this is one of those times.

Today I did Total Body and had a great workout. I haven't worked my abs yet so I did ab exercises between each rest set for the first 7 sets. My abs were burning by the end.

3 sets/15 reps with 2 minutes rest between each set (but did ab work on those rest times).

Did a lot of band work, really burned.

Tricep Band Pulldowns - Green band

Hamstring Curls - 35#

Incline Dumbbell Press - 20's

T-Band Pulls - Green band

Plie Squats - 15#
***I did three pulses for each rep and switched hands with the dumbbell and added one rep to equal it out. So total 16 reps for this.

Band Lateral Raises - Green Band

****************************************************************************************

Belinda and Roxie - No, it's not vertigo. I do have a slight case of vertigo but I only notice it when I'm waiting for a train to go by or sometimes when I watch movies. It's sinuses, and I'm hoping I'm getting it under control now.

Nora - Thanks about the headaches. I'm hoping they are on their way out.

Chris - I'll keep that in mind. I probably should get a nasal spray but that's the weird thing - my nose isn't plugged. It's all in my head, mostly the forehead, where I feel the pressure. I hate sinuses.

Good Morning,

I didn't get a workout in yesterday had a headache by the time I got off work and I still have it today. The weather is suppose to get bad here the next two days so I think that has something to do with it plus sinus crap due to allergies. Tonite I will try and do KPC but just the cardio timesaver and then some kind of standing abs and then tomarrow I will do Circuit Blast or Athletic Training and save my yoga for Sunday.

Debbie-glad to hear you feel better.

Nora-glad to hear you feel better. Like Chris I am going to pass on the new Turbo Fires I don't really do any of the others that much.

Belinda-good job with your workout yesterday.

Chris-what are you doing today KPC?

Hey girls!

Today I went to the park and ran for my cardio. I ran hill and stair repeats to my own music for 55 minutes!! Awesome day and weather and it always puts me in a great mood to run on a day like this! I thought about doing KPC, but thought it'd be crazy to stay in when it's so nice out.

Nora: Oh definitely Jillian's Body Revolution is too expensive!!! I heard the price will eventually drop, so I'm fine with waiting. I dunno, I think $40 is kind of expensive for 3 little workouts. They're 30 minutes or less! I'd be more interested in Michelle Dozios new ones too. .. Did I ask you before how long the Les Mills rotation is? I forget!

Belinda: Yes, the Jillian I did the other day is from a new workout "system" she just put out. It's called , Body Revolution. I really like it, but it's expensive, and as I said, I'll wait until the price comes down eventually. I can wait! LOL!. .... A dog walk and Yoga max sound wonderful!!!

Debbie: Great job on weights today AND abs! .. Glad you're feeling a little better. Oh, I never had congestion either. Just the headaches. The nasal spray I believe is prescription. But it's working and I am in love with it. It's "Flonase" , it decreases and prevents swelling in your sinuses.

Roxie: maybe you need Flonase too? I feel for ya on those headaches, girl. Ugh. Hope you feel better!! can you go home early?

Hi girls!;)

Oops! I forgot to check in earlier. I even finished today's short workout early today too. Oh well, I'll check in now.

Here's today's workout:

Les Mills Pump- Pump & Burn= 35 Min
Met Value= 6.50
Calories burned= 311
I used #15 BB warm ups, #20 BB, #35 BB, #10 (1) weight plate for abs.

So not a huge calorie burner, but such a fun and challenging workout. Wow, all the reps really get ya too. I think i did 100 or 200 reps and wow, the lighter weights high reps are a challenge especially the shoulder and chest set gets ya good. I'm lovin' Les Mills Pump, the music is awesome. The energy level is fun and all the instructors demonstrate great form and helpful form ques and hints to remind you. I'm really glad I got this and the 3 cardios as well, great investment. Speaking of investments, I caved today and bought the Turbo Fire Starter Pack as a teambeachbody member I get 10% off the regular price so that helps. I'll have to wait a couple of weeks or so before I can get Michelle Dozois's More Cardio Interval, and More Cardio Strength but I definitely want those. I agree Jillian Michaels Body Revolution looks awesome and is very time friendly and typical Jillian tough, which is good cause I do like her. I'll have to keep watch on that system and see if the price drops, fingers crossed, eh Chris.

Chris- Good for you to get out and enjoy good weather and taking advantage and getting in a nice run. Its great too that you ran stairs too making a very fun and challenging workout, bravo girlfriend! Oh to answer your question the Les Mills Pump is a 90 day rotation or 12 weeks. I'm currently finishing up week 4 tomorrow. Its been fun and challenging and I'm great form tips too, and the music is awesome, love it:D

Roxie- I totally sympathsize and can relate to sinus headaches and pressure, its so hard to function like that I know, so bravo on doing all that you did. I hope tonight went better for KPC timesaver cardio you planned, that is a fun workout and great for relieving any work related stress. LOL!! I hope your feeling better and have a good nights rest, take care my friend.

Debbie- Oh girl, I feel your frustration and irritation at sinus pain and pressure causing headaches and all sorts of hell. I think people sometimes downplay when others get painful sinus pressure they think so its a little cold or runny nose. I beg to differ sinus pressure and pain is hell, no other way to describe it. I've had sinus pressure so bad my teeth ached and my face was swollen and I did experience dizziness and dizzy spells and lack of balance with it. Its a nightmare so I totally feel your pain. This is week 3.5 for me and I still have post nasal drip, nasty deep barking cough. I'm still not 100% its just a slow process to get rid of this stuff. Yes, good decongestants are very helpful unfortunately in Oregon where I live you can't buy pseduofed (sp?) which does work well without a prescription or anything that contains that in it. Its a stupid law, so I have to go to the doctor to get a prescription so that's about $130 office visit plus about $55 for prescription for antibiotics and decongestant that works. I had 1 round of antibiotics different kind, finished them all and didn't work on the sinus infection and had a second doctor visit and prescription but for a broadspectrum antibiotic this time, ugh so expensive. So glad to hear you did take decongestants and feeling better and a little more like human. I see you did a total body workout as well, ^^^5's that is a big accomplishment when you haven't felt well. WTG girlfriend and I hope you'll continue to feel better and the decongestants offer more relief as well so you can function and get rest as needed. Get well girlfriend;)

Belinda- Great job of getting in workouts eventhough you're not feeling a 100% with sinus infection and stuff ((Hugs)). Yesterday, I see you did S&G cardio only + LIC Tri sets UB splits and walked the dogs. Today you mentioned taking the dogs for a walk and doing Yoga Max, sounds like a great plan. Take it easy and don't over do it. Please take care, and well done on your workouts, WTG!!:) Yes, Sean's workouts are all magic and awesome and I've learned great on spin bike as well as treadmill. I know you can use them on any cardio machine and just use them outside running, walking or biking as well I just haven't done that yet with them. Trying them on the bike was new for me and I found it very effective and fun. ;)

That's it for me tonight and I wish you all to be free of sinus issues and good night's rest. Sleep well!;)

Hugs to everyone!;):)
