Good morning ladies,

I am up since 3:30 a.m :(My nose unblocked for about 5min., hope this means it's getting better:rolleyes:Do I miss working out

What are your plans for Easter? I will be alone, DH is flying to the states.
Good news, I lost some weight this week! I wasn't hungry, I couldn't and still can't taste anything!

Debbie, THANK you so much for your advice.

Nora, thanks for the get well wishes!

Have a great one!

Good morning ladies. Just got done doing Disc 21 and surprised that I did as well as I did. I really struggle on making much progess on my barbell curls but I'm finally seeing some improvement there with these double wave loads. Feeling pumped which is such a good feeling.

Belinda-surely you have to start feeling better soon!

Karen-those uppercuts on 10-10-10 were pretty funny. Her form certainly has changed since then hasn't it?

Nora-I'm so glad to hear that there's someone else is struggling with the one legged pikes!

Have a Happy Easter girls. We are still working in my workout room and plan to get some cabinets at Ikea this weekend to hold all of my dvd's. I can't wait to get it all organized so I'm not so distracted!

Bev

Morning! I did STS Disc #9 this morning- legs. It was a good workout with the plie squats, alternating hands on the weight- my favorite! I also did the extended stretch.

Belinda: Holy night, woman! This has to improve soon! Hope you enjoy a little quiet time this weekend.

Bev: Are we living parallel lives? I will join you on the one legged pike issue (although darn it I won't give up) and also need some cabinets for my workout room. My DVDs need a home!

Have a great day everyone!

Good Morning,

Tonite is burn circuit 3 and ab burner and I won't let anything distract me from working out tonite.

Belinda-I hope you get better soon this has got to be miserable for you.

Bev-good job with the workout.

Patti-good job with your workout. It sounds like everyone is having fun with STS I can't wait to get the cardio.

Everyone have a good day and great workouts.

Patti-do you have an Ikea where you live? They have great stuff for dvd storage and very reasonable. We found cabinets that hang on the wall so that way I don't use floor space. Once we're all done I will try to remember to post a picture.

I feel like I need to work on those one legged pikes when I'm not fatigued from a cardio workout and would like to watch that segment of Cathe tv again right before I try it. Maybe during recovery week???

Happy Easter.

Bev: Yep, about 30 minutes from here- it opened about a year ago and we've never been! I think it's time- need to find a sitter, though. I refuse to chase my 2 and 3 year olds through that store. I agree on the pikes- since I watched the Cathe TV segment, I haven't tried them again and I want to this weekend!

Hi all! I had an excellent workout this morning. I did Legs and everyone knows how I hate training legs and actually I was dreading it, but once I got started the time just flew. I changed the exercises this time and I think I picked some good ones. Got my HR up big time.

10 minutes on treadmill for warmup

8 sets - 20 seconds on/10 seconds off each exercise

2 minute rest between each set

LEGS
Front Squats:
40# - 8 sets/9-8 reps
***I don't usually do this exercise because when I train heavy I can't put the bar on my shoulders. But since I can go light with this I did them. These felt great, got a great burn in my glutes. HR spiked big time with this.

Alternating Front Lunges:
12's - 8 sets/8 reps each leg
***HR got up there with this one too. Really felt it in my hamstrings and glutes.

Leg Extensions:
50# - 8 sets/12 reps
***Kept these in. Wanted to hit the quads.

Hamstring Press on High Step:
4 risers + 8# med ball in my mid area: 8 sets/14-11 reps
***These really burn after a while. I did both feet on the step at once. Felt them.

Barbell Calf Raises:
50# - 8 sets/17-16 reps
***Turned toes forward, in and out alternating. Need to go heavier here.

Then I jumped on my treadmill for 15 minutes and jogged about .8 miles.

HR STATS:
1 hr. 1 minute total
1 minute below zone
44 minutes in zone
14 minutes above zone
472 calories burned

That is all....

Hope you all have a great day!

Hey everyone - today was STS Disc 21. I always feel stronger when I work my back and biceps than when we do the shoulders, triceps and chest...hmm.

Bev - weren't those barbell curls killer? I was doing the same thing cathe was doing towards the end "ughhhh....mmmmph..." ect... I had to flex my muscles for DH when he got home. :)

I'm heading up north to my parents house tomorrow. (after I get my cardio in) I think I will be leaving DH here at home and taking our dog with us to play with their dog. There is usually alot of drama up there so can you tell I'm taking my sweet time traveling up there? I'm getting my hair cut in about a hour and maybe I'll catch a movie while DH is sleeping.

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Good Evening Ladies and happy TGIF!!!:)

Today's workout:

My knee is still hurting when I try to run on it today a bit. I wrapped my knee and was able to run but could not go higher than 1% incline this felt better for my knee today. I don't think I'll do Cardio Coach tomorrow just to make sure my knee is going to be ok and give it the extra rest.

Stretch- 5:30 min

STS-Disc #21-Back & Bi's= 59 min
Calorie Burn= 458

Great workout today! I love the waveloading. I did feel that I could go up in weight maybe 10-15% next time. So, I guess that means I'm feeling ready to go heavier. Also, the deadlifts felt easy today after lifting 56lbs on barbell rows. :) The incline curls both arms on stability ball were great. Infact, that's the heaviest wt, I've done since STS. So, I'm excited about that.:D All in all it was a fun workout today!;)

Butts & Guts= 14 Min. Floor core work with 2.5lb each ankle wts and two 5lb hand weights. Great ab work.:)
Calories burned= 76

That's it for me today! Have a great evening Ladies.;):)

Hugs!

Nora
